SO thrilled to get into the game. Thanks to who fixed that 'loading world' issue.
On to the next fun challenge...

The game wouldn't let me cast in my original gear. I got an error msg that sd I had to have 'light armor' to use my mage spells, but original gear on my mage toon said it was light armor. <shrug>

Decided to go ahead and craft scholar's gear and hope that would help. No joy (see screenshot). Spells memorized are greyed out as unusable, just as in the original gear. Tried logging out and then back in... No joy. That's all my troubleshooting for now.

So I'll try again tomorrow with my fighter built toon. Skin a different cat.

Didn't see any similar issues when I searched the forum, so thought I'd leave this here just in case.

seems more realistic to me <shrug> If I've left something behind, anyone's welcome to it as far as I'm concerned.

Good to hear that this isn't (in all probability) a matter of hardware. If people can play with a 'toaster' I should be fine with my 'potato', right?

@Specter / @Prometheus - My m.o. so far is, try to log in 2 or 3 times/day, at intervals. Wait at least 15 minutes before using task manager to end 'Loading World' task. Hope, each time, that a patch will have fixed my problem so I can get started.

Glad this is a long test. I'll keep bumping this every couple of days until success is achieved.

@Bernu - my grok of the game is that the devs have specifically sd you don't need a high end box to play. I just don't know where the boundary is. TY for giving spex for devs trying to fix this issue.

I tried to get in 4 separate times yesterday and had the same issue.... tried again just now and same.

Last test, the world often took some time to load so I'm giving it at least 15 minutes per attempt, at different times of day in case its a load issue. Last test, I sometimes had to load two or three times - I'd see toon in game like Bernu and then it would drop back to the character creation page. This test I haven't gotten even that far yet.

I'll keep trying & keep posting and hoping. Bernu & grofire, what kind of box/GPU are you using? I'm on a Lenovo ACPIx64-based PC running W10 with an Intel HD4600 graphics card.

@Greenfire - get a few more out there with you and it'll look like any urban public library at night.
I speak as someone who works at an urban public library AND advocates relentlessly for actually affordable housing.

I have gotten stuck on 'Loading World' several times today. I let it run for up to 30 min before using task manager to end process. Disappointing, but I'll try again tomorrow.

I want to thank the devs for all the hard work they've put in getting this ready. I know (from kitchens and from theater) how hard it is when an artist works hard on something they want to present to a big group of people and then it doesn't go as planned.

The transparency and hard work of @Prometheus & his team are well known. Hoping testers will stay constructive w their feedback.

Heya gang! I'm quite new to the whole MMORPG thing, so my toons for these tests are just one each of the default mage & fighter bc messing with them feels unpredictably frightening for me

If you are what I've seen called a 'min-maxer' or you've done something creative with your build and want to talk about how that played out IN GAME during the upcoming test, I'd be all ears and you'd be really helping me learn for the next time. Thanks in advance y'all!

From a demonic perspective, both chickens and humans are tasty, hairless, and bipedal... so it might be anthropocentric to consider us to be so very different from one another

Gotta say, I'm awed to the point of intimidation by the complexity of what y'all are putting together here. I just know my first couple of toons are going to be built all wrong.

Maybe @Oxfurd can do for the talent tree what he's already done about attributes? Or someone who's wiki'ing can put together a spreadsheet of some sort? I remember how helpful the enchanting spreadsheet was when we were all first introduced to buffing our gear.
