    • RE: Enchanting - my thoughts & hopes

I would like if special combinations gives extras to the enchanting, like a roll on luck to get a chance for a higher value.
      Special combinations could be

      • only flowers/plants/shrooms/animal parts/creature parts...
      • only magical/physical bonusses activated
      • only Arboreus/Syndesia/Tartaros materials
      • ...

As for your ( @maze ) grades of materials, I would like if we would find different grades of same material.
Maybe depending on how you killed your creature:

      • if you hunt animals with a bow, you make little holes on the Furs but not that much, so that your chance for a high grade tail is quite high
      • but if you use the magican fireball, the foxtail will be likely burned down, just if you are lucky, you get at least a low grade foxtail.

    • RE: Servas an alle :)

      Hallo @ElNinjo

      Viele Grüße nach Wien.

    • RE: Fall Alpha Launch & Dev Update #2

I like the Smelter and Blacksmithing Design.
Curious about how it works out to run the smelter and how to get the best fuel.

For this reason, i am curious how the trade part will work ingame.

    • RE: Item dropped from mobs

@Jetah said in Item dropped from mobs:

i'm trying to understand why i can't use a bow a goblin was using? maybe no one can craft bows, i should be able to kill a mob and use that weapon. even if it's a 'weak' version of player crafted (IE player crafted is a minimum of white, common, quality; the mob quality should be gray). it should usable but wont last for very long.

I did not said, i want that we are not able to use the maybe droped bow, but since there was a fight before, the bow should be most likely quite damaged.
I was talking about useful Armor/Weapon Drops. An almost damages bow you could probably still use for emergency reason, maybe even kill some easy creatures, but it should not be like this, that you can use the bow forever and it is better than your normal equip.

    • RE: Character progression and power

@Jetah Well, i said, real experience is always a thing.
There are people who jump into a game and can handle it perfect.
Others will not know how to play even after years.

And absolutely true, the choice of skills is important.
If i run around with just a gathering skill set, a Newb with some of the first nice skills will probably easy killing me.

    • RE: Character progression and power

      @Ostaff yes that is it.
      All depends on Knowledge.
An old player will have more Knowledge, skill and real experience wise.
But if an old player wears same as the Newbie and just take the starter spells in their action bar, they will be theoretically equal.
The old player will still be more comfortable with the controls, but is not stronger or weaker than the new one.

    • RE: knowledge

      @Birthright
You will not know which creature gives which skill until you unlock it.
You can assume. Per example, a wolf/bear/deer will not give you fireballs, but a goblin who cast it, will maybe do.
As for later advanced skills, we do not know yet, because it is not implemented, but they said in the past, that advancing your skill will take much longer than to get them in first stage.

For sure, whenever a player figure out, where to get stuff, it surely will find its path into the wiki.
So newer player will know more, if they read wiki and/or use guides, when they jump in, than older player who had to figure out before.

    • RE: Item dropped from mobs

@Razvan yeah, i think drops should be always just used as a "material" for crafting.
      Even item drops.
I pointed, that if per example a Goblin drops his bow, it should be almost useless for being equiped, but can be used to get other materials or is a base for a special item to craft.
Also i can imagine a kind of disenchanting for them.

In my opinion, creatures should never drop useful Armor/Weapons, but drop materials for special super duper crafted items.
That can even be a super rare crystal or dust to get best enchanted item with it.
And i think that exactly is planned.
To get Enchants to highest Level for all, you will need super special and super rare drops by boss creatures.

    • RE: Item dropped from mobs

Did you guys missed, that some Mobs already drop usually crafted things, like the poison or healing stuff from goblins.
I think there will be drops from human like creatures, if they usually wear them.
So dropping their Bows and Staffs would also make sense, als long they will be kind of damaged, means, they are not that good to fight with anymore, but you can use them in crafts.

Hmm this time we need 19 Citizen for the Big Town?

Did i missed the list of Materials?
I see Cereals, Stone, different kind of Ores, but which is which? 🤔

I like the early announcement for Steam, but still hope you don't go EA there.
But to have a Shop-Site is a good thing.

      Curious about next test. 🙂

    • RE: What to expect on an "alpha state" game?

@Zori said in What to expect on an "alpha state" game?:

"~I'm here cause i love the idea of the game~ and i totes looooveee to support what they're doing~"

      🤔 🤐

      😉

Well, i think you can love the idea and want to support them for the reason, without being someone who just have flowers in mind.
For me i can say, i am supporting, because the idea behind the game is, what i want to have.
But at same time, i know the risk, that we maybe don't get an result at the end.
Just to say, even then, i had already much fun with the game and being thankful about the people i got known.

Another point. I would not say, i payed for joining a community.
I just invested in a games future, not more not less.
For sure in hope, that we will get a cool game into a well running Release Candidate.
To get a community beside that, is just an extra benefit.

    • RE: Why so many plant fibres?

@Xzait Maybe they plan to use them in more receipes, that we don't have yet ingame.

But i am with you, with actual possibilities to use that materials, it is in generall too much. Same you have for meat, hides and other common stuff from several creatures.
As long it is not needed for enchanting, you get so much of it, that you don't know where to drop it, or just leave all stuff unlooted.

We do not know, for what we will need to use them in future, so it is hard to balance amount of it now. Thats the cause i am waiting till we have full functionality in the game, to decide, if i find it too much.
Maybe we have to make muuuuch Ropes later on to be able to bonding Specter. 😄

I agree with you that it doesn't make much sense to have the flax plant specific for the fibres, but to get it in bulk on each gathered plant.
For some it does not make really sense at all: Why a Dandelion should give me strong Plantfibres to make strong ropes?
Maybe it helps to restrict plant fibre gathering for plants who really are able to create strong and durable fibres.
