RE: Will there be ships? and Sea Action
There are no instanced zones except for maybe dungeons. IIRC from the Q&A, oceans/sailing would be too much work to fit into their release schedule. If they ever do add them, it would be after launch.

Why would I want to go to an asteroid, and why would guilds fight over them?
-
How often will asteroids occur and how long will they last?
-
What kind of life, if any, will be on asteroids? Do they have different biomes than the three planets?

How are house blueprints acquired and are they tradeable?

Is there anything to differentiate metropolises and villages besides population/activity? (for example, special buildings or technological upgrades)

Would it be possible for a small guild to build up to and maintain a metropolis by themselves just from prestige generating activity or is there a minimum population requirement for a metropolis?

RE: Class Information?
Fractured uses a classless system. There's a pool of 400 skills, you choose which ones you want on your skill bar (up to 8). Anyone can use any skill, but your proficiency with skills is determined by your stats and talents.

RE: Life and Death
@drekkennought There are no better equipped players. There's no gear progression.

RE: Life and Death
@codetsilon You have two health bars, endurance and health. Most attacks will do endurance damage and when you get to 0 endurance, your character becomes unconscious. Any further damage will damage health and you will die if health reaches 0. You will eventually wake up from the unconscious state if you're not killed.
When you're unconscious, your inventory can be looted but not your equipped items. When you're dead, everything can be taken.
Respawning hasn't been talked about much, but it has been mentioned that you can respawn in a nearby town.

RE: Proxy's "Basic Overview" of Fractured
Yeah, that sub is a pretty cynical place. If you're self promoting or they feel like you're shilling for a game, it can get brutal. I get slightly worried when I see a Fractured post there because it gives people an opportunity to soap box about how awful kickstarter is and freak out about premium currency and VIP. I've been in a lot of those threads informing and correcting misconceptions to combat the cynicism.

RE: Why is the Kickstarter (almost) failing.
@kairosval said in Why is the Kickstarter (almost) failing.:
Even so, I was (and still am) really surprised at the lack of response from the community. Given how active the community is here, I had assumed that this would translate through to much higher level of interest in the Kickstarter.
The daily post thread gets about 100 posts a day which is where most of the community is going to be posting. Outside of that, there are at most 50 other people getting their daily posts in from actual discussions. Where are you getting the impression that there are thousands of active people that aren't backing kickstarter?

RE: KS 72% someone bought the highest peaks
@tulukaruk said in KS 72% someone bought the highest peaks:
i'm pretty sure there was info that lifetime VIP is for bakers only
That's just an assumption people keep spreading around. It was stated as "crowdfunding only" not "kickstarter only".

Will some of the non cosmetic features be added post release if their goals aren't met?

RE: Going Worldwide - Regional Servers & Localization
This is great news. Since this game is aiming for more actiony combat than other sandboxes, I was worried about dealing with lag or laggy players.

RE: Strength of Player Factions?

Care to share what game design prevents large guilds from constantly dominating?
Because the guild member cap is limited by how much territory a guild owns, a guild can only grow as large as it can effectively defend its territory. And because of travel limitations, holding territory will likely become increasingly difficult the more of it a guild has.
Probably not a complete solution, but they already seem to be considering the problem.

How are crafting recipes and blueprints acquired?

Will there be a difference between experienced crafters and new crafters? (i.e. will there be a reason to specialize in crafting?)

How does claiming land work? Is there a plot system?

RE: Carpenter Cost...
I'm assuming building will require resources to maintain (most likely the same resources used to build). I'm hoping carpenters don't just automatically generate the resources; they should have to pull those resources from your storage. Carpenters should just be used to save you from having to perform the manual labor of upkeep (making them mostly useful when you plan to be away from your home for a long time or are going to take a break from the game).
