      @Farlander said in Real Crafting:

      Has it been decided how many stats will be incorporated upon an item?

      Not yet. But I can anticipate that there will be two ways that you will have to power up your armors/weapons..etc

      1. Through crafting, using different materials to customize the stats
      2. Enchanting system supported by a UI

      @Jetah said in Real Crafting:

      I dont remember the crafting spotlight. if it isn't out.. when?

      No, there isn't any spotlight about the crafting system yet, as you can see is a topic we still need to discuss and define in a better way.

      @Gothix said in Real Crafting:

      I'm personally hoping for some kind of system (regardless of the details) where not everyone can craft everything, at least not equally.

      I think that the search for the right materials will prevent that possibility. For example, if a specific kind of steel could be found only in Tartaros, the creation of the related piece of armor will become quite an undertaking if you are a human or a beastman.

      @Farlander said in Real Crafting:

      Will we be able to have all the recipes or will we have to pick and choose which ones we keep?

      This topic is a little bit in advance πŸ™‚ Sorry if sometimes I'm not so clear, but these things are often just ideas or work in progress stuff. Anyway, you will be able to keep all the recipes you want. Our concept is: you will have a unique recipe for an item, is the formula that changes, you will be able to combine available materials (different kinds of leathers, stones, steels) as you want to create something unique according to your needs.

      Hmmm... I am not sure how this answers my question how players can actually get those recipes.. πŸ˜‰

      You're right, sorry! πŸ˜„ We still don't know; it is something that we will decide in the future.

      @Gothix said in Real Crafting:

      Could we get crafting be a skill based process instead of having dry, old crafting style where you combine mats X and Y, and create product Z, and everyone who does this process creates exactly the same Z?

      There will be a standard crafting system, we aim to allow players to recover/create in an "easy" way their equips, trying to remove grinding and random outcomes, so when you craft something, it will have predetermined characteristics.
      The interesting part is that there will be more recipes for the same item. For example, if you use one material rather than another, you could create an armor with more slots for enchantments or with different statistics. During Alpha 2 you will be able to taste this with Alchemy and Enchanting.

    • RE: How many channels will there be if implemented?

      @Belligero We will have a unique channel for the game. After the test phases and the official launch we will see how the servers will respond and then, maybe, we will consider adding new ones for the geographical areas where it is needed. In this spotlight, it is explained better πŸ™‚

      @Syllah said in Fractured Content Pills - Week 25, 2019:

      Something of a random thought, but will spells require components? Perhaps not basic ones, but more elaborate rituals? Or even, several people who know the same spell?

      After you took the possibility to study the spell killing a foe you will need the right amount of knowledge points and a blank tome of the right school. Check out this Spotlight for more!

      @Savitr said in Fractured Content Pills - Week 25, 2019:

      Will the fireballs be able to light the area cobwebs on fire? Any known planned spell interactions at this time?

      With the fireball, you will be able to cover only a part of the cobweb area.

      There are spells that are thought to be used only in combination with others. For example, Strike Wounds makes more damages depending on the number of a target's "wounds". For wounds, we mean physical status effects like bleed, blind, etc that you have to activate using other spells.

      @Robinhoodrs said in Fractured Content Pills - Week 25, 2019:

      Are we going to get staffs for magic? Because seeing it come from your hands is, eh... meh?

      Yes, there will be magic staffs! Don't worry πŸ˜‰

      @Logain said in Fractured Content Pills - Week 25, 2019:

      Do you need other tools as well, or just a weaving station to weave magical tunics?

      You will need other work stations to create clothes, suits and decorations. πŸ™‚

      @Aurellas said in Fractured Content Pills - Week 25, 2019:

      Not sure if this has been said before, but will we be able to craft dyes as well? And will there be a possibility of multiple layers of dyeing? Like primary dye, with a lining dye and an emblem dye for example?

      If I wanted to dye my cape (if there are) black, then add a silver or gold lining on the outside, and then perhaps add a silver or gold emblem, will I be able to do something like that?

      We are planning something for the future: we'd like to give you the possibility to dye leather and cloth suits. Metal armors will be less customizable because their colour will depend mainly on the types of steel you used to craft them, but there will be smaller parts that you will be able to customize anyway.

    • Fractured Content Pills - Week 25, 2019

      Hello everybody,

      Today our appointment with the Fractured Pills will definitely make you sweat! Our devs implemented two other working stations after the ones revealed in the previous episodes.

      You’ll never be idle in the Fractured Lands nor your days will be dull!

      Content Pills 4.jpg

      Here it is in all its craftsmanship, the Weaving Station!

      weaving INSTA.jpg

      This may seem a simple machine to most, but you will be able to create the best cloth from wools and silks to customize your outfit and your house. Beautiful tapestries, banners, coaches and beds, and of course, magical tunics and garments…ok, no more spoilers.

      Ehm, just for a while… as anticipated, I’m going to parade another basic instrument, vital for every hero throughout Myr: The Milling Stone!

      stonemill insta.jpg

      You will need strong arms to spin those big stones, but don't give up grinding the grains abundantly harvested in the meadows and fields of Myr. The Milling Stone will allow you to obtain white flour to produce the bread that will feed you during heroic journeys through new lands or sitting on the sofa after sunset.

      Ok, now I should warn you:

      Light SPOILER.

      Do you have access to Alpha1-Test2 and you don’t want to know anything more?

      CLOSE THIS PAGE!

      For you, brave-hearted and thirsty of knowledge, here’s the sneak peek.

      Combat won’t be the same thanks to a set of new spells: fireballs, magic missiles, paralyzing touches and many more will help you to challenge the new and old foes of Fractured!

      See you guys!

    • RE: Stretch Goals

      Hi Everybody,
      We decided not to add new stretch goals because we want to be realistic. In this period, we will focus our efforts on the developing of the basic mechanics and the knowledge system of Fractured and would make no sense promising new features that, right now, we can't afford. Remember that we decided to keep going on with these goals to allow you to obtain also the ones that we didn't succeed to reach during the Kickstart campaign. But, don't worry, because maybe new ones will be added after the start of Beta Phases! πŸ™‚

      @Dr-Quick said in Human er, taming:

      Quick question, something I hadn't thought about before was, NPCs, will they be out there, and if so will humanoid NPCs be tamable (either as a Companion or a Pet), solid examples of this are squires, porters, minstrels, and slaves. 2 of those can fight and 2 really should not but cosmetically fill out the world and it's travelers. πŸ˜‰

      Hello! No, it is almost unlikely, the main thing that NPC will do is giving quests and tasks inside towns. You will be able to keep with you only pets, companions or monsters.

      Mounts are ofc used for traveling and transporting and cattle as part of farming and cooking. But.. I have been thinking, what kind of use those pets are actually planned? Utility, cosmetic, combat?

      Apart from mounts and livestock, you will have companions and pet.

      • Companions: they will have only aesthetic purposes.
      • Pet: they will be able to help you during fights casting spells, special abilities, or giving you buffs to protect you or your teammates.

    • RE: The End of most Sandbox PVP Games-The losing side.

      Hello everyone, it is still too early to speak about this kind of things, we didn't have cities or sieges yet! πŸ™‚
      Anyway, it is a tough topic to discuss, and we are aware that it will be one of the main things to care about in the future. From our side, we can say that our will is to maintain a balance between guilds, we won't give too much power to the biggest ones and we will try to avoid that. For sure, there will be bigger and stronger guilds, and we won't apply any members caps. Remember that spaces for city buildings will be limited, and if a guild decides to have more members than the city could host, it will be forced to have different settlements with following problems about communication and mobility (especially for resources transports). Another thing that will make things harder is the knowledging system and the "need" for exploring and discovering. Guilds will be tempted to reach different parts of the planet to be competitive (maybe conquering a crucial geographical point or a relic); in this way, having too many cities concentrated in the same place won't draw a critical advantage.
      Last, if a guild will succeed to conquest a settlement, it will force the losers to pay taxes and ONLY if they won't be able to do that the city will pass to the winners.

      @Jetah said in Fractured Content Pills - Week 22, 2019:

      @Znirf

      Then what type of convenience will Fractured have? Usually it's pay to bypass the crafting wait (even Warframe has it).

      We don't want to give any "time savers" because, right now, our priority is the in-game experience balancing. As we already said a lot of times, our monetization plan will be based exclusively on a cosmetic system. You will be able to spend our hard currency (Dynamight Gold) for cosmetic upgrades and the VIP status (you can have more info about VIP here).
