Well yes, there should be in next such survey a text field for each answer, to give feedback to each rating.
Well, maybe some text limit, since the poor guys would receive walls of text by me, just because i was drinking too much β˜• before. πŸ˜‚

@Eurav Yes, was thinking same πŸ˜„
But i guess it was well thought through, since you just will write down stuff, if you are not entirely okay with the way the features actually presenting themself.
If you think the way is okay how some things are developed, you don't need to write anything. And you still have 2 ratings to difference between "Yeah, exactly how i wanted it" (aka Great) or "it's okay, lets see how it gets developed" (aka Good).

      Average does not mean bad.
Mostly it just means, it is common.
To get a good or great rate it needs to be already good as it is.
But i don't think we can expect this rating in Alpha entirely.
I wrote at which circumstance i will give a good or great rate πŸ˜‰

This survey needs a field for general feedback.

For general feedback you have the Forum.

I want also to opine on parcel availability. That was pretty bad. Wasted many hours just hunting for a place to build. Without any other way to store more items and craft some more advanced stuff, this was too much a waste of testing time. Hope the focus for the next alpha includes building availability.

There will be, take a look to the latest february 2020 playtest review. πŸ˜‰

    • RE: My opinion about stage of gamedev.

@Shadowkhan as i said, you expected much things.
But to say, i had much fun at this some days of testing.
I built my 8th house completely, honestly i do not know how much it was, but i will built several more, to find all bugs housing related. Yes i had fun to find bugs and report them.

I watched the lifestream of @Oxfurd and meet up with his group, to fight together and find bugs and glitches and weird handlings. I also had fun to watch them, when they tried PVP. While i watched this i wrote my summary to help the Devs to get all the errors (aka bugs) out of the features.

We are in the Alpha for getting exactly what we get. The Prototypes of the core features to find their problems.
A Prototype donβ€˜t need to be filled with much stuff, just exactly that much, that you are able to test it.
Per example the Crafting System, with different possibilities, different materials and you get a better Armor.
we donβ€˜t need tousands of possibilities, that just would make the testing more confusing.
Once all corefeatures working as expected, then they will add content.
Content is a topic for the Beta.
But we will be for sure till end of the year in Alpha.

If you donβ€˜t feel worth to play now, take a look to the game when it is going to the Beta, because then all of your requested stuff will be inside. πŸ˜‰

      @Shadowkhan
An Alpha test is for testing each corefeature, one after another.
With time you will get more and more features in it, if the others you tested already worked.
At the start of the Alpha, we had rarely bears, deers, wolfs, foxes and rabbits. And just a handful skills.
Hey, but we could build houses and pick up some plants, where the most had no use.
Just to say, the Alpha is made to test the corefeatures.
Even if they come supposedly random or get taken away later again, if they don't work.

We have so many things that will come in later tests.
Next test we will get first NPC Towns as Starter Towns and the plots you will not be able to just to take, they will cost something.
Also first Guild Features will be in the test. And new Monsters.

Also upcoming in later tests are own towns, trading, alignment system, following a full PVP system, biome conditions (hot, cold), all 3 Races and its Planets... and more and more.

Fractured is a true Alpha and not an Early Access.

    • RE: Knowledge System Harvesting

@Razvan horizontal means, that your naked veteran character with starter skillset will not be better than a new one.
That means, you donβ€˜t raise level, so you will stay equal.
But obvisiously, you will be better than a new one, since you have way more knowledge. Even you will give the new one same equip as you wear, you will have a better skillset and probably can win a fight, if you chose your right skills.

      Maybe a small picture.
Imagine you wear your luck outfit and have just gathering skill (hope they will come) in your actual set, because you want to find the rarest flowers. A new one comes with his hammer and will beat you with his 3 starter skills, since you probably donβ€˜t have any fighter skill in your actual set.

Horizontal progression simple means, all depends on your choice, not on a themepark preset that you just can alter limited.

@Kralith Nope. I was on several alpha tests in different games. And I saw a main concept of game (idea) but here I see just empty page. If It's enough for you and you ready pay for it - Good luck.

Did you ever read the Design Journals?
I did... and yes, i was ready to support the game at kickstarter. That was the time we not even had something to step in, game wise. I don't wish myself good luck, i wish it to the developers, to be able to stand all things that hit and get their vision of the game to a real working one.
I do not know which Alphas you played and with which game you compare it.
In my opinion, they do every test a step more to get the features in they promised.
I do not get, what they do wrong in your opinion, i see them totally on the way of their design concept.
And i know, we will get way more living world, once we get town features and all areas, continents and Planets are made by the graphic team.

Thought stress test was success as intended to push server to its limits which worked rather smoothly.

Indeed it was a success, the News tell you how good it was πŸ˜‰

Enchanting is complete and utter garbage, just randomly putting mats into enchanting table to hope its something that helps your class.

Uhm... no, it is a very helpful crafting possibility.
And it is not even random. You can very good combine to get exact the enchants you want and apply them all.
I guess you should take a more detailled look to the enchanting next test πŸ™‚

Make a table that says you need 20 mushrooms for crit enchant or 20 blank for durability boost etc pretty simple fix.

By all Gods, please no! That would be the most boring crafting for Enchantments ever.

Bows can we get one skill besides poison see mages running around with 5 different ones and i have nothing. 90% of the time i was running around gathering stone and tree branches to make arrows instead of actually fighting mobs.

I am very very sure you will be able to play a cool Hunter with much Skill possibilities, you just need to find the right ones.
We Arcanists don't have 5 Skills, while you just have 1, for sure. It probably just feels for you as if it would be like this.
Also never forget, we are in Alpha, that means much Balancing will happen in future.

Remove the need to craft arrows when you use bow you should have unlimited arrows. I would literally craft 1000 arrows and use them in half hour then spend 45 mins making thousand more which is insanely annoying and complete waste of gameplay time.

Uhm, unlimited arrows? How you will create a kind of economy, if you making just all things unlimited?
Probably a topic of Balancing, but would makes no sense to get Arrows out of the nowhere.

Next is poison when you enchant a bow it should be on said bow till durability reaches zero and not have to constantly reapply. All bow users spend way to much time gathering mats for arrows and poison fix asap its really bad and thanks for listening. All my bow users please stand up and be heard.

Somehow i do not really understand, what you demand here.
You mean, poison should apply to the bow as long the bow is not broken?
Beside some demanded infinite use of an very possible valueable trade good, it makes no sense to poison a Bow, since you don't throw it to your enemy, but the arrow πŸ˜‰

@Razvan Enchanting was clearly rushed into the game to say hey look new feature instead of being thought out properly and then implemented at the right time

@Pickle said in Honest thoughts on stress test.:

I like the idea of the enchanting system and yet I do feel it was somewhat rushed. Perhaps to give the previous testers the β€œnew thing” I feel it needed tool tips for the symbols so it wasn’t such a chore to figure out the symbols and their respective properties. Having said that I enjoyed figuring it out. NEW THINGS YAY!

For sure it wasn't implemented to give old players something new.
It was implemented to get tested.
It wasn't rushed, because it is in the test exactly at the right time. It will be a corefeature of the game, so it has to get tested as early as possible, even with bugs.
But what i can say, it had not that much bugs.
It is litterally a well implemented feature, that works quite good from start.
And it is of course well thought through.
Once you get in it, it is almost intiutive. Find the right rare stuff and combine it for your sake.

      @Elric
I saw all the posts and somehow missed it, when you started it 7 days ago.
I guess i was too much into the game to test, so i wasn't seen it.

I was reading the stuff that was going on last days, and yes, it was also a kind of toxic. I don't want to judge any Source of it πŸ˜‰

You was frustrated and wanted just to leave a bit grumbling expression.
Others got frustrated to read about it.

I can tell you, this community is far away from being toxic.
      Far far away!
For sure such a community feels wronged if it happens, that someone who not even know them say not so nice things about them:
      @Elric said in Really Disappointed.:

Meanwhile, all I see in chat is a bunch of kids trolling new players.
People would ask where there were open plots, so trolls would suggest spots that were open - and then laugh when people got there to find all the spots taken. Fun stuff.

...On the bright side, I'm glad I ran into the toxic community and gameplay issues before I invested any money into the game. It's just disappointing....

As other said, this is an Alpha with a lot of missing content and mechanics.
Also it wasn't "the Community" that you got known, it was a bunch of people who got free access, since we had a stresstest. The next active Alpha Phase will be just with backer again. And i can promise you, this community is great and helpful. And you will enjoy playing Fractured and see it's potential.

I can forgive you the first rant you had, because you maybe did not think about, that the "community" you faced is not the community that stands for that game. πŸ˜‰

      As for your Game Issues.
      @Elric said in Really Disappointed.:

However, my 1 hour in the game was frustrating and pointless.
I started out messing with gathering / crafting and some PvE.
That part was alright, but going any farther was a waste of time.
Literally every single plot on the map is taken. I ran for 40+ minutes and did not see a single open plot of land to test any of the player housing and building mechanics.
Why have an open Alpha test if every single plot on the map is already taken?

That all plots was taken, was to expect, since every tester was running for it.
But look, thats a good sign, even it was bad for you, since you could just step in late.
A good sign, because that means we had a lot of tester and the Devs had much oppotunities to learn about it.
Don't worry, with the next test we start from new, as in every test...
      I maybe built now my 8th or 9th house? I don't know πŸ˜„
Also they will change the way it works. Because that was planned from beginning.
It will not be that important for you to have a house from start. Also it will cost you something to get it.
That was planned since beginning. But developing this takes time πŸ™‚

      @Elric said in Really Disappointed.:

It's just disappointing, because I thought this game had an insane amount of potential.

If you like the concept, try to get us all known.
Get the Developement Team known, be a part of the Community.
      Thats simple as it is.
And to say it with @Pwnstar words: "You can't get away from toxic people." Thats true. But you can find the people you like to be with and ignore the ones who want to destroy your fun.

Last but not least i want to defend Pwnstar a bit. When i was reading your entry my opinion about it was also a bit like: "hey... you complain about toxic people, but step into us with a very toxic behaviour, you litterally said, you are happy that you consider us all as toxic people, to know who you don't want to get known."

I just say it with the words of @PeachMcD

      Exactly @Gothix
With the Knowledge system, as it works actual, you will be able to expand it infinite.
I can imagine for crafting very cool Knowledge.

      ... Finest Clothes ...
you will learn to make the most fitting weave for the best enchanted magic Outfit while doing weaving.
If you take a look to the actual enchantingsystem, the clothes have slots for enchanting. A result of a better Knowledge about Weaving can be an direct impact to the slots that your clothes will have.
Also values like Armor and Resistance could get a multiplier, as better you are at Weaving, as more the multiplier will be at your crafted Goods.

      ... Cooking ...
The difference between a hot dipped water and making Shrooffeeβ„’
      Nothing else to say πŸ˜‰

      ... Sharp Weapons ...
      You are the best smith?
Why you can do most durable Weapons and Tools?
Because you got the Knowledge by making several of them.

      ... Look that Flower! ...
If you like to pick up things from the Bottom, again and again.
You will be able to see hidden ones.
You will find them, because you got the knowledge where to look at.

The list is long and my imagination big πŸ˜‰
