I've been using the milling stone at a guildie's place w/o issue throughout this alpha. Sorry you're having issues, @Kralith! Thanks for documenting.

RE: [FRAC-2349] 100% growth nut crop is not yet mature
I haven't had this issue once, and I've been farming intensively for the last week. I wonder whether this might be a timing issue. It might clear up if you relogged & came back to it? But thanks for posting this so the devs could see it happened. Please post again if you were able to harvest this after a little time had passed.

Yeah, I hoped that the deadwood quarterstaff would help but no joy.

RE: Spread The Word & Win A Key!
I usually post the link to a different page, but ppl in this chat were griping about the new Game of Thrones game that took the place of the one we all loved, so I took the opportunity to spread my joy!
Gonna keep doing that and hoping to earn a key for the NEXT alpha. -
Pro Tip: Garden Nekkid
It's always a fine, sunny day in Syndesia, so my toon saves inventory weight when harvesting crops by gardening nekkid
She's started just wearing a couple pieces of 'damaged' gear to keep from being too squishy when she meets the dire wolf who spawns just outside the city on the way to her fertile fields. This snip is a keeper!

RE: KP for City Skills
@Prometheus said in
That'd be very hard to fit into our system I'm afraid. KP is not a currency you can spend - everything is calculated so that what you can gain from mobs, legends, and exploration allows you to learn all skills and unlock all talents with no points left.
first, thanks so much for responding! I get why this would mess up the plan. Can you talk more about what 'proficiencies' are planned to be? Wiki search didn't turn up much except the plan for professions like bow making, cooking, etc

RE: KP for City Skills
@Ostaff - again +1 to opening up permissions for citizens to contribute upkeep!
One workaround I had suggested that my guild is planning to do is building a chest close to the packaging station so citizens can put the odds and ends of meat and crop yields in it for combining into bag size lots. -

Perhaps when the profession system comes in we can see one for hunting or herbing? If you choose to specialize in it maybe you can get more loot and rare drops?
Ooooh! Shiny!

KP for City Skills
I don't make a lot of suggestions about new features, but I would like to suggest that it would enhance joy and be very realistic if players got KP (and possibly creatively designed skills) for doing the work of keeping a city running.
I'm hopeful that slaughtering deer, stags, and bunnies will EVENTUALLY result in some CHA skills, so that will help give some point to killing them other than KP and meat.
But even an aggro pvp-meister like @Nekrage will want a couple of folks in town who are good at doing upkeep stuff. And to keep our cities running happily, there ought to be a serotonin kick for the player who just smelted his first alloy, or bagged his 20th grain bag.
Not gonna make this a novel but I can imagine some sweet 'skills' to learn wrt farming and smithing.

RE: Durability is depleting WAY too fast + Tanks are getting screwed!
Poor tank! But, to play demon's advocate...
...in a 1on1 with a Legendary Boss, realistically, a fighter would expect their armor to get pretty trashed, I'd think. even if there are mages and rangers fighting at a distance and a bard to buff y'all, the armor is gonna take a lickin'It is a shame that armor can't be repaired. Realistically, it would make sense for there to be a way to repair armor, even if it didn't fix up all the way to its starting stats.

RE: Chariot/Caravan/Carriage instead of auto follow.
Oh mercy! From Fractured to Mad Max in less than 30 seconds.
@Nekrage - I notice you recognize the potential for SERIOUS losses.

RE: Chariot/Caravan/Carriage instead of auto follow.
Interesting idea. My original hope was to be a sort of caravan guide for travelers in Arboreus, so this would make a real difference in my 'profession'
But now that I'm playing and I imagine what that might be like in practice, I'm wondering how that would work if the caravan came under attack.
It's annoying to be riding along and have to dismount bc your horsie is getting munched by random wolves or spiders, but it's realistic and keeps traveling from getting too boring. If I were the only player online and I were leading a caravan - protecting/guiding several other players who were afk - this would be really tricky.
@Nekrage - help me visualize how your idea works in this scenario, ok?
