Not all the developers are coders or art. Znirf first post said he is a CM, nowhere does it mention he codes.
CM is not his only job in the team: link text Just as Prometheus is not only playing boss
Most likely you are right. In small startup companies it is quite normal that employees are doing different tasks and have several roles. That is a bless and curse at the same time.

RE: Rhykker Mention of "Pay for Convenience"
@Basileus Well P2W is not that simple or black and white. Paying for getting any kind of advantage can be considered as P2W as well. Depends of the game and the context.

RE: Dual Wield / Fist Weapons
@Znirf That talent for dual-wield sounds nice plan. However, if I use different types of weapons, do I get more ability variations than those who are wielding two daggers for example? If I wield dagger and mace, do I have access to dagger and mace specific abilities?
EDIT: Or are those abilities only for mainhand weapons and not available for offhands?

I looks like dual wield will be available, what will it be limited to, also what about Fist weapons.
Dual Dagger / Dagger + Sword / Dual Axe
Well at least mixing dual wield weapons would allow players to have more ability combinations in use. I like the idea having a sword and mace for example, but would that be superior when compared to dual-wield swords..
Maybe player using two weapons of same type could get slight bonus to certain abilities to keep this in balance..

@Gothix Making a scene in a diner is a little bit different than in forums. In restaurant that would be a really annoying, but here it is more like "whatever".
People will think twice before making a scene in a diner, on a forum not so much. The anonymity makes it a lot easier, and not in a good way.
Yeah you are right.

@Yitra It also isn't as bothersome here. Loud noises tend to be annoying.
You too.

The irony is that the staff are being incredibly professional with how they're dealing with this guy. I would've gotten fired two pages ago lol
You are right they have been very professional, which is of course a really good thing.
However, if I reflect the OP's feedback to what I have experienced to see from customers, this is not even near worst what I have seen. Sometimes the frustration of customers can lead to them use very harsh words, but usually dealing the case appropriate way calms down the whole case and especially the customer.
As in a role of purchaser I have myself gave quite harsh feedback if the supplier has done something really weird or bad. Now when I think those cases afterwards, I should wait one more day with my feedback, because then there would been less emotions involved and more constructive content. I guess that 1 day rule is good advice for everyone.

RE: Where is the news of the next test phase...
Well in that context the word "deadly" does not even mean killing or threatening. It means that his words are much more harsh, because he is a customer. Anyway, this has nothing to do with the whole point so lets forget about it..
..Imho OP had few valid points and concerns, but how those where brought up was inappropriate.

RE: Rhykker Mention of "Pay for Convenience"
When I red the Rhykker article, the worst part imo was those weapon upgrades what you could buy with money. I am not sure how much power those give to players, but at least sounds a really bad idea.

A lot of MMORPG gives you the possibility (later on) to catch up by the newest contest by a level boost. I have never considered that P2W. Besides that, I have not that many hours to spend on gaming as the younger generation for example, so if there will be possibilities to use that sort of conveniences to keep on par over time with friends and/or guildmates.
I can understand that having services which can give you advantages at the start of the life cycle is not smart. But later on I do hope there are possibilities, if not for me, then at least stuff that can encourage new players to jump in the game.
I agree and I do not see anything wrong with some catch up mechanics, especially after the game has been up few years. Little boost in case like that would be nice for those who finds Fractured a little bit later.

@Kralith I remember too the mention of carpenter and knowledge point boost, but nothing more... Anyway, I hope it stays like that and the focus will be more in cosmetics.

@Specter Yeah, anytime communication happens... it needs to happen on as many platforms as possible.
I've seen this with many game studios, where they just post on one, and then wonder why people didn't know. The simple truth is that people aren't going to follow every platform, some people won't even use some of the platforms, and limiting information outreach is just a negative for studios. The few minutes to copy that to other places has a big impact on the connection to people.
It is basically a classic blunder that even veteran studios have problems with... there is no harm, though, in taking the effort to fix it.
This is a really good point and I hope devs will concider to use next time all the platforms they have in use.

RE: Next test phase
Like mentioned, there is a community manager for a reason.. And what it comes for the other staff, even they are really busy with developing the game, I see it as an invest for the future to pop up now and then to take part to few conversations with the community or publish some new news. Content pills series is a good starting point, but something extra would be nice.

RE: Alpha 2
(...)some games can be quite playable even those are at alpha state. Albion for example was very playable in alpha(...)
That's what I meant to point out. A game is in beta when it is playable, simply because alpha means that it is not feature complete.
Albion was not feature completed in alpha, not even close, but those features which were was working nicely and created enough good entirety so it could be tested several weeks for row. However, there was still a clear gap between alpha and beta so I do not see any problem with the naming of phases.

RE: Next test phase
Keeping community satisfied and updated is one part of marketing strategy. Every community member is a potential customer and I suggest to keep that in mind.

RE: Alpha 2
@Pluto I expect us to see a good amount of playable content in A2, but not that much what I saw in Albion. My point was that there will be features, which needs much more testing than a week or two to give enough valueable feedback.
I have actually bought B1 package, and for the reason you mentioned, I want to focus my testing to point when there is a lot of content and the game is closer of actual release. However, I tested in the A1/T2, but because I was lucky and I won a key.

RE: Alpha 2
@Logain Yeah you are right, but on top of that some games can be quite playable even those are at alpha state. Albion for example was very playable in alpha, but it depends a lot of game too I guess.
If we think of Fractured and how much there is content planned for A2, it sounds like several weeks of testing. At least town building/progression and knowledge system are features, which needs a good amount of time to be tested properly.
