    • RE: New Order

@Lohen because we talked about the 80s 😉
For 90s i can throw in much dark wave and alternative and EBM and Industrial and a bit Ska... and and and. 2000+ is difficult, i would throw in much too, but less known i think.

If you want more crazy things, there is such an interesting Song. 😉

      +1

Absolutely, there should be an OTP for Login.
They already have an Account Guard running, where you get an e-mail with an one time code, but i think, that will be not enough.
I would like to have an OTP Token, that i can generate by myself and thats not get sending over the internet, where some man in the middle can grab them. Especially for the Game Login later.
Would be afraid just to use a password, that not even take special characters (not sure, if the new forum is able to use special characters finally), for my account with probably an governor status ingame.

      @Gibbx 😘🤗
      Being old is relative 😉
I started to establish my own music taste end of the 80, means with the fall of the german wall.
I guess, even if you feel old now, there will be many gamer who think, that i am also very old 😂
But gamer can‘t be old, not even with 99 years!

    • RE: Bartle's Taxonomy and this game.

Oh, i do not fit exactly into this quadrant.
Let me think how i would describe my play style.
      Maybe a socialized archiving explorer.
I do chatting and socializing very often, but i am too chaotic and confused, to be caring all all the time about the socialized people.
I like collecting all the time, in parts i want to be a completionist, but i don‘t care about money or having all archivements.
I like exploring, seeing all POIs and unhiding hidden stuff, but i do not need to know and experiencing all available stuff.
Sometimes i even want to have some PVP.

So i guess i would need to put myself in the middle of the quadrant.
Disapointing, because it means i am somehow good for nothing. 🤣

@dj35 some examples i did heard mostly in the 90s, since i was a bit young in the 80s and we did not got that much „West Music“ in the GDR 😉

      Joy Division:
      Siouxsie And the Banshees:
      I also liked The Smiths:
Of course First years of The Cure:
      Bauhaus, also very cool:
Also not to forget the great Anne Clark:
Kraftwerk - okay, is from 78, so almost 80s 😉
Nick Cave & The Bad Seeds:
      A bit Post-Punk - PiL:

Well there is much more, but thats literally a cross section of music i love.

(Edit: Removed the Youtube links, because the most was broken)

@Ostaff an @Tuoni yeah for sure it is just an opinion by me, will make it next time more clear. 😉

For the rest i am going with you, even with @Razvan, the only thing in my opinion is, that it would be wrong to keep a whole playerbase outside, who like it to be supporte/healer.
Ask @Shivashanti, he would have a big problem to like the game, if he would not be able to play a supporter/healer, because he has most fun in games to play such a role.

    • RE: Support/Healer type builds

@Razvan Hmm i do not think healing is boring. If you have a good system, healing is the most exciting and important job.
The problem not to find healer are mostly based into the playerbase. People who don't appreciate the healings effort, because they think it is an "easy" and "boring" job and can be easily made.
Healer are always the "assholes", because they always get the blame, if a people in group is dying, no matter of the real reason.
Thats the cause most Healer don't like "Trottel-Lotto" (means Dumbass Lotto), but walking just with their own groups, with people who highly appreciate to have this Healer.

    • RE: Goodbye Grind?

      @Chapex said in Goodbye Grind?:

Well, at least in my case I don't know, it's a matter of perception for me.

Yeah feeling similar. I could not set any limits, when something starts to be grindy.
In Salem we had much grindy like activities, but it never felt like grind for me, because there was so much of these activities, that you had such a great variety.

I am feeling a game becomes grindy, if you are forced to do the same action again and again to get to a specific goal, thats demanded by the game. My best example was in the good old days of WoW, when you needed to circle hours and hours for the Air Elementals in Silitus, because you needed that Air stuff to go to the high level content. Or the opening of Ahn Qiraj - weeks of farming always the same stuff.

If something is Grinding, is always a thing of a personal perspective.
Others may feel the grind earlier or later.

@Chapex Which foundation Level you have? Or which should be available for your from Foundation?

      They was always automatical given.
If they are not anymore, then something is wrong and @Prometheus or maybe @Specter (if he is triggering Prom 😉 ) can fix that.

      @Chapex
Did you looked to your Forum Profile?
You don't need to go to the "Settings", but into "Edit".
There should be a List on "Group Title" for all the titles you got till now.

Be aware, just the Foundation Level Title are available yet.
All title from packages and other sources are not available at the moment.

    • RE: Goodbye Grind?

I think that the „no grind“ idea of Fractured is a bit confusing.
What does it mean in the specific view to the idea?
I always understood the no grind, that you not have to kill thousands of creatures to get to the needed stuff. You not be forced like in many other games to grind hours and hours the same creatures to push your levels. That it also becomes senseless to grind creatures, because they will stop to give you KP after short time.

What it does not mean to have a „no grind“ game?
In my opinion, every game can get used to grind, if you want to grind.
Grind for materials, to flood the market, grind for money to get shiney stuff, grind for PVP kills, to feel yourself like a real bad boy.
Having things you need to do, to get your stuff ready, does not mean grinding in a common sense of grind.
Yeah, we have to collect coins, wood, stones, leather, and many other stuff, to build and craft our needed stuff. But if you are honest, it is not grinding, just because you need some hours to finish your house.

Grind is some kind of infinite doing.
Collecting stuff with a goal to satisfy your needs is not really a grind.
If your needs are to have the biggest storage of rabbit paws, then it will be probably grind, if you go out and kill rabbits for days or weeks, just to fill all your chests with them. But you are not forced to do that, you just have the possibility to do so.
