Inspirations for Fractured?
With the gameplay video, I noticed that there are 8 hotbar slots, and it got me thinking about Guild Wars 1 which also had 8 hotbar slots. Then I realized that the skill systems for both games pretty similar (limited hot bar slots with a great variety of skills you can put in them, and the ability to easily switch them out with other skills you know during down time). Besides the obvious Ultima Online influence, what are other sources of inspiration for Fractured's design?

RE: First Fractured Gameplay Video Released!
Wow, it looks good so far. I really like that there are already a variety of mobility skills. This has me pretty hopeful.
Small nitpick on the video title. It says "Hike & Slash". I think it's supposed to be "Hack & Slash"
Edit: Or maybe it's supposed to be hike to emphasize the exploring? -
RE: What was/is your favorite ARPG and why?
Titan Quest. It's had the most charm of any ARPG I've played and the way enemies died was really satisfying. Grim Dawn was alright but it was missing the charm that Titan Quest had. I played the crap out of Diablo 2 but got burned by the state of Diablo 3 on release and never looked back. PoE I really want to like but just can't get into.

RE: Jobs
Bounty hunter/assassin/body guard/arena gladiator. I just want to fight people.

RE: Suggestion about hunger/thirst
@jetah Presumably they would substitute water with another resource or more food or some other system. Vampires for example, might be able to sustain themselves by drinking blood or feeding on humans and beasts. Maybe nightmares have to eat and rest much more during the day but have nearly limitless stamina(or whatever) at night. Infernals might require significantly more food but be able to eat nearly anything as long as it's scorched.
It would be strange for them to have this mechanic that's supposed to add challenge to travel/exploration and then only implement it for humans.

RE: Suggestion about hunger/thirst
@severinus said in Suggestion about hunger/thirst:
Regarding climate zones, it would be interesting to add 'natural damage' by cold or heat, requiring to dress also accordingly in addition to keeping enough water with you, if you wish to cross a desert and get warmly dressed in the tundra to not freeze to death
A hunger/thirst system and what you described here are already confirmed.
@jetah Demons of Fractured don't seem to supernatural beings. Just another sentient species of creatures like beastmen.
