Thanks for the reply. I view it as a stray from current MMOs but a throw back to some old school ideas. It gives me UO vibes, with extra cool features I always wanted there but they just didn’t have. Looking forward to what the continue to make.

@asspirin many people would and will spend to buy multiple accounts, as well as multiple machines. Especially when skills are limited and they can use other characters to put at risk, that helps maintain the safety of the main. It’s why figuring out the stance on such things is important.

Outside of the dev team providing updates from discord, to the forums is there something we can do as a community to assist our fellow community members? I’m on discord often. What information was missed that we could of posted for the forum only people?

Indeed it could be items as well, hence the use of "or barter items". AKA in place of coin it could be items, although to really show government most rely on some level of fiscal coin operation. We just don't know if there's mints in the game, or how it's going to be handled, however percentage taxes and thus usually amounts are far easier to handle in coinage. Barter tax has it's own headaches, although could push to allow time for organizations to take payments as they ship from one place to the next. Lots of options for the dev team, really.

Market deployment as well as ways to keep things accessible to newer players will be important for the longevity of the game. Coin sinks are important, but finding the balance is needed.

We know there's some sort of coin, or barter item exists because Governors of towns set a tax rate as described in Towns, Governors & Politics (one of the previous spotlights)
