BACKGROUND
Azazel served Elysium over thousands of years before the creation of the world. Azazel is credited as the corrupter of humans and beasts, the one who taught them how to make weapons, knowledge previously known only among his people. This was seen as a great transgression that led to the corruption of the world, the creation of war, and, eventually, his fall. He has since been seen as the demon who is ironically responsible for giving humanity the knowledge necessary to fight against demons.
