    • RE: Patch Log - b.1.0 - New Legends, Quick Rest & More

By the way, in case people were wandering about the details of this point:

      • Change: the damage of the Scimitar, Rapier and Handaxe have been slightly tweaked. The Armor Penetration on the Rapier has been doubled.

      It is as follows:

      • Hand Axe multiplier from 4.50 to 4.80
      • Rapier multiplier from 4.50 to 4.80
      • Scimitar multiplier from 6.30 to 6.00

Changes to block and bloodlust, combined with the previous changes to freeze are already increasing the challenge. But I agree that the next logic step is giving a bit of love to CR 7-9.

    • RE: SERVERS

At the moment the only servers are US.
We don't know if there are plans to have more.
The previous publisher had foreseen a US one, an EU one and considered a SEA one if there was enough demand for it.

If you join the discord you may catch a key valid for the rest of this test (lasts until 22th). Sometimes there are giveaways there.

No one said you can't reach them.
Simply they cannot be reached with imbues.

Even if you are left alone in a party, you are still considered in one. You have to disband it.

    • RE: Greeting from an old-timer PROVOCATION

The devs so far have expressed no such intentions.
It was the previous publisher which had blocked out that region.

When was the last time you played?

Currently we have the exact opposite problem, the equipment is getting trashed so fast that people make only the bare essential cause it is not worth the effort.

You may want to put a guild recruitment post on the discord dedicated section.

    • RE: Greetings from a newbie

      Hello!
If I were to describe it in a few points I would say:

      • Follows after the line of Ultima like games, but it doesn't try to copy it like Legends of Aria.
      • Tries to bring a MOBA/Diablo fighting system into the mix
      • Keeps the concept of fully player driven economy. No equipment is dropped in this game, everything is crafted.
      • Aims at giving maximum flexibility in builds. There are no classes, and you can respec skills and talents as many times as you want freely. Many challenges of the game are meant to be answered with creative solutions by combining the hundreds of the skills of the game.
      • Splits the play area in 3 worlds. One without pvp. One with regulated pvp. One with unrestricted pvp (unfortunately not yet ready). Players can move and trade between these 3 worlds, which also have their unique resources.
      • Has a very horizontal approach to progression. The characters start very strong already, they just need to discover skills. You can participate in end game activites right after gettting out of the young player status, which requires between a few hours and one week depending on how much you play and how experienced you are. Yet the char progression goes a lot longer than that and a completionist or a min maxer can get an edge on the opponents if he wants to put the time in it.

    • RE: Greeting from an old-timer PROVOCATION

I have a bit of issues following your posts.

In any case don't worry that the game wasn't tiered toward casuals. PKs are still out and abound. They simply don't have free reign any more, being a PK has consequences now, which has always been the design of the world of Syndesia. Having Pks on that world is allowed but not as the norm, they have to feel the consequences of choosing that route. If you want to slaughter at will without consequences you play on Tartaros, that's a more Rust like experience.

As for trading, it is a hotly debated topic at the moment. Devs are making some final adjustments to crafting and durability to make sure that the economy is healthy.

You keep using the term PC, but I'm not sure what you mean with that.

    • RE: Greeting from an old-timer PROVOCATION

@33Hp Facts say otherwise. There's been plenty of PKs under these rules. And they find it VERY convenient to be one.

In fact these rules had to be introduced, because there were simply too many. And they did it under human rules with human limitations for being PK, not even with demons.

That video you linked is from a long long time ago.

Today the pvp looks like this, there's plenty of color and action.

    • RE: Greeting from an old-timer PROVOCATION

If you had follown the development, you would know why.
It was made so that there was more pvp.

Looting equipment is useless for the killer, since it is damaged and so cannot be sold. The real reward for a PK is the inventory of a character. Gold, rare reagents, divine rewards, and maybe their cart. That's why a pk roams around. Surely not to loot a yellow durability tier 1 armor which he will not even pick up from the body.

At the same time though losing the equip sucks a lot for the victim. So people were not engaging in pvp for the fear of losing it.

This was the best compromise. PKs get their reward, but the damage on the victim isn't uselessly big.
Except if you have bad karma, in which case you also lose equip.

Tartaros clearly will keep the full loot rules when it is out.
