@Hawkshield - we're in early days, hermano. So far, they've just done Myr and the human race. Once all those basic mechanics are where they need to be, the other planets and races will be added.
I'm using these tests as a way to make all the PC building blunders I don't want to make with my 'real' toon once the launch happens. 
The skills tree is a new mechanic for me, and I've already made some dumb mistakes. Luckily, those toons wipe when the test ends.
BOOM! Once again showing how to earn those weekly points. Thanks @Nekrage! You're the nicest demon I know.

Oho! Maybe you're one of my peeps, then! I don't plan to start up my Beastfolk guild until the actual launch, but my concept is to run a group of guides/caravan protectors on Arboreus, to help merchants and tourists get from place to place without trouble. Let's stay in touch!
Meanwhile, allow me to recommend the Meridian folk. Great organization and perks for members so far in the alpha tests. Once launched, my guild will probably be in cahoots w them.
@Hawkshield - yeppers, @Nekrage is solid brick. Fun too. If your play-style is demonic pvp, his guild will be right up your street.

If your package includes alpha access, you'll see a link on the main Fractured website 'PLAY' tab as soon as things go live. Last time, the devs let folks into the character-creation page & city claiming a little early so they could have themselves ready to rock.
I'll bet they do that again, so watch forums for an announcement - @Prometheus @Specter & @Oxfurd are good accounts to 'follow' to make sure you don't miss that.

@PeachMcD I'm not a creepy stalker or anything, but I've seen you post about your guild before and didn't see you on the roster. Did I miss it, or do you have to have a pledge pack to actually get in a guild?

I was with them during the last alpha and hoping (if I'm lucky enough to win a key) to work with them again. I've been haning out w them on their Guilded forum btw alphas and they're nice folks.
I'm not an active recruiter, but when new players ask what will help them in the game, I know being part of ANY guild has major perks attached and I tell them so - then I mention that I like the guild I'm in, because I do.
I really appreciated the way @Prometheus is breaking the new stuff down into 3 chunks so the vids are more likely to actually get watched when I share them.
SO STOKED about getting a steed! Now I just need to win me an alpha key. Popping for the package isn't an option right now - I'm among the 20+ employees at my place of work whose jobs are on the chopping block. (There's hope, I just can't spend money on a game rn)
@Talzus - YES!! I love playing Fractured, even in its incompleteness. The world is immersive and challenging for me, the enchanting system is fun for me, and the people I'm meeting in-game have been truly helpful.
I do recommend hooking up with a guild before the alpha test starts. I can recommend mine, Meridian, without reservation but I know there are lots of fun folks in other guilds too - there are differences in play styles that you'll want to take into account.
I'm not a podcast grrrl, but I know others who love them. Every which way the word gets out is great imo. Thanks @Oxfurd !
Another try at winning a key for this upcoming alpha with steeds and wagons and harbors! Want to say I appreciate the way @Prometheus decided to have 3 shorter vids instead of a long one. Keeping them under 15m makes it WAY easier for me to get others to actually watch! 
@Volkolam - has this been resolved or does @Specter need to do some more troubleshooting for you?

It's happened before that something random someone posted about was seen by the devs, who liked the idea and put it in. No harm in wishing here, ever! Demanding is less smiled-upon
I really do hope that we'll have friend/guild/party markers on our maps this time. It would be awesome to log in and see where my guildies or friends are adventuring so I could go help them. And it's been honestly ridiculous to be in a party where I had zero idea where the other toon(s) are if they wander out of my sightline...
but this is an alpha, and the devs are testing specific new content, so I'm not beyatching, just saying that the party system doesn't feel fully realized yet for a very good reason.
dunno about aquafolk or raptorfolk, but I know my toon would LOVE to be able to swim across a river. She also would love to go fishing and eat some nice trout or tuna!.
Once the game is well-polished, additions like that might be possible?
As far as additional races, the intermittent occurrence of asteroids provides pretext if devs ever wanted to introduce a new concept. An underwater world could be fleshed out, with a few different races and a variety of mobs - interactions with land-bound folks could get very interesting...

As in the tests, the world of Finished Fractured will continue w/o you while you're gone, so (just as in tests) you'll want to be sure to end up in a safe-ish place before you log out. I always tried to find a friendly fireplace.
Because this game doesn't feature P2W, I think the percentage of hard-core professionals and unemployed incels will actually be lower in this game than in a more usual sort of 'freemium' mmorpg or rts.
If RL intrudes for a while, or we go on vacation, our toons can dream of us by the fireside until we're ready to play again. Because the same stuff happens to everyone, advantages gained should even out in the long run.

Having done the last few alphas, I know how important it is to finish the tutorial even though I have lots of other stuff I want to do. Doesn't take long and furnishes basic gear that enables me to hit the road to where my guildies in Meridian will be building our city.
It'll be fun to be able to take a mount instead of running the whole way 
Once I get to our city, I'll claim a plot and craft a chest to stow mats, then help with whatever needs doing. It's well worth it to me to prioritize that over building my own house, knowing how many perks await me as a citizen. Helping others build is fun for me.
But building my home and crafting/enchanting some decent nice gear is definitely the next step. It's never a bad idea to craft two sets of decent gear so you can stow one in case of death.
Once my city, my house, and my gear are sweet, it will be time to explore and upgrade my KP & skills!
