Fun video! Thanks for posting about this sweet little 2d. If my potato can't keep up with the demands of Fractured, I might end up checking this out

RE: Light role play beastmen guild.
Heya @WhoAteTheCat! Well-met, m8! Great minds think alike and so do ours.
My Beastling Pack guild is planned as a bunch of PvE heroes who help folks from off-world (esp traders or crafters seeking special materials) move about Arboreus safely. We're going to be based in the south port city of Duath for this test. You are SO welcome to join us!
@humerus - it is a true fact that anyone coming to Arboreus to kill people will definitely not be seeking help from Arboreans. My hope (and I'm guessing, Cat's as well) is that Arboreans and Syndesians who choose the crafting or merchant life, or who are basically solo players that can't kill everything on Arboreus solo, might appreciate a group to travel with.
My group will be working with @LilCassiopeia during this test, in the southern port city of Duath. First we'll help the Meridian guildlings build the city, as a base of operations. Then, as time goes on, my hope is that the Beastling Pack will be able to earn our daily bread by adventuring forth as protectors of the traveling tradesfolk. I could be way wrong, f or sure. But that's my plan for now

RE: What are you looking forward to/hoping to see in A2T3?
Good question @Recoil! In a sandbox, there will be lots of ways to have fun, even with the game far from complete.
I'm personally committed to helping @LilCassiopeia build the city of Duath, and helping the devs find and fix whatever bugs might arise in the city system, for at least a week or so. I'm guessing that there will be opportunities in there for some hunting and skill-development, but I'm planning to stay focused on building that base of operations.
Then I hope to do some real exploring and try to craft/enchant myself a sweet set of gear.
I'm not a great fighter, tbh, but once I'm equipped I'm going to try to offer my help to travelers to and from Duath who are looking for a party to go take down some big critters.
I think that's probably enough goals for one test
esp these days, when a person really never knows what they're gonna wake up to, news-wise.

RE: Arborian or Arborean?
Good question @Turgon
@Meiki gets the prize for best etymological & grammatical breakdown! As a player who hopes to reside & thrive in the beauty of Arboreus, I also need to point out that, IRL, residents of real places often choose unexpected denonyms for themselves for fascinating historical reasons... what's etymologically and grammatically correct might end up being swamped by in-game usage we can't predict, and (this being a sandbox) that's part of the fun, right?
As a prospective denizen, I also want to (once again) make my pitch for a more gender-neutral base descriptor, either Beastfolk or Beastling. The English language often forces people to choose gender-binary pronouns, but we're creating a space from the ground up and can avoid that if we wanna. I wanna, don't you? If not, why not?

RE: Character Attributed and what they mean
Quick and useful! Lots of typos tho - lemme know if you need a proof-reader, hun. I catch typos without even looking for them.

RE: Knowledge Book for Alpha 2.1 ( will update)
Really helpful short primer/how-to on the knowledge system. The tutorials in-game don't actually spell anything out, so giving new players a way to eliminate the trial&error part is truly kind. Thanks @Oxfurd!

RE: All of the AMAs done to date -
Thanks so much! Really helpful to have these to refer to. Now to try to find some time to watch them before the test

RE: Solo mage - tips how to PVE in a world of Fractured MMO
@lyburnum - It's true that there's no narrator, but what there is to explain what's going on here (for folks familiar with this platform) is the hotkey spell deployment below the action - which, by the way, is a universal language
The spells used aren't high-level, but this mage definitely has some enchanted gear. Thanks @Laveilath, for all these clues. I'd missed the original post and with the upcoming test, they're freshly relevant.

RE: Fractured Gameplay - "From Naked Hunter to Beast Master"
THANK YOU! this is great stuff for introducing the game to folks who might be interested. Hope it's ok to repost on a fb forum for GOTA refugees?

RE: Video: "Epic" PVP Battle
That IS epic! Funny to watch the mages standing around tho. Was this an arranged duel, or what precipitated the encounter? Is it ok to share this w prospectives on a fb page dedicated to GOTA refugees?

RE: Lore Locations and a Map (on world anvil) by Dordolio
@LilCassiopeia and the Meridian folks will want to check into this...
Thanks for taking the time to make this map @Dordolio! -
RE: Came from albion gaming
Hi @RedStalker & welcome to Fractured Forums! I'm hoping that the experience in this game and forum will be very different from the avg f2p/p2w game. From folks here, I've learned that Fractured and Albion share some basic mechanics, so your time there should be helpful, but I'm hoping this game will avoid the p2w stuff I've been hearing about in Albion.

RE: Nekrage's Community Award Program!
@Dordolio said in Nekrage's Community Award Program!:

RE: Nekrage's Community Award Program!
hmmmm....
this @Nekrage person runs a guild dedicated to EVILand yet...
their recruiting thread is full of the GOOD & HELPFUL deeds done by their guild in other games and...
now they have a generous prize for CONTRIBUTIONS made to the game???methinks their alignment is in jeopardy!!

RE: Where is the Feature Spotlight dedicated to Technology?
Once again, KUDOS to @Greenfire for asking a great question!
I had missed that part of the Spotlight altogether, so haven't been really thinking that far ahead.
I'm hopeful that the original vision of @Prometheus & the devs will reveal itself more and more concretely as new 'blocks' of game code are put in place. Now that you've raised this, I'm really psyched to see what the Syndesian cities will look like once more features have been created.
I agree that it would be non-constructive to put technology to one side for an 'end-game' feature. People who want to play humans will do so because of the features of the human world/build.
But even if the devs don't have the steampunk tech stuff working for THIS test, it's fun to imagine where they might take it as the development continues! And really happy about a community of players who ask constructive questions and point out potential problems!!
