    • RE: What excites you most for the upcoming test

Town & Guild Management (not sure, if and how much we get in next test)

That get my most interest for now, to see which tools and features they will give us.

But to be honest, i am excited for every stuff we will get. I want to see the game growing and becoming a well cutted diamond.

    • RE: Games that didn't make it

      As for my list:

Otherland - well it was very poorly made, but alone the try to bring it to a game got my interest in it.
SkySaga - Some Minecraft-like MMORPG, very promising but droped... Developer should not go to bed with korean publisher.... never ever do that, if you not just want to throw a short living money machine into the gaming maket.

The more known games, that i wanted to see that they are long living, but did not made it:
      Warhammer Online
      Wildstar

      @Farlander and @Ori0n

      Firefly Online

Well, the Name Firefly seems to be cursed.
I did not waited for the game, but it made me sad that they just made one season of the serie.
So much potential, such a waste.

    • RE: Beta 1? Beta 2?

@PeachMcD You will have with Artisan all things from smaller packs too.
The Founder gave "Access to Beta - Phase 1", that means you will have access from Beta 1 for sure πŸ™‚

You can read the content of the Packs at Kickstarter
or just look to your History Page, there are listed all your rewards and accesslevels.

    • RE: Missing blog to read.

I know that well, i have at least 3 missing Newsletter in my Quests, even i clicked every single one again, i don't get the points for the 3 missing, so i guess i don't have the Newsletter for it.
Same i have with shared one, one is missing.
But well, i guess at my level it is not important anymore to have all counted right. πŸ˜‰

But good you found your missing.
Sometimes it helps to click them twice, the page sometimes don't count you as logged in, so probably you clicked the news in this condition.

PS: If anyone knows what's the tag for spoiler... please share it with me.

      This Forum uses Markdown syntax.
As i know there is no syntax for hidden text. But not sure, if this forum maybe has an additional funktion that can get activated for spoiler text.

But with markdown you can use way more than you usually do.
Beside the stuff on the tool bar, you also can create tables and a checklist, i tested it, and it works well on this forum.
If you want to know, what is possible with Markdown, look to this Guide.
I did not test all of them, but i think most will work here on forum.

    • RE: Fractured Store & Foundation Updates

@Prometheus in case of Corona, you need to see the positive side, as a gamer and even more as an developer of a game you can spend this "somehow quarantined" time very well πŸ˜‰

The upgrades to the Foundation and Founderpacks are great.
But the best thing is, that it is possible to gift another player.
That makes so many things way easier. πŸ™‚

    • RE: Foundation

@Jetah Don't forget, they are under 10 people right now, who are developing the game. Of course they have all their special jobs, but there are not much ressources to make masses on concepts and models for extra rewards. They will have enough to do, to implement the game itself.
Adding more extras needs intelligent decisions. Are they able to find the time inbetween content creating for the beta, to make nice extras for us?
We should not expect anything, but appreciating their work and what they are able to give us. πŸ˜‰

At some point one of the devs mentioned that they are planing on adding more items to the foundation is that still in the books?

Hmm i just remember they said, they did not plan it.
They left it open, whether they might consider adding things.

(Edit: I was overseen Znirfs statement πŸ˜„ )

In my opinion there is not really a need for new rewards.
I would rather like to see that they concentrate to the game instead of creating more content, that they need to add till release.
Imagine the crying about, if not all Rewards will be given at release, just because they had do add more and more, because people craving for it.
Would be a stupid way to make us happy πŸ˜‰ πŸ˜›

    • RE: Best mmo features

Definetivly the Housing in Wildstar, beside the complexity of the design possibilities, i also liked that you had Plots that gave minigames for visitors.

And yes, i need to agree @Gothix again, the Skillwheel of Original The Secret World i liked so much.

For the fear factor of an permadeath Sandbox game, i point out Salem the Game.
H&H is surely nice too, but with the resets you probably had not such a bound to your character than in Salem.

If i come back to The Secret World, its questsystem with the Investigation quests was for me another point to love that game, beside the amazing lore.

As for the Crafting, i liked it in Salem the Game, since it was somehow grindy, but you did not feel its grind. There was so many steps to do, per example: plant trees, harvest them, make boards on a bench, dry them, plane them, oil them....
You had to raise purity on your fields with a special 3 field planting mechanic.
Purity also was a thing for Fruittrees, Worms for your Compost Bin, Chicken, Planting Pots, surely i forgot something πŸ˜‰
If you used different materials you got different stuff from the same receipe.
You had to figure out by yourself, what you have to combine.
I know some other games who have a very nice crafting, that keeps you busy.
It is always interesting, if you don't have to "one click" (like in WoW) to craft, but have several steps, some secrets, a random factor and some effort to do, to get useful Crafts, that you also are able to trade.

For PVP i was also a huge Fan of Warhammer Online, @Shivashanti decribed it well.

      @Xzoviac said in Survey Idea:

you could also sit with a forum post open during alpha and just add to it every-time you find a bug have a thought so on, just minimise update it add screenshot or whatever then keep playing

I tend to write single reports while testing for bugs i am encountering and making notes to my Text File in Notepad++
At some point, mostly at the end of a phase, i am writing a whole feedback out of my notes.
I am slow in writing if i want to say something useful πŸ˜‚

      @Jetah said in Survey Idea:

i just keep the game open while i have notepad++ or the forums open. i can quickly grab screen shots, gifs, etc that way.

      πŸ˜„ Same!

@Rumor i think at each end of a phase is enough.
Beside this what Jetah wrote, it would be too much work for the small team to read this survey feedback.
I think it is more than enough to have such a survey after Alpha2.1 now and later end of Alpha2.2, Beta X.x
You also have to think, that we will open and close the game way more often in the test phases than we would do in Release Candidate. If this Surveys would pop up every time, it would be super annoying.
And i think an overall feedback is more helpful.
