I haven't seen any official announcement anywhere so I figured I'd put something here for those who want to know. According to both the Fractured Store and this thread A2T3 will be starting Thursday, July 16th at 10am Eastern Daylight Time (EDT). Apologies if this was already mentioned somewhere but I was unable to find anything in a quick search of the forums

@Jetah This is not about sandbox having rules. Yeah some rules are in TOS like account related stuff, behaviour in general, cheating, advertising, and stuff like that. TOS is not a place to say players that "do not play on every planet with your guild members, even we allow you to do that". WTF? That makes zero sense. If any developer would do a stupid thing like that, I would LMAO and leave. If developers do not want players to cross-realm then they will do in game restrictions to prevent that kind of behaviour. However, I believe that devs will not do that because they do not want to. I bet they want players to have that oppurtunity to play how they want in as many planets they like and they do not want to make any restrictions there.

I would be glad to both build this city, live in it, and defend it with all that I am capable of! This will be targeted for sure as the intention of the city is to be a hub for all players, but we could find ourselves good alliances and protect the city with the power of all its citizens (plus the eventual mercenary guild to protect us)

I can understand the footprint limit. That was one of UO's mistakes allowing castles. The lag loading in those when you walked by on dial up would drop your connection lol. I used housing for storage. Thing was the bigger the house the more storage you got. I did see alot of people going all out on decorating. If you could get them to load in they were cool.

The origin of the conflict between magic and heavy armor is that magic is fundamentally broken in most implementations - it's grossly overpowered. If it wasn't, then it wouldn't be an issue to let characters use it in heavy armor, just like it isn't an issue to let them use powerful melee weapons in heavy armor because heavy melee weapons don't have instant kill spells, unlock doors, teleport, etc.

This sounds like a great idea so long as it is possible for players to avoid being murdered with no chance to defend. Like what @Jetah said about guards, if you can know that you're taking a risk going outside the view of the patrols, then it's acceptable to have the possibility of getting suddenly murdered for your recklessness. It otherwise doesn't seem fair or wise to make town so dangerous that no one wants to go there because they might be killed instantly through no fault of their own.
