I did a quick search on gunbai, and it doesn't look like those can be folded...

The idea of a fan made of blades used as a weapon, and esp useful for pc's with high agility/charisma stats makes my Arya-heart flutter with 'Sting'ing joy. "Slice them with the sharp side" I can hear her say as she and Sansa train together....

Hi guys - per wiki and store, any pet in this game is "cosmetic only and doesn't engage in battle"
I love my rl pets, but am glad to know that I don't need to feed or walk anything in-game
Also glad I don't need to watch out for a tamer pc with a gang of evolved dragons.

The furniture looks excellent! I would totally love a little cabin like this for myself. Which raised a question in my mind, 'do Beastlings even need houses? If I'm a wolfling, tigerperson, or bearling, wouldn't I have a den? Would I want to sleep on a bed And if I were Hart-kin, would I even have a den? My experience of wild ungulates is that they like to find a nice secluded bower or grotto-type place to relax.

Oh thank you thank you!! I always love those parts of rpg cities where I can play game-withins for minor loot, esp if it's a pvp situation where gamers can compete w/o bloodshed (e.g. blackjack at the Inn!, wheel of fortune for skins & spell mats!)

Totally agree that a night spent at a nice place in town would net better rest than sleeping on the ground, but there's a reason people like camping out under the stars... a cheap place might not be great rest at all if there are 2 other ppl (PC or NPC) in your room (or bed)... & chances that the RNG hands you a dose of vermin go up as the price goes down, right?

Hi @Gonky! Not exactly sure what you mean by 'reserve a name' but once you Plonky down your subscription at any level you can create a character that has a name. It's not the game PC, but unless the name you want to reserve is uncreative in the extreme & predictably high-demand (e.g., TigerNutz, LapDancer, LeroyJ... ) I can't see it being a problem.

Start at the lowest level if you want to limit your investment. You can always bump it up. Come on in, the water's fine!

@Alexian & @LilCassiopeia - WOW! So funny to have zero time ingame and already clients at the door. Really looking forward to getting to know my neighborhood mobs once the beta is open lol

@LilCassiopeia - could be that the Beastling Pack should set up a base in Duath? We aren't a large company (yet) but we will be learning the ways of Arborea as quickly as possible, in order to defend needful commercial ventures and peaceable sightseers.

Cool question. My current plan is to set up my guild to be guides/guards for merchants or other travelers wishing to traverse Arborea safely for a small cut of the wares. I'm guessing the best way to do that will be to find a space within a town that's buzzing with off-worlders. Not sure where that's going to be yet tho. Early days....

Hi @veratox213 ! You certainly can play this game as a merchant OR a fighter OR a crafter OR whatever you wanna do!
I'm setting my alliance to help merchants traverse Arborea safely with their wares, so keep me in mind once things get up and running!

My reason for being excited about Fractured is that players can hold their own just by playing smart, and not be swamped by whales with big buck$ to drop - been stuck in freemium land long enough. To pay up front and get the whole thing feels amazingly fresh lol

As game visions have evolved in this forum, so has the vision for the Beastling Pack.

It's looking like offering a Guard/Guide service for off-world visitors to Arborea might become a lucrative and enjoyable way for folks most interested in PvE to spend their time in-game. The Beastling Pack will be there to help - mainly Syndesians, but certainly some carefully-vetted Demons or home-body Arboreans.

We'll be the ones who know the fastest and easiest routes. We'll know the mobs and monsters by their nicknames. We'll see the world instead of doing a lot of home decorating. We'll know the best pubs in every city, and which governors/merchants give the best deals.

It seems pretty early to be discussing this... so much will depend on what transpires in the next Alpha(s?).

Given the complexity of what the devs are hoping to pull off, it might be necessary to do more limited -length/-feature Alphas than are currently planned, in order to fine tune foundational code and prevent the beta from displaying embarrassing glitches.

But every one of those tests, in turn, ought to generate video/PR buzz that builds investment. Some of that is our job, right?

At that point, beta planning can be tailored to the available $$ for staffing support and servers. The first beta might run 24/7 for 2 days... or weekend mornings for six months! Whatever it takes to get the best result using the resources available is what I want to see.

It's thrilling to be in on the ground floor of something so YUGE and creative! No doubt tempting to get ahead of ourselves in our visioning and hopes, but for now my m.o. is going to be to stay constructively engaged with the ideas and not fret about timeline.

Sounds like the Beastling Pack will want to have a shop set up there to connect off-world folk looking to travel to Arborea with our 'Happy Trails Crew'
