@gothix said in Let's be honest...:

@Zidroc you have a great level considering you've only been here for 2 days, lol.

Exactly, when i joined the forum, the leaderboard was with people in this level range and it took much more time to get to level 37.

So be happy @Zidroc, it is way easier now to grab your rewards. 😉

    • RE: Servers

@matvanpac The Developer still said, they will try to figure out if they can place servers on different places. But even then it will be just a connection point to the „one server“ architecture.
That never means it is just a single server, it will be more like a serverfarm, but a one world architecture.

@Sparky has Prometheus not said enough he is tired about these kind of bullying? You guys should keep this in private, because the continue of accusing does not help anyone in this forum.
You all said enough of this case, it is time to stop this war. Keep your energy for later ingame and fight like a real man in there. 😛

@zidroc because the most people who are in the Leaderboard are there for a long time and got all points from the quests beside the drawings.
Also there was for the first months more daily points, because you got 10 daily points for just being registered. That was removed some months ago.
Also they post daily. Me per example got now 6800 points just for the quest of daily posting.

@sparky in parts i would agree with you, just i would not chose your words.
Call it fake faces on me, but in my opinion it is what it is, toxic people should take always a breath before they type anything. It does not help to fire them, with this part i go conform. But it also does not help to ignore them totally.
Yes healthy ignoring toxic threads are a good way, but it also needs a hard hand, same as when a small kid yells like hell and its parents need to say stop.
      Nothing else said Prometheus.

In result no extreme way helps in case of terror. Not to look away, not to confronting them. The only way i see is, that the grown up community stand behind the Developement and let any toxic attitude wreck on the strenght of society.

Me got a bit disapointed, that we are here for month or even a year and support Dynamight because we believe in them and then some people comes in and try to mess up with everything.
If i‘m a new guest in a house i don‘t come in with a bomb and throw all to the ground and then wonder about, why the housekeeper kick me out. If i‘m new somewhere i look around and try to figure out the rules of the house and try to arrange myself with this rules.
Sadly in anonymous internet it seems opposite. Some people step into a house and think they are the biggest kings at all and don‘t care about anyone who is still there.
I really want to see some of you, how you would act, if you would be in a similar real life situation.
I‘m 100% sure, this toxic guys would be small even with heels and a hat in front of everyone of us. Maybe they even would be totally nice and socialized people. Why they can‘t be like this in the virtual worlds?

Just to clarify, i don‘t mention later ingame politics, that surely can be toxic in its Roles they play. But i wish, this people could stop to play roles as soon they are in conversation face to face or in internet case letter to letter.

    • RE: Haven't pledged? Want to upgrade, but not sure yet? Tell us why!

As i read here, the main problem is, people often don't believe in ideas anymore, they want to get something strong in their hands.
Beside this, the gaming market is so overloaded, that people can't wait, they want things now and immediately.
Thats good to see at DuendeBrek. He just see "i can play the game in 2 years" and thats disapoints him.
But he forget to realize, with the Pledges you can play even way earlier, just the game will be not finished when you start it.
The mainproblem i see is, that most people are not able to differencing between early start and development time. They think a game just fall out from the sky immediately an idea is created.

For my part i "just" pledged the immortal EB, in reason it is my fist Kickstarter ever, i'm just a bit carefully about this part of supporting. I like to support good ideas in many other ways, especially to spend later on some more money and just took the first step in as a good start into a long run.

I don't need to get much grandious trailer about a game, that just suggest a good video editing skill.
At the state of the game the graphics and animations and all the stuff can't be final.
I know very well, that the most important thing at this state is not to polish the look, but the gamesystem itself.
For that what we got to watch and read, i'm still touched, because i can summarize the whole idea behind the game in my mind. Most people don't do this step, just read the first lines and see the early graphics and then they don't know what they should do with.
I guess that was meant with "We need a WOW-Effect".
Yes, thats what people need today, some glittery pictures, unicorns and miracles.

I would like maybe if you guys don't follow the glittery needs, but go more into this special idea about sandboxing, crafting, and the competitive and cooperative orientation. Show them more about the real new idea, how you want to give the Big Dark Knights same enjoyment as the Cute Gummi Bears, how they can live beside each other. That would you lift off from all the other sandbox, open world MMOs that came out last years and mostly stucked at their own uninspired clouds.

@esoba i think the wrong way is to judge Dynamight for the toxitity of some people who just joined the community for just wanting to cause trouble.
If you cancel the KS pledge and leave us alone, the troublemaker got their goal to crash next community.
You are Legate, you should know it better, that 99% of the people here are nice one.
You don't hit these people with leaving Fractured alone, you let suffer the wrong persons.

The only thing we all now can do to stand in the back of Dynamight and standing to them, because we want to show our strenght against all perps.

Thats the good thing at Fractured, you will be able to play whatever you want.
Thats a part of the system, that carebears can enjoy the game as much hardcore fighter will enjoy it.
I‘m just curious how good the system will work at the end.

      Zuversicht ist was Feines 😄

    • RE: Bit worried where the Kickstarter is

We should also not forget, that there are many people out there, who are quite active but don‘t have access to a credit card. I know at least some of them who would like to support them on Kickstarter but just are not able to do this.

I already helped one of them with my own credit card, as a very special exception. But many others don‘t have this possibility. At least one more who could push the kickstarter a bit to the immortal state. May others follow 😉

    • RE: Two Words On Reporting, Leaderboards & Pre-Alpha. I'm tired.

@Prometheus and @Specter you do it very well and your statement here gives me one more time the proof, i‘m exactly right here at this place.

I wonder too, why so many people think it is something special to be in a Pre-Alpha, just because to play this game as soon as possible and to be the bests of the bests.
This kind of thinking has never helped to get a game well polished.
As i mentioned before, an Pre-Alpha is not about playing, it is hard work to find the issues so that you are able to eliminate this issues.
A Pre-Alpha is not fun at all, but it is the possibility to give the feedback that Dynamight need to get a game ready for the phase where the public is able to look into it.
Even in Alpha 1 the game will be far away from being ready, but in this phase it should be round, it should be eyecatching and it should be out of the worst bugs.

And that we get a nice polished Alpha 1 in December, therefor is the Pre-Alpha Testing and every Tester should just have this in mind, to be a part of the people who help to get a game that is most enjoyable by masses, when it is going into public view.

I was personally a bit disappointed, when i saw, that there are still people in our community, who give a shit on the hard work the development team is doing and who just want to cause stress and trouble.

But thank you Dynamight that you have a look on it and try to get it clean as possible.
Nobody wants people who just want to compare their longest part on body, just to beat the next game to the bottom. And for what, just because they are able to do it, because our great internet is just so anonymous and for harassing everyone.

I wish, people would finally realize, that they meet real people in the internet as they meet them in real life.

@lperro said in Community Call - Translation Help 2:

@kapier said in Community Call - Translation Help 2:

Direkt bei den empfohlenen Projekten gelistet.

Hmm yes, i was also thinking about to write "Direkt in die Team-Favoriten."

Also i'm not sure if we should describe it with "Empfohlene Projekte", even ist the better translation for "featured", because if you use a Filter to find just these featured Projekts, then you need to choose in german Kickstarter version the Filter "Team-Favoriten".

What you think about @Kapier and @lperro ?

    • RE: Community Call - Translation Help 2

@kapier Ooops, It was late to my excuse, changed the "das" 😉

And exactly, the part "von kompetetiver und kooperativer Spielweise" i was long on thinking about, because not many germans know the world kompetetive very well, even its a valid german word. So i searched something that was more understandable. Per translator there are more meanings of it "wettbewerbsfähig, konkurrenzfähig, leistungsfähig" first one i used at first. But it does not say it in a good way to differencing the both gameplays, its more one is more pointed to "fighting each other" in meaning of competition and the other says "playing with each other". Fist thought was to say "wetteifern" in german, but "wettstreiten" was for me the better word.
I know that @Mata also stumbled over this sentence.

But i think @kapier and @Prometheus we also would be fine to translate it 1to1 with "kompetetiver und kooperativer" and the interested player need to google about the word "kompetetiv" in doubt 😄
