Will there be language barriers preventing demons from talking to humans or furries?
MMOs where i cant talk to people im fighting makes me feel sad. There's no real benefit to limiting the ability to talk to people. If you're worried about toxicity then preventing demons from talking to people isn't really a solution at all, just something to hide the problem from being noticed, while its still happening.

RE: Racial Diversity of Fractured Visualized
@dulu yes we are. my main issue is that clans will likely become a thing and tartar sauce will turn into a zergfest, so if the devs could somehow discourage demons ganging up on other demons thatd be nice, i have no idea how they would go about doing that though.

RE: Racial Diversity of Fractured Visualized
well thats amazingly balanced. im pretty surprised.
as for why demons seem to be in higher count, my guess is that since the hardcore pvp mmo crowd doesnt really have a place to be, theres gonna be more of us looking for mmos that arent released yet. when the game is released and if decent word of mouth goes off and the game becomes more popular, im guessing there will be significantly more humans and furries compared to now.

RE: FibS's big dumb semi-curated NOT official "I want this kind of Beastman!" topic
haha. furry.
no wait you actually said that in the op post. so much for my joke

RE: Hand Holding
the concept of "hand holding" isnt a simple "you either do it or you dont" thing. theres an extent to where you absolutely need a tutorial and need to decide how much you want the player to figure out on their own. obviously for people following the game since early as hell development u aint gonna need much of a tutorial about anything other than controls, but tutorials are supposed to be designed around people who pick the game up without knowing much about it.
as for my preferred amount of tutorialization, basic controls at the start, tell em how to kill a thing, afterwards give the option to talk to NPCs or something to learn how the more mechanical stuff works. and make use out of hovering over stuff!!!! cant tell the amount of times i wanted to know exactly what DEX did but there was no way to know in-game.

RE: Consider: Alternate Controls
updated the OP with my own onions because i didnt add enough originally

Consider: Alternate Controls
heyo this game seems real neat and id love to try it out but i have a MASSIVE distaste towards moba-like click to move controls. can yall gimme uhhhhhhhhh wasd ~(˘▾˘~)
didnt think the discussion in here would be so spicy lol ok ill explain better
so implementing an entirely new control scheme is very far from easily done in a day, but i think the benefits would be good. u have to consider who your playerbase is when it comes to typical MMOs (by typical i mean open world rpg and whatnot). as popular as click to move mobas have gotten in recent times, i dont believe their control scheme would translate well to a more relaxed and flexible gameplay style like an RPG.
click to move is more of a singular gameplay style way of controlling. its essentially made for being able to click a location so you can check on other stuff thats important while doing that. in a typical mmo, all you really need to keep track of is your character. if theres no camera to fly around with while your character is moving around, theres no real point of click to move. which is why games like battlerite chose WASD controls while being moba-styled too. its pure combat, and wasd offers much more precision, and frees up the use of the mouse to just aiming attacks. im very much a competitive pvper and the idea of the combat being me having to juggle movement and aiming attacks with the mouse just sounds awful to me.
this definitely isnt a "PUT THIS IN OR YOUR GAME WILL FUCKIN FAIL" thing, but for people with a distaste towards typical moba controls, itll make us feel a lot more comfy and welcome.

RE: Cosmetic cash shop, RMT and p2w.
in every small mmo ive seen, the devs have always known to avoid p2w like the plague, so its never really an issue. the main point being that p2w implies abusing human psychology and whatnot in order to bait players into buying as much shit as possible, and create/bait whales. in small indie mmo teams they aint ever gonna focus on getting a huge marketing department and various other professionals just to milk money out. additionally theres a huge bias against p2w in the western mmo scene so even big name mmos developed in the west know to avoid it.

RE: Becomming an Angel or Abommination
@finland Well of course I wont be evil if i'm an angel. If i'm able to live on Tartaros tho then ill do justice-y things to all the nerds living on there. I've never really enjoyed PKing people who aren't into it, so if im constantly getting messed with actual PvPers that would be awesome.

RE: Weekly Drawings - Be Active & Win Foundation Points!
oh didnt know this was a thing, neat. i did post a little review of mine on twitter when i initially saw this game so i guess that counts? now these are my honest thoughts, so theres critique in there too, but overall the game is lookin pretty bright.

RE: Becomming an Angel or Abommination
I'd prefer if you were still stuck on whatever planet your original race is stuck on (maybe with some good buffs to planetary transportation), so that there are proper downsides to making such a severe change in lifestyle. So if you become an abomination you have to deal with being hunted all the time by hundreds of zerglings, and if youre an angel you have to deal with a constant onslaught of PvPers. Though that creates the problem of the beastmen preferring to have PvP at a distance, and if a big group of people wanna grief via all becoming abominations and slaughtering the PvEers.
Tho if you make being an angel meaning your home planet is still the demon world, I will totally main that. Probably.

RE: PvP Combat Skill Cap
i know its mouse clickin im talkin about if the skills are movement locked or not i.e. if u slash a sword are you locked in place while you do it or can you move around still. my preference is locked movement personally but im always fine with full movement if its done well. though i absolutely hate mouse movement down to my very bones and if its the only (viable) option it might kill the game for me, but that has yet to be seen

PvP Combat Skill Cap
hey just learned about this game like 2 minutes ago seems pretty neat yeah ok here are my thoughts on it that i already posted on twitter if you care about me and my opinons (you dont) so i wont type them again cause i dont have fingers https://twitter.com/TheWholeMyux/status/977210544745865216 (this is called shilling)
provided the devs know how to make their mechanics flow well with each other and dont make anything tedious for the sake of being tedious my main issue, along with every other pvp mmo, is if the combat will be fun to do. so basically im wondering what experience the devs have with action combat, what movement style itll be (locked or full movement, or maybe a hybrid idk) and the big question being if it has a decently high skill cap, which also begs the question of if there will be any advanced tech to learn
also if theres RNG misses and resists embedded in the combat cause if there is just miss me with that shit
anyway im a harsh person with harsh opinions but in reality u got some decent potential over here, actually managing to make a game that can please the cowards and the pkers is very impressive and u have my blessings
