    • RE: Effect from Taming on mainly PvP

      @Yitra said in Effect from Taming on mainly PvP:

      This might not even been worked out by development, but I was wondering how taming will effect PvP.

      1. Besides open world PvP, where I expect tamed animals to be availalble, I was wondering if you can have them with you during city raids and/or in arena-like PvP (if that's even becomming a thing in Fractured, not sure)

      2. Can they travel with you to other planets, or will it be too stressfull for them 🙂

      3. On a PvE aspect, will they be able to go with you into a (instanced) dungeon ?

      4. Will a tamed beast keep his original stats and "spells" or will they become equalised and for example every spider get a predetermined spell set, so the difference will only be visual.

      5. And as I understand the maximum amount of pets is determined by the Charisma you have. Will this mean a max of (for example) 3-5 pets (Diablo 2 Druid) or 20+ like in a Diablo 2 Summoner.

      Hello everyone,
      A player can tame only monsters and animals that are in-game, so there won't be any creature that exists only as a pet. But obviously, not all the existing mobs can be tamed, for example, we will avoid the training of the ones with too much HP or too strong.

      For the questions 1,2 and 3, the answer is yes since carrying a pet is a core part of the player's build. You can bring your pet out wherever you want; there won't be any restrictions about that.

      For 4 and 5. The pet abilities will be the same as the original tamed animal. For the future, maybe we will add the possibility to tame your pets actively, deciding the spells you want or change some of them as you prefer. But we speak about expansions post-release, there is time 🙂
      Everything concerning pets is related to Charisma. One of the modifiers linked to it will be "Animal Handling" and will determine:

      • How many pets you will be able to carry with you (The maximum number will be three pets at the same time, also depending on the strength of them).
      • If you can control them (For example, the monsters will be challenging to tame, the animals instead will be accessible to everyone)

      @Kuroi said in Effect from Taming on mainly PvP:

      there are instanced dungeons confirmed for fractured? really?

      Yes! There will be public instanced dungeons, so, anyone can enter there at the same time and play together.

    • RE: Summon Fellow Demon Players Ability

      Hello everyone! Demons will have some small advantages, especially during the Asteroids events, but they won't have the possibility to summon others of the same race.

      Explaining how the teleport will work in Fractured; one single person should ever initiate the act of teleporting or casting a spell or entering a portal, and there will be:

      • teleporting spells that will be almost direct and will transport only the caster.
      • Portals or teleporting systems for a group of people or materials: in this case, it will be necessary a structure of some kind (permanent or not), and a high consumption of resources.

      So in general, teleporting will be a really tough activity and will require a big effort!

      So now that new cosmetics are out, what are the plans for Fractured: leave them available over the years or make them uniques wave after wave?

      Hello! We plan to create a sort of items rotation for the store; new pet/building design/decorations/..etc will slowly replace the older ones, so, we can say that almost all the things that you can find in the store are "exclusive". 🙂

      @ROCKARMY said in Communication between the worlds:

      Will there or should there be communication between the different worlds, without actually travelling between them of course. What if you and your friend are on different worlds and wish to communicate with one another?

      @LilCassiopeia said in Communication between the worlds:

      I think the most you can hope for is a global channel which only applies to the world you are playing in.

      Probably we won't implement any global chat; it would be too chaotic and scarcely manageable. Instead, there will be the classical city, guild and group chats, and of course, you will be able to send private messages to the person in your friend list.

      @Xzoviac said in Communication between the worlds:

      Possibly it each race will speak a diffrent language and you will have to learn the language to speak to other races

      The possibility to have different race languages is quite impossible to develop in Fractured where cooperation, the karma system and guilds have a core role. For example, a new player won't be able to understand other guild companions unless they share the same race (It will force the creation of single-race guilds). So, language learning would represent a limit and a must to do for the majority of the in-game activities, and we don't want that.

      @Jetah said in When will shop items become available ?:

      @Znirf

      are these item(s) permanently purchased or will the gold be refunded at release or in another test phase?

      The bought items will become permanently bonded to your account, as you noticed all of them are pets or cosmetics things, so there is no need for a later refund. 🙂

      Now that we can buy gold, pets and decorations in the shop, I was wondering if we can use those in the upcomming alpha 2 test, or at a later moment (at live)?

      Yes, during alpha 2 you will be able to use all the things available in the store!

      Sorry, I could have read the roadmap. I finally found it lol. I was looking all over the forums for it.

      Do you think beta will still hit Q1 2020?

      Right now it's hard to give you a precise answer; all will depend on the features that the team will succeed to bring out in this period and also on the timing of the next test phases.

      what animal is the helmet a giant rat?

      It is the skull of a particular species of vampire/beast that goblins use to combat. Since those kinds of bones are robust and durable, they are also used for the creation of artifacts or weapons.

      @Znirf My personal favorite is that goblin with armor, looks really cool. I was wondering.. could that elemental's corpse be gatherable? Perhaps some uncommon or rare stones for quarriers?

      You will be able to loot it as any other foes, but no, you won't be able to gather the corpse.

      @Farlander said in Sparring/Duels:

      I know from my UO days often players from the same guild would like to spar or practice pvp. Also in SWG there was the option to duel someone. So I was wondering if this option might be considered for Fractured.

      @Jetah said in Sparring/Duels:

      There's no inter-good karma PvP. But i do believe there should be duals.

      @Tuoni said in Sparring/Duels:

      Of course there should be duel option for everyone regardless of the race or planet you are playing.

      @Belligero said in Sparring/Duels:

      Dueling is a basic and old game mechanic.

      I would expect it to be in unless they have good reason for not doing so.

      Of course guys we will implement duels in the future! Don't worry 🙂 They obviosly won't affect Karma.

    • Fractured Content Pills - Week 31, 2019

      Hello guys!

      Here we are together again by popular demand with the Fractured Pills!
      After the end of A1T2, our team is pumped as never before for the release of the new features that will enrich your Fractured travels! For today the plate is full: the monsters’ roster will be enriched with new creatures that will severely put you to a hard test!
      Let the parade begin!
      We already spoke about the new Goblin Hills in our first appointment, do you remember that? The landscape was already threatening back then, but a little bit desert; so, let’s start to populate it with these sneering and jeering goblins! Some chaotic and boorish yells are coming!

      Those war paints aren't enough to intimidate you?

      Goblin war paints.jpg

      Easy guys! They won’t be naked and defenseless like in the photo: here it is, their fearsome elite force, the Goblin Enforcer! These brave little warriors will fight to the death just to have a bite of your fresh meat!

      goblin1 enforcer.png

      Now, let's start looking down south. You are wandering through the pristine forest of Hearthwood, now let me show the way to the mystical temple of Tyros… there, plant creatures and wisps protect the sacredness of the place. Wait, what is that? Oh, that is a majestic elemental, generated by the primal force of the Elysium, guardian of nature and the stones!

      You’ll have to be swift to evade their powerful smashes!

      Ele1.jpg

      Finally, I'd like to leave you with a brand-new armor suit! Here it is, in all its stylishness, the mage armor! Are you ready to cast the most destructive fireballs of your life?

      The female version…

      Mage_female.jpg

      And the male one!

      See you next time, Fractured wanderers!

      @Roccandil said in Can each of our account toons have a house?:

      This topic came up today, and I was wondering! Specifically, I'd like to have a Beastman with a house in Arboreus, a Human with a house in Syndesia, and a Demon with a house in Tartaros.

      Will that be doable in any way? Say: maybe I can only have one claim per account anywhere in Fractured, but can I at least buy multiple city plots per account, on different toons in different places?

      You will be able to have one house for each of the three continents; then you will log in with your characters depending on their races and karma. So for example for an evil alignment human, you will have the possibility to settle down him in the house in Tartaros.

      @Warlunhardt said in Are we able to collect water from Rivers,Lakes,etc:

      I’ve seen stream twitch but passing through river doesn’t makes it interactive.

      Hope this implemented on later date, that way players stop their thirst that way.

      For simplicity, we decided to rule out water as a resource; it is something that we will probably add in the future.

      @Kralith said in Are we able to collect water from Rivers,Lakes,etc:

      I am almost sure, they will think about swimming through water later on.

      You won't ever be able to scuba dive, but most likely we will implement the possibility to swim at the surface for crossing rivers. (It will also depend on what you're wearing).
