      Couldn't you already build some roads last test, or am I imagining things now?
      That said, I guess they should be 'restricted', as in you can't just build roads wherever you want, or you're going to see a very, very strange world after a while.

      Für der Weg ist das Ziel hätte ich dir jetzt spontan andere Titel empfohlen (wobei ich nicht sicher bin das dies hier erlaubt ist).

      There is a planet specifically dedicated to PvP, so I'm not sure how valid that statement might me. You are right in that one can play 'without that mindset' just fine as Beastman, but there's still other races that might not have that comfort.

      I have never played the game, so I can't really judge what you're stating there or compare it. I'd have to wonder though, if there's plenty alternative, why do people willingly accept basic 'slavery'? If there's some sort of force, sure, that's going to happen. But remember that Fractured is planned to be a massively large world (being a LOT LOT bigger than most other games in terms of terrain is somewhat of a selling point behind SpatialOS) with plenty of cities with plenty of nodes. And you can't just 'dominate' people either, since progression isn't grind and vertical based.

      Weil es für mich sehr schön die drei Arten von Spielern (kein PvP, volles PvP, manchmal PvP) wiederspiegelt. So hätte ich es auch designed.

      I'd say let them develop and display their vision of the knowledge and interactive/counter/environment battle system first, then test it and then let's provide feedback. They have a rather clear vision, so they should have a chance to get that set and running.

      You would want new cash, but at the same time, you want to avoid people seeing the project, thinking that's not flashed out, and heading on without dropping money. There are studies to that field and it's a lot more financially viable in the long term to give people a stunning first impression (if that is possible, and as far as we know, it is, since Dynamight Studios is financially stable).
      That doesn't mean you wouldn't give updates to your existing community, which is entirely different from a promotion!

      Genau das sehe ich durchaus auch als Vorteil. Damit hat man weniger Leute die zufällig vorbeikommen und aus Spaß alles ruinieren wollen, wenn man versucht vernünftig Dinge zu testen (wofür ein Alpha build eigentlich genutzt werden sollte).

      Es ist bei Alphas sehr wahrscheinlich das es eine Menge an 'resets' geben wird, darüber würde ich mir eher weniger Gedanken machen. Und es gibt durchaus wenig Leute in der Alpha 1, also wird es auch mehr als genug Town Slots geben bei denen man einen zweiten/dritten Versuch setzen kann, falls der Erste nicht klappt. Aber es gibt nur einen Spot auf der Karte der genau neben einer Mine, neben einem Shrine und eher abgelegen ist. Und wenn der besetzt ist, bleibt er es wahrscheinlich auch 😉

      That should only apply to the final product though and even then in a limited form.
      Releasing a minimal viable product early on is crucial to 'prove' that you can get things done. And there's a fine line between being patient and getting into feature creep, effectively running out of funds, having to cancel your project in the end.

      It's not 'acting shocked', but rather hoping for reconsidering the timeline.
      Yes, releases and limited tests happen throughout the year, but there are few MMORPG releases and that's the direct competitor. The majority of Fractured players is unlikely to enjoy FPS, racing games and what have you, a certain amount certainly is, but not the majority. But the amount of overlap with potential New World players is large, since it's the same genre and, let's face it, it is the biggest MMORPG release of 2021.
      The last test was nearly empty towards the introduction of siege mechanics. I couldn't find a single group that would siege/defend and these sieges/PvP should be a core consideration for the new item balancing, so you want to have several sieges near the end of the test when people have top tier items, in order to gather real, reliable data for launch, when that is going to be the case (or, if it ain't you have different problems).
      Not shocked at all, but trying to act in a way that I hope and consider to be in the best interest of the game.

      Das Problem gibt es mit und ohne 'lebendiges' Forum. Spieler die ein 'Spiel' erwarten sind immer enttäuscht wenn Sie auf einen Titel treffen der wirklich 'early access - alpha testing' offeriert, denn die Zyklen für neuen Content sind viel. viel länger und der neue Content bedeutend weniger als bei fertigen Spielen. Und selbst fertige Titel haben oft Probleme Spieler zu halten.
