Season One champions have been crowned—BATTLE GUPPIES reign supreme! Big changes are coming, so stay tuned for next week’s game-changing announcement!

Hi, fellow gamers and MMO enthusiasts!

Season One has officially ended, and we’re thrilled to announce the winning guild: BATTLE GUPPIES! Their dedication and skill have made a lasting impact on Fractured Online—congratulations to them, and a huge thanks to everyone who participated, both guilds and solo players!

Season End Details

The rewards for Season One will be delivered to players in eligible guilds tomorrow. These include Mecha Peckodon skins for members of the top four guilds and a special symbol next to each player’s name, colored differently according to their guild’s final bracket.

If you didn’t participate in the season, keep in mind that these guild-based rewards are in addition to all the personal rewards earned during the season—runes, artifact schematics, resources, and much more.

Starting tomorrow, Season Points will no longer be obtainable. This marks the transition between seasons and allows us to prepare for upcoming challenges and events.

To recognize the efforts of our top guilds, we’ve rescaled guild progression so that the first four guilds will all be placed in the Diamond bracket and receive the Mecha Peckodon mount skin. There are 4 variants of the mount, with the most impressive design reserved for our champions—but rest assured, the other three are awesome too! Just to be clear, the winning guild gets all the skins (1,2,3,4), the second guild gets 3 skins (2,3,4), the third guild gets 2 skins (3,4), and the fourth guild gets only the simplest skin (4).

We’re currently debating the optimal start date for Season Two. The decision hinges on our ongoing porting process—more details on that below!

Patch

Servers will go offline at 10 AM UTC tomorrow (February 27) for a patch. Downtime is expected to last a few hours, as it includes a major server migration.

Beyond distributing rewards, the patch will also address a major bug affecting the Banishing artifact weapon property (and projectiles that pierce multiple targets in general).

That Big Deal

A couple of weeks ago, we teased on Discord that “promising discussions” were underway that could bring fresh (financial!) resources and energy to Fractured Online.

Well, we’re happy to report that those discussions have turned into an actual deal that is very close to being finalized—just a bit of paperwork left to wrap up.

We can’t wait to make an official announcement—if all goes well, it’ll be happening as soon as next week!

Porting

As mentioned in our Discord server, in late January, we started exploring the option of porting Fractured Online to a new backend/network engine. Our current solution has made implementing instanced content (e.g., dungeons) a challenge, and after extensive research, we found a structurally similar option with strong Unity integration.

What started as an experiment quickly became a full-fledged port, and it’s moving much faster than expected!

We’re eager to share the name of the new engine soon! After that, we’ll publish a dashboard and a dedicated Discord channel for live updates on the porting process.
