@Pluto So you're going with "stop coding and do it themselves". Hmmmm.

It’s like you didn’t read a thing I said. Nice.

Suppose I can’t argue with someone like that haha πŸ˜‰

lol, there are a few forum members that seem to do that. Read only half the post (if that) and reply to it.

      Seem to do what?

You can just go for those titles that seem interesting for you, and put in an effort to collect those.

I think that people who try to collect "everything" in game always have a painful life. πŸ˜›

      I know this pain

@PeachMcD Actually its not a matter of patience. Its a matter of keeping interest in their product, which we are a funding so some degree. Companies always keep their stakeholders updated on what is going on. DS even has a person whose job it is to do this. Judging by the lack of forum activity and the very few (compared to the past) number of folks saying 'hi' I would say interest in waning. It is puzzling that the devs allow this. Oh well.

I think they only want to post when they have content updates or actually have news and this spartial os, port is screwing them over.

I guessing they dont want to post once a month saying yeah still fighting with this pesky bug, or this issue, just wont fix.
Incase it causes worry in the community.

Unfortunately radio silence also causes worry
      So they cant win.

Fingers crossed the cursed OS will be resolved soon, so we can go back to getting regular information updates

I have a very mixed metaphor mental image: the devs with their noses to the grindstone trying to get the next test up without any more delay than necessary, while we all are chasing our tails looking for something new to talk about in here.
Patience never has been a gamer virtue but we're not gonna make anything happen faster by stamping our little feet.

      de9a3e44-2ec1-473a-90c5-7b7cd4beffde-image.png

Partialy agree I dont mind waiting for content, but it takes minutes to keep us updated.

They have a person just for this job.
It's not stomping our feet, expecting to be kept in the loop.

Look at earlier posts other games stop posting content updates, then three years later the game is shutdown never to be finshed

This happens all the time, with game studios.

And for this reason in my opinion it's good practice to keep information flowing as it alleviates the stresses towards risking large amounts of money, for the individual backer.

And more importantly shows a company that truly cares about its community

      Hello All,

Anyone tell me which programming language is best for future point of view Python or Javascript. I want to start learning but still confused between them. Any suggestions about both of them.

C# (sharp) is the language I like most I watched bob tabor, on the microsoft website great for new coders and free.

If it has to be between those two I'd pick java...

Entirely depends what you want to use it for.

A load of my friends still use Delphi and that is fine for them

Banks get hacked too, don't you watch the movies?

You just need to create octopus trojan with 8 binary tentacles and steal a bank employee desktop password by posing as mailman.

Sounds like a spiderman plot lmao

... well not from me. They lost me as a source when they sold packages for less than the Kickstarter πŸ˜‰

I dont understand this point, why do you care if someone gets it for cheaper?

The kickstarter and crowdfunding is like a here have my money I want this game to succeed, if them lowering the price increases the chance the game will succeed it means your money is not wasted

Also finding your random mid sentence and end of sentence winking disturbing

@Jetah I don't know about that gift card, I paid with bank or credit card and there was no extra fees. Well there was a good amount of options so maybe next time choose something else. πŸ˜‰

you dont understand the conversation. someone said they dont want their credit card info stored on a publishers/developers servers because people can steal bank info. That tells me they dont use banks at all and only use cash. In order to pay with cash online they'd have use gift cards. Using gift cards online to buy items not of the gift card store means they pay 20% more (at least that's how it worked for me).

credit card and paypal are both 'banks' so the person isn't using those options.

you said alternative payments (to banks) which is only gift cards. either with the merchant (like buying Blizzard balance or Steam wallet) or using (Target/Wal-mart/etc) gift card with xsolla will cost 20% more. The other option could be some of the few prepaid credit cards but those are being phased out, because I assume money laundering or something like that.

The difference between bank security and a random game is completely different, online companys get breached and the Db get hacked all the time, banks do not

@Roccandil said in Trading, In-game market:

I hate item decay, that is, durability loss over time (not use). 😞 That turns the game into a repetitive chore.

Item durability going down on use is a different matter, but even then, it's annoying.

What -really helps the economy is something like Albion's item-trashing system, where on PvP death a significant portion of gear is simply removed from the game. I really like that, for two reasons:

      • The dying player has lost everything anyhow, and won't really care if some gear was trashed (would probably prefer it!);
      • The looting player gets some gear (plus the kill), and so still gets a reward (sometimes a very good reward).

That method "hides" an item sink in plain sight, and is not a frustrating, repetitive burden.

thats fine till you consider pve only beastmen, they need a different system, and it does not make sense to have decay on one planet and not the others

it depends on the planet you're on. the Beast planet will no very little pvp so very little removal of gear via full loot pvp. however, there will be a decay of gear over time that'll mean you'll eventually replace your gear.

honestly there's so little information on crafting and the last spotlight was July of last year!

I missed Decaying gear was that in a spotlight?
