There are no factions. As far as I know, anyone is free to trade with anyone else.

Dunno what you mean for "shortcuts"
He's asking if other races can go to Tartaros and take advantage of the demons' travel mechanics. It's an interesting question, but we don't know enough about interplanetary travel to answer it yet. If I had to guess, the demons' easier ability to travel is tied to being a follower of Babilis; probably only demons, abominations, and maybe evil humans will have that ability.

RE: God's Influence?
We don't know much, but it was mentioned that being a follower of Tyros on Tartaros will alert demons to your presence after a time. Other gods might have similarly significant effects.

RE: weapon and item restrictions
@belwolff From what we know, there's nothing to restrict you from using anything, though you'll be more or less effective with different gear depending on your stats.
There won't be endgame armor. There's no gear treadmill. Whatever armor you start with should be competitive with anyone else's armor.

RE: Fractured Sprint 13/15 Recap (Feb 05, 2018)
@alecrocks said in Fractured Sprint 13/15 Recap (Feb 05, 2018):
With the new computer hardware evolving as the development of Fractured takes places, the creation/upgrading of graphic rendering and stuff like that, will the game rely only in exclusive mechanics/lore/rules to compete with more visually attractive (ex. More hardware intensive) games on the market?
You don't necessarily need high hardware requirements for an aesthetically attractive game. Guild Wars 1 is 13 years old but has its moments where it still looks great. Examples: 1 2 3 4 5 6

RE: Resting and talents
We don't know if Fractured will have templates, but with Guild Wars 1 being an inspiration for the skill system there's a chance we might get them.

RE: VIP system : What do you think ?

warframe isn't p2w even if it looks like.
Warframe is technically p2w. Buy buttloads of platinum and trade it for top tier mods/rivens/arcanes and bypass nearly every single time gate. But the thing with Warframe is that "winning" doesn't mean anything. What makes Warframe fun is its gameplay; grinding through missions is the game. Buying your way through everything is like cheating in a single player game; it's fun for 10 mins but you've ruined the experience for yourself.
Warframe is actually better when you're not paying for everything, which is why I asked in the pledge thread if there will be a way to turn off VIP boosts; I want the full Fractured experience, "grind" and all.

RE: Money & Kickstarter
Equipment and inventory will be lootable on death but we don't know if currency will, though I think there's a high chance it will.
Kickstarter will start in June and only last thirty days. Pre-alpha will be at the end of the year. You're not going be able to play the game before or during kickstarter, but by the sounds of it, they'll still be selling crowdfunding packages after kickstarter so you might be able to buy one after pre-alpha.

RE: VIP system : What do you think ?
@gofrit Memory and learning slots are different things. And gaining knowledge has nothing to do with stats.

GW2, the only other exception of a successful cosmetic cash shop, is buy2play and it was sub2play.
GW2 never had a subscription, not even an optional one. It was b2p and now it's f2p with b2p expansions.
Warframe is another example of free to play done right, but it doesn't just sell cosmetics (and doesn't necessarily sell straight power), but it's an unusually structured pure coop game and is probably the only game that will work with its model.
One of the things Warframe and PoE have in common is that they have they have limited time premium packs. Warframe's packs have prime gear, exclusive cosmetics, boosters, and premium currency. PoE's packs have exclusive cosmetics, forum titles, merch, and premium currency. These packs are a huge part of their business models. DS might be able to incorporate a similar system.

RE: Kickstarter Update - Pledge Packs
I'll probably pick up Patron. I'd prefer prices in USD but it's not a big deal. Foundation and kickstarter rewards should remain independent, but I like @ooBENONIoo's idea of a small foundation quest for any pledge.
The only thing I'm slightly worried about is VIP. What are learning slots? How big is the increase in knowledge point gains? Is there a way to turn off those 2 things if I'm a VIP? I believe a well designed game shouldn't really need boosters; adding boosters acknowledges there are parts of the game that are worth skipping over. More predatory business practices exploit this by having an intolerably low base rate of progression, and boosters are the "normal" rate.
