Hey everyone, Duncan here with more answers to the most asked community questions. If you have other questions not answered you can post these to our socials including Discord.

Crafting & Resource Systems

  • Q: How will the gathering/processing/crafting loop change? Are we going to get rid of carpal tunnel syndrome making 200+ clicking just to get 1 armor piece situation?
    • A: We are exploring a new UI with that would be improvements to the crafting UI and how you navigate this. We will still have ingredients for recipes but we can make this an easier process than it is now.
  • Q: How will the wagon/carriage system be? Right now, it does not make much sense to carry heavy items from one place to another because carry amount is too small. Also you cannot put heavy ingots into carts which does not make sense.
    • A: Currently the wagon system is staying the same BUT we have an interesting direction to take wagons that we plan on exploring a bit later into our development.
  • Q: Will there be artisan related skills? Faster gathering, better processing, better crafted items and so on?
    • A: Yes we are going to have professions that you level up and gain stats to craft better items. More of this information will be shared in our crafting design reveal in the coming weeks.
  • Q: Are there any changes planned on imbuing/enchanting systems?
    • A: Yes because stats on items are changing but the core of the systems requiring regents will not.
  • Q: Will there be actual resource scarcities in certain areas within the new map?
    • A: Resource spawning is changing and will be based on the general area’s tier. More rare resources will be more difficult to find.
  • Q: Will there appropriate gathering tools? If so, will those tools add benefits to gathering.
    • A: Yes, we will be implementing proper animations and tool items for gathering.
  • Q: Will the appearance of the armors/weapons change as they get upgraded?
    • A: We are deciding on what changes either visual effects or armor changes. We first had to rebuild our character system to allow us from a tech perspective the ability to do these type of visual changes on specific pieces. We will share more of this system next week during our developer update.
  • Q: Do you also think about making changes to the way crafting works in general, so that it becomes more fluid and can become a truly stimulating market for players, and also if we will have a progression of having better refinement skills and chances as we improve and build items?
    • A: We are making changes to the crafting focused on improving the experience but also now how does crafting tie to the new progression and professions
  • Q: Will houses also be redesigned in terms of building objects to make items, such as furnaces, leather tables, etc.?
    • A: Absolutely housing is being improved upon along with decor options!
  • Q: Do you also think about the possibility of having plantations and crops so that we can sell these items for professions such as cooking, alchemy, etc.?
    • A: Yes we are scoping out those changes but we do plan either at relaunch or shortly after to have personal farming to supply cooking & alchemy.
  • Q: Regarding the status, will these be random or fixed, for example: cloth can only give intelligence and resistance to magic (fixed), or can there be a chance of any random status?
    • A: We are actively changing the armor stat design and will share more on that in one of our design reveal sessions. Our goal is not trying to lock armor into one particular play style but this is in flux at the moment.
  • Q: The idea of transporting items by caravan and also trading between cities is something that has been thought of, and if there were also other mounts to help in other activities.
    • A: Transporting will be a role players actively play and we plan on mounts/wagons to better support this play style!

Group Play & Partying

  • Q: Will the game direction look into making partying up more rewarding?
    • A: Grouping up together will always be the better way to play with benefits (such as exp) but it cannot be drastically more than solo. We will likely be testing and balancing these benefits with the community.
  • Q: Will you be keeping current friendly fire mechanics?
    • A: No we will not keep the friendly fire mechanics.

Core Mechanics/Economy

  • Q: Will regional markets still be a thing or will markets be global?
    • A: Regional markets will be a thing but with the world changing and 4 faction towns being hubs it may feel more centralized than in the past.
  • Q: Will it still a completely player driven economy?
    • A: Yes, we are working on drops that can make looting feel better but still driving the player driven economy

Region/Language

  • Q: Do you improve the translations into other languages? The translation of the video game into Spanish has many errors.
    • A: As we explore rebuilding our UI we are taking a look at the translations. I appreciate you bringing this up as quality of translation will be important for relaunch.
  • Q: Is regionalization in languages something you plan on doing, and how do you think about the servers? Will they be regionalized US, SA, EU, or will there be a single global server?
    • A: We are likely going to have a minimum of one server per region US, EU, Asia and will continue to focus on languages to support our player base.

Rewards

  • Q: Can the current accounts get a unique title that recognizes we were here before the new era? if we choose to wear that on our sleeve. like… Elysium refugee
    • A: We are exploring what options such as a title and the naming along with that. Though this is a good suggestion.
  • Q: What happens to The Foundation rewards on relaunch?
    • A: These rewards are being reviewed the same as the Kickstarter and Founders Pack Rewards. We will share out more plans now that we have a plan for the Kickstarter armors
