meanwhile demons will not be able to even get into safe zone to get knowledge there, unless they go angel first, then play as good, then they go bad again, but this would take ages and not many will bother with this)

It was said in a Q&A that transformations and the alignment shifts that go with them are permanent. So no angels doing evil things to transform back. It was also said that any skill tasks in safe zones will will be attainable outside (likely with asteroids), so you might not be able to get all exploration knowledge but you can still max all skills.

And someone pays for mercenaries to invade that city, taking it from you. You’ve now paid to lose.

Are you trying to prove my point for me? The person that paid the mercenaries paid to win. I don't think it's healthy for the game when conflict is decided by whoever is willing to throw money around.

@jetah said in About the VIP membership:

There are two major types of players. Those with time and no money, those with money and no time. When these two meet up and trade gold/items whatever for tokens/VIP/PLEX/etc it's a wonderful income for the developers.
Remember that there is full loot!

Currency can be exchanged for both goods and services. How do you lose a service that you paid for? If I'm running for governor in a close race and drop a grand to bribe votes, I will have literally paid to win. You might argue that these sorts of transactions can occur outside the game, but it would be far less frequent and be punishable if caught.

I really don't want to see irl wealth translate to in game wealth. If you don't have time to play the game, and it matters to you that much, take the money you'd be spending and pay someone to play your account for you.

    • RE: [Poll] PvP or PvE, now with more precise scale!

@warpuppy You need to go to Tartaros if you want to max certain skills. If you're a completionist or just need to max out a specific skill for a build, PvP is not really avoidable.

I suggest you read the Feature Spotlights in the news section.

IMO the news section needs tags or some way to highlight the spotlights. They contain valuable information and most of them are starting to get buried pretty deep.

Equipment is horizontal too. There's no gear treadmill or progression, just different tradeoffs between all the options.

    • RE: Mouse / Keyboard control

@gothix said in Mouse / Keyboard control:

It is possible because you can mouse click on some spot away from you and while your character is auto moving to that spot you can cast stuff clicking on players in other directions.

I don't think I've seen a game where that was a major part of the game's combat. It sounds pretty awkward and like it requires Korean levels of micro at the high skill end (which may or may not be a bad thing).

Here's an example of fixed camera WASD movement. To me it looks just as functional as click-to-move with the added benefit of being able to strafe and backpedal while attacking.

In my opinion, a game can't really have both types of movement because combat plays out differently for each type. WASD movement caters to more actiony combat where dodging is essential and something you're always doing, and click-to-move combat is generally more about trading direct hits with minimized dodging. IIRC Prometheus has said something like 90% of skills will be skillshots which makes it sound like Fractured could really benefit from WASD controls, but I also acknowledge that designing a game around WASD movement is much more difficult and may not be something the devs want to put development resources into.

    • RE: reimbursement of clan / ally events equipment

@gofrit said in reimbursement of clan / ally events equipment:

      Reimbursement... huh
Guys you know the stuff is planned to have "no full impact" on battle, probably just a very very little push to some skills, no epic weapon, no legend armor... just some stuff with some enchant.
If you go in battle with you're inventory full you could lose something for sure (if the player kill you and not knock you)
So how to estimate a loss on which matter ?

The devs have never said gear has "no full impact" or even implied that gear has little impact. The only thing they've said is that there is no gear progression. Please stop spreading misinformation.

Gear will have value, and organized guilds will need to keep their members geared up. An ingame way for guilds to keep track of armor that needs replacing would be helpful for resource management.

      @dcccxix said in Economy essentials:

IMO everything instances (if you mean instanced arena tournaments), has no place in such games. And yeah, gathering alot of resources should be not solo friendly, but there should be the way for players to be financially independent solo.

I didn't mean instanced arenas (arenas were confirmed in an Q&A, no idea if they're instanced or not). I used 1v1 tournaments as an example of a system that could be put in place that would be something that solo players could partake in that could potentially be lucrative. Other systems that solo players can use to make money: farming, enchanting, and crafting (leatherworking, metalworking, carpentry, tanning, tailoring, bowyery, cooking, alchemy, pottery, jewelcrafting).

    • RE: Suggestion - herb gardens and a spice trade

I believe one of the reasons devs usually spread these things around the world instead of allowing the farming of them is to promote exploration, and I feel like that element should still be present in Fractured in some way. Maybe finding wild herbs and spices should be the primary way to harvest seeds? Then that harvester can use those seeds in their own garden or sell them. For example: harvesting farmed herbs have a 20% chance to yield a seed, but wild herbs will have on average 5 seeds. This opens up a possibility of a seed market that relies on exploration.
