      Yes i agree, if it would be exactly like that.

      I was more in thinking about using materials as a currency like in PoE.
      And if we have that, it will wonderful fit ito a player driven economy, because we always will need new materials, for repairing houses, for crafting our equip, for creating things to fulfill our needs (food, drugs, drinks).
      In this system automatically will be the magic dust and the spices the most valueable currency, since you will need it at countless expeditions, and the rare metals, because you will need much good weapons and the shiney diamonds, because you want to bring your girl to smile!

      Beside this, it can be also a good idea for some crafted (with restrictions) coins for paying the landlord or the Taverngirl for the next beer and a bed.

      That can be a wonderful feature for establishing a payed Headhunter business. 😉

      @holyhong At least a player driven currency is best way to prevent that what you fear.
      Surely there will be materials thats more worth than others, but the player will set their price.
      The material thats needed most will be the most expensive, but still payed by another material in exchange.

      It is a bit like in real world: You want Iron? Sure, but give me all the sugar you have!

      Btw. an example once again: Path of Exile has a great player driven Currency system. I can imagine similar for Fractured.

      Prolog:
      Da wir nun immer mehr News bekommen werden, und hoffentlich auch einige deutschsprachige mehr, dachte ich mir, dass es sinnvoll ist ein kleines Inhaltsverzeichnis für unsere Übersetzungen zu schreiben.
      Dann geht nichts verloren 🙂

      Außerdem linke ich die noch nicht übersetzten Artikel, so fühlt euch frei, euch einen zu krallen!
      @Eurav und @RogueThorn haben außerdem eine Google Docs Liste erstellt, in denen alle verfügbaren News-Beiträge zusammengesammelt wurden, mit Hinweis, ob schon eine Übersetzung vorliegt oder nicht.
      Hier könnt ihr noch besser sehen, was uns noch fehlt.

      Das Wiki

      Es gibt ein offizielles Fractured-Wiki auf Gamepedia, welches von @kellewic ins Leben gerufen wurde und vorwiegend administriert wird.
      Jeder kann das Wiki editieren und neu entdeckte Dinge eintragen.

      Wir wollen hier natürlich auch deutsche Übersetzungen anbieten.
      @RogueThorn kümmert sich daher um die Koordination und Hilfestellungen bei den Übersetzungen.

      You got much hints for UO, i could not play UO in its times much, since i had a very terrible internetconnection. But since i played much UO like singleplayer games, i was searching for something similar online... an longlasting search over the years.
      Then i heard around 9 months ago about Fractured.
      And it got me from first moment, even we just had some pics and a vision spread over 5 Spotlights.
      I think you will find much similarities with UO as you will find much influences from other games.
      @Lohen said once, that it is maybe nothing new, but in its combination it is unique!

      I wish you much fun in exploring all the still available Informations we have 🙂

      Soweit ich das verstanden habe, sind die dem Kickstarter wohl vorbehalten. Aber das wissen wir genauer, wenn Prometheus oder Specter das beantworten würden.
      Die Stretchgoals sollen aber wohl auf die Seite wandern, wenn der Kickstarter erfolgreich war. Ob das alle beinhaltet, weiß ich nicht.

      Prometheus mentioned a bit about Crafting in the Q&As (Survival & Travel & Crafting & Building) about it.

      Crafted Items will not directly make you stronger, as you know it from many other MMOs, like magic/rare/epic. But Items will have special Abilities to support your skills or makes you more surviable and something like that.
      Per example: If you want to make an expedition in rough mountain areas, where it is cold, it is recommended not just to run in a shirt, but with a coat.
      Just a simple example, but i think it it explains the system very well.

      Many questions was answered in the Q&A, but for getting a full view to the possibilities we need to wait for more spotlights and the ingame experience in Alpha.

      I know, why i never liked reddit or similar community systems.
      You are able to spread the words, but there are so much trolls around, that you need to be always worried about false accusation. Too much time to spend to correct such things, if you are not familar about the rules and acting in such communities.

      @logain That can be almost impossible to hold this places this way, since the prestige will influence the townplaces.
      Means, even a Guildtown you will not be able to create just with a one man guild and hold its upkeep.
      Because it needs some activity in a town not to let it degrade back to a Hamlet.
      If i understand the system in a right way.

      Well, there must be some currency, that NPCs demand.
      But even that can set up to the different materials.

      NPCs could offer some materials for special other materials like diamonds, metal bars or something like that. It would also become something flaw, if the NPC offers/demand materials based by its lore.

      @suruq Thats indeed a good question.
      But maybe it is possible to create a real currency - "Gold Pieces" per example - by your own.
      Lets say, there is a hard to get ressource that you can emboss to a coin.
      At beginning there will be maybe not that much of this, but after some exploring and trading between player it will become more and more and is eligible to pay with it NPCs.
      Beside this in trades there should be always the possibility to use material exchanges as value for "currency".
      Since we have a strong crafting and player driven economy, it would be somehow disapointing, if all is just based on a simple and stupid "gold/silver/whatever" coin based currency.

      If we will have a system, where the currency depends on the need of a special material, we will for sure have some materials at each planet, that will be much needed by other planets inhabitants.
      In this system an special exchange will not be neccessary, because you will be always able "to pay".
      Like if a Beast from Arboreus want some Crystals from Tartaros, then the Daemon from there want surely something from Arboreus in exchange for it. Win-Win situation.
      For that this kind of system is able to work, it is recommended, that there will be special ressources on each planet, that is obtainable by its inhabitants but hard to get for foreigners.

      I can imagine not to have one "currency", but many currencies:

      • rare metals
      • spices
      • crystals
      • or even all materials are eligible to be a "currency"

      I would like to see, that the player choose their own "currency" from the materials that will be available, because it will be for sure the most required ressources ingame.
