Great suggestions from both Nekrage and Kralith here. I'm hoping that the chat will be a focus during the next inter-regnum. It's super to have the different channels - now we need some more functionality. Status changes for party members (and guild members too - coming online or logging off) and a (please God?) mute/ignore toggle would add so much and take so little effort.

I'm hoping that the devs will polish things up a bit before dropping too much new content. There are QoL features that need attention as well -
I'm esp hopeful that soon we'll be able to trade 1 on 1 w party members & friends while traveling & mute/ignore in the global chat

Thanks for a good idea re workaround. I can do this. I was just hoping someone might know. If it was a blunt weapon in the last test, that's good enough for me
I have since crafted a warhammer, which is a lovely blunt weapon. DOWN go the wolfpacks in one swing

I see the two of them having very different fortes - Specter is the moderator and 'fixer'. Kralith is the vigilant documenter of found issues. Their talent sets are complimentary and VERY helpful.

I have had this happen with the war hammer I crafted yesterday. It was a t2 damage increase buff that was showing as 0% when I look at the weapon in my character screen.
I decided to wait and see whether it disappeared or amended when I logged out and back in today bc I figured others would have posted about this issue.
@Kralith - do you have any enchanted weapons w metal components? Have you already documented/screen shotted this?

Is a Quarterstaff a 'Blunt Weapon'?
I'm building a fighter toon and looking at the talent tree. There's a nice branch for 'blunt weapon' proficiency and it seems like a quarterstaff would qualify (the 2-handed war hammers do...). But there's no way to verify this.
The weapon description for a couple of weapons that are new for this test explicitly designates them as 'blunt' but quarterstaff doesn't.
Checked the wiki, asked in game. Can someone here help me out? Thanks!

I'm not fussed about the movement keys, but I do agree with @Ostaff that @Prometheus & the devs should catch up on QoL before introducing more content.
The house bug lingered WAY too long, and that would be enough to discourage me altogether if I were a new player who had spent 3 days building a nice big home for myself and then couldn't put a fireplace in it. I really appreciate the ability to see party members on the minimap, at last.
Spending some time catching that stuff up will sell the game more effectively than adding way more content for the next alpha, imo. There are plenty of suggestions on the forum to look over.
The one QoL suggestion that IS new content is the ability to do personal trading 1 to 1. Being able to transfer inventory btw members of a party would do just fine and seems like it should be an easy thing to patch in.
Similarly, welcome new content QoL for me would be the ability to mute/block dbags and trolls on global chat and the introduction of a few basic emotes like /greet
/bow
& /applaud

realistically, it would make more sense (to me personally) to have a silo where sacks could be stored and the upkeep would be automatically deducted, instead of making sacks of stuff, putting them in a cart, and bringing them to the town hall.
@Kralith is just pointing out a problem with the default setting for 'open this unit' that adds unnecessary clicks to an already tedious process. Not saying piling grain into my wagon shouldn't be tedious at all (that's realistic!). Just saying it shouldn't be unrealistically, needlessly tedious.
