I faced few times a gathering problem where the gathering process stayed in a loop. Meaning, when the bar camed to the end it started over and over again until I moved away. This happened me inside the tutorial town, in cotton field and its near environment.
Hmmm... And how we get into the game? I did not find the instructions or are those coming closer to start of the test?

The global situation because of Covid-19 is really bad and in U.S.A. the situation is worst of all. Over 450K confirmed infections at the moment and it is getting worse every day, who knows how long this trend continues. So this announcement did not come as surprise even it is unforunate news. This makes me wonder, what about the beta? Beta starts during july.

I would have pre-ordered even with the OWPvP, but the change in the direction definitely made me happy, because I prefer consensual PvP over Unrestricted.
I am also fine with both decisions but I cannot say which direction I prefer more. I do not have a favourite PvP (or PvE) ruleset and I have always examined how the rules suits with that specific game. I am very open minded what it comes to the games and I am excited to wait and see how the new direction in New World works out.

Well with this change they will definitely get more new players than what they have lost. Hardocre PvP fans are a niche but I still hope devs will decide to open PvP servers as well.

The change of direction was of course a really bad news for all hardcore OWPvP fans. I do not personally mind because I am fine with both rulesets. However, I hope the devs will consider starting separated PvP servers for those who would like to have a full loot system in use. This is not happening for release but I have understood that the devs will at least consider make this happen in future. In my opinion PvP servers should be already at launch because otherwise Amazon has already lost part of the former players/testers for good.
Because Fractured is based on these three different planets with three different playstyles I would not be concerned of any changes between relation of PvE and PvP. There is no reason to make any changes because different playstyle already has its own playgrounds.
And what it comes to Amazon and New World they did not change the focus entirely for PvE, they more like wanted to combi PvE and PvP together. Also Amazon faced some serious problems during the alpha test phase because of extreme toxic behaviour related to open world full loot PvP. The focus is still in PvP, but not in the hardcore way. I understand this change has caused a lot of negative feedback from hardcore fans behalf but I guess Amazon needed to think of the larger picture and future of the game. In my opinnion it would be the best solution open separated hardcore PvP servers and that way cater also that audience, and if I remember right they might even concider that.

I got enough WoW Classic and retail for now so it is time to focus on something else. Currently I have no game to play but I hope I found one before summer.

That is smart. There is no reason to rush especially when the release is so close, about inside 1,5 months.

Well I do not have much information so I can not make an argument to way or another, I just watched few videos related to this topic e.g. TheLazyPeon and Bellulargaming. Peon thought it was a scam and Bellulargaming was more like thinking that they just run out of money. However, Michael was somewhat suspicious that something shady there was involved as well. I got the picture that something shady business there has been done during the development even it was at the beginning an idea to deliver a game for real. Perhaps it turned a scam at some point when it started to look kind of bad to release the game ever... just speculations though.
How the town progression system is going to work in practice?
If we look the Feature Spotlight #7 - Towns, Governors & Politics. There is mention of five stages of the town development which are Hamlet, Village, Town, City and Metropolis. What kind of activities players needs to accomplish or what kind of actions will effect to the progression of town?
What separates these town development stages from each other? What more a higher level town will offer on top of the size?

Yeah, I was not following this project that closely but it is always a shame when MMORPG is canceled, it is at least a bad reputation for the whole genre. There are few predictions or opinnions why CoE was canceled, maybe it was a scam or maybe the studio just run out of money. Either way something odd there happened.

Oh my god... The dailies or general repetitive daily and weekly activities are something I have really learned to hate, mainly thanks for WoW. No game should design the content over repeatable quests and activities to ensure players to login. This can work at start but will definitely lead to boredom sooner or later. And this argument is based on 70 exalted faction reputation experience. 
If a game is well designed in general and it offers different kind interesting things to do and meaningful goals to achieve, those will be enough to get players to login daily basis.

I am now going to necro my old thread from the last year and sorry about that. I am interested to know how those who have played or who are still playing have experienced the Classic WoW? What you think about this game?
Personally, I was really hyped and I also enjoyed the experience until I got bored and I quit, that is the short version. I had fun when leveling and I especially liked the challenge what Classic offered. However, the leveling experience turned boring over time and it felt that the progression stopped somewhere after level forty. I was playing casually and purely just for fun which also started to show with the speed of progression. So I stopped playing Classic and I decided to test out the retail version, and hey why not, I was already paying the monthly subscription. Now I have wade throught the Warlords of Draenor, Legion and BfA expansions and run out of reasonable things to do already, so I have canceled the subscription once again. I have to say that upcoming Shadowlands expansion looks promising, but only time will tell, if it will be a success or a flop like BfA.
What I have read about the co-op of PvE and PvP it could actually work. Both are needed to develop towns and help with war when fighting other factions. The game looks visually awesome and I really like the 17th century style of weapons and armors. Those are a little bit different what we have used to see but still enough close to Middle Ages. I like the idea to have three weapons sets what you can swap on the fly in middle of the fight.
While we are still waiting quite a long time of Fractured release most people are going to play something else during the time of waiting. Amazon studios will release New World MMO in may 2020 and it looks like kind of interesting concept tbh. It reminds me a little bit of Fractured at least what it comes to the feeling of survival aspect and the freedom in character progression.
I have been awere of this project few years but I have lately started to follow more closely when the development is nearly at end and the game is almost finished. I am not going to rush and buy the game too much in advance but I am going to examine the upcoming beta test very accurately and perhaps make some decisions after that.

I realize that having the knowledge system account wide circumvents some of the ideas that it will be harder when your character is the opposite alignment when traveling opposed lands. With that said SWTOR had a legacy system similar where you obtained achievements that worked account wide. There is really is no advantage to any one character obtaining all the knowledge of every character it just saves time from having to redo the many things you already did on one character to get those knowledge bonuses.

This could actually work in some cases. Meaning eveything should not be account wide, but something really could, just to avoid pure grind.
Wild Terra looks kind of crabby when compared to Fractured imo.
