      @Finland how will scams be reduced within the beastkin community is a bounty can't be placed on them? How will a scammer be punished (outside of DS) by the community. At best you spam chat saying player xxx is a scammer don't trade. then that player just changes characters. It's possible that a max amount could be placed on a good aligned character then after so much is placed the NPC guards could carry out the sentence or the player can be exiled.

      Such thing can easily be abused. If I don't like a player, I can simply put enough bounties on them to force them off the planet.

      @Miffi I agree that if i'm not watching the trade carefully then it's my fault (assuming i'm being scammed). You played BDO knowing you could be ganked right and that it was part of the game. That's how I see Fractured. If you're outside of any protection (cities, villages, etc) then you should expect a pvp encounter. it's like being in a war and not expecting bombs to be dropped or guns to be fired or IDE hidden under the surface. @Finland this applies to you also.

      This is not how Fractured works, atleast not on Arboreus. If you want to be able to gank everyone and everywhere, I don't think Fractured is the right game for you.

      I can't see the developers offering 2 systems one for Arboreus and 1 for the other 2 planets.

      Sandbox games should have the population setup to handle the affairs of the game with some extreme cases being directed to the developers.

      bounties on beastmen could be an attraction for demons and humans to invade. sure the beastkin couldn't do something but that doesn't mean they're completely immune. a bountied beastmen could head to the human planet and be killed thus the bounty is collected.

      Lorewise, a Beastman putting a bounty on another good Beastman would likely be considered an act of evil. If such option exists, there will be grave repercussions.

      Abilities have 3 levels, that's the only leveling there will be. You can't judge experience by the number of unlocks in the knowledge system because not everyone will bother to complete it. Some will want to collect em all, others will stop once their build is complete.

      You could never punish people for that. The good-aligned Beastmen are unable to attack each other, and a bounty system won't change that. In fact, I think that the Beastmen are diametrically opposed to such system and if it exists, it won't exist on Arboreus. If you use a Beastmen alt to lure people into an ambush, that's beyond the reach of the build-in punishment systems as the game has no way of knowing you lured people. Also, we don't know yet what the rules regarding scamming will be. Humans and demons can probably scam with impunity, but maybe the devs will apply different rules to Arboreus because the rules there prevent revenge against scammers.

      Evil players face justice on the human planet, and on the beastmen planet everything turns against them and they will suffer from debuffs while there. Obviously those punishments don't apply to good players. The demon planet is lawless so I doubt they have punishments for good players either.

      i'm basing this on the 'those that can only play for 1 hour a day' statement. you're asking for less than 1 hour to swap attributes.

      Or you can not lie about what I said, which was "24 hours (of active play)". That would still be almost a month, for someone who only played 1 hour a day (which by the by you would have recognized as a hyperbolic example if you were arguing honestly.)

      are you going to complain if it take a year to swap alignments for beastkin and demons too?

      Absolutely. That's pretentious and utterly stupid.

      The devs have said that it will take a long time to change your allignment and it will be very hard to do. Idk if it will take a year, but it definitely shows that the devs aren't afraid of making things take a long time. 😛

      Bounty systems are used to punish players, putting bounties on innocents doesn't make sense and would just turn it into a pointless griefing mechanic. What's stopping you from simply paying demons to kill beastmen, if you like that so much? You don't need a bounty mechanic for that.

      Easiest way is rarity.

      Healing potions are more common in Arboreus, semi-rare in Syndesia, and very rare in Tartaros. So Tararos will value healing potions more highly than in Arboreus.

      Reverse that for mana potions.

      Then give Syndesia a higher drop-rate on scrolls of identify.

      Something like that - specifics aren't really important.

      It would basically work like any other resource: A trader taking Crystal from Arboreus and travelling to Tartaros to trade it for poison glands (or whatever) harvested from Tartaros' wildlife, then back to Arboreus, building value every time.

      Same thing for consumable currency items.

      Probably too complicated to implement that way, but I think it would be neat if they did. 🙂

      That would never work. I assume Fractured will have a lot more items than PoE. For example, you use healing and mana potions as an example, but I am pretty certain that in Fractured, alchemists will be able to make a lot more than 2 potions. 😛 With all the crafting, gathering, etc going on, it's likely there will be hundreds of different items in the game. With that many items, you can't use them as currency unless players are going to do what Guild Wars players did and designate one item as an alternative currency, like ecto in GW.

      I really hope there's a way to change our attributes, and I like @Jedah's idea on how to do that. When I first heard about the Knowledge System, I was very exited about the prospect of traveling the worlds to collect all the available abilities. However, if I can't change my attributes, there's no point in collecting any abilities beyond the ones related to my attributes and the ones that provide utility. As I am a huge completionist, it would greatly reduce the content available to me. I believe I've said it before, limiting attributes like this goes against the design goal of the Knowledge System.

      It's pretty hard to discuss a mechanic that might not exist in the game. We don't know how equipment will work at all :s Maybe @Prometheus can tell us whether or not there's a repair system.

      I agree. Without any way to change attributes, the game will boil down to STR/DEX/CON melee builds, DEX/PER ranged builds, INT caster builds and the occasional CHA Bard. It would practically be a class system. I hope the devs reconsider their stance on attribute respecs and allow us to change our attributes, even if it takes a long time to do so.

      @FibS I agree with you as well. For a game that advertises its build freedom and respeccing as a major feature, it's weird that they would lock us into our attributes.

      Correct! Which is precisely why you want to narrow down your target audience, so people know. You can not carter to everybody, if you try, you're going to fail and alienate everybody. If the game wants to carter to 'pure PvE', it's going to fail hard on the PvP side if the game wants to carter to PvP, it shouldn't try and support pure PvE. Simply let people know in advance, then nobody can complain.

      But the devs have said they want to focus on both. That's why there are 3 planets with 3 rulesets. If the devs just wanted to focus on 1 thing, we would have had either Tartaros or Arboreus, not both.
