Specter is our volunteer moderator/admin, and he's amazingly quick at replying to questions most of the time. Nekrage is a content creator who games professionally so he'll know all the interfaces.

One possibility I saw that might interest you: there are usually open land parcels near mines and near 'fertile grounds' outside of city limits. Either would enable a prosperous hermit life!
For a more social opportunity to be away from the crowd, I was very grateful for the folks who built on land parcels close to major combat areas and then left their fireplaces 'public' for folks to recharge. It might be worth an experiment to find out whether a 'give a little take a little' public chest in such a home might work, or whether more Myrians would be greedy than cooperative...?

The initial download and install can take some time, depending on your system's speed.
My old potato 
took awhile.
If you have an old potato, maybe get it started and go make yourself a cup of coffee. Once the game is installed, you're ready to receive the patch update for the test. Last few tests, they opened up the character build/settings area, and let people/guilds claim cities, before the alpha proper started. That helped a lot!
If this is the first test you're playing, your patch will be way bigger than that of folks who participated previously. It may mean making another cup of coffee.

I am friends by trying to be attentive and affirming of peoples' feelings and needs, and responding to them empathetically. It's hard during lockdown, but friends understand. 
A lot is changing in this build. Even ppl who have done all the tests will be on a learning curve.
I'm hoping that before the next alpha commences, there will be another vid (or two) from @Prometheus about the changes to the farming/crafting/smelting systems that have only been hinted at so far. But the main focus of this test is going to be around the pretty much total re-working of city systems and the siege warfare system.

I know I'm not the only one would prefers to wait for y'all to get things the way you want them before you roll out new content. Waiting is hard, but buggy gameplay is worse. Take your time and PLEASE take good care of yourself

Hey @Alexian! @Kralith and some others are looking to work cooperatively w us, if you wanna talk about that w them... The vids I've seen suggest that cooperation may be in our best interest, but I have no idea what that might look like or with whom it would be most beneficial.
