@iniquityx What Finland said and also it makes sense, if you start a discuss or idea exchange, to share your own thoughts first, because how can people step into a conversation, if they don't know about your thoughts?

RE: The unofficial Fractured census #1 - Age
why the last option just with 25+?
I bet that the amount of player who are 35+, 45+ even 50+ ist not that less anymore. Todays cool grown up people play games. And not that less as you maybe think.
And as i read at the moment, the other still mentioned it. Should ever read all, before posting.
I can say about me 40+

RE: Have bows in game? and what day release pre-alpha?
Also the exact date of PreAlpha is not set yet.
They just mentioned to want to enter it end of the year. -
RE: Suggestion about hunger/thirst
@Darian Ohh i would totally appreciate it, if such a system (Weather Catastrophes, Diseases ...) would get implemented.
That would make the game later much more interesting in its sandbox element.
I know games where it works very well. But i also think, it should be something for later, means as some Update after the first gamesteps are made.
And yes, some player would not like it, but i'm very sure, that many others would love it to have some random factor, where you not be able to count anymore like "if i do step1, step2, step2 and wait for exact 5 hours and 3 minutes, then i have guaranteed 54 superfoodUberBuffs". Because the last would make a game totally boring. -
RE: Foundation Rewards Question
@jetah said in Foundation Rewards Question:
@fibs I'd prefer if the foundation rewards (at least those that currently exist) stay exclusive to the Foundation. I want to see people needing to be active on the forums to get those items posted.
Agree!
What they could do is, to give the exclusive items as another color later.
But i think Foundation rewards and also Kickstarter Rewards should be always just a legacy goodie to the player who helped to go through all the rough time of developement. What sense it would make to tell them "hey, you can get all these things later too, you don't need to support us now"?At least for me it is not important to get special things, just because i'm an early adopter, for me is most important, that Fractured will be something great and will be fun to play and a game you can stuck for long long time!

RE: Gameplay suggestion after seeing vid
True @Dybuk thats one of the things we have to wait for more informations.
But i'm quite sure, that they will not push grind through the backdoor, when they mentioned not to want to have a grindgame.
We all know, if you want to build things, then you will have a kind of grind, because otherwise it will be boring as hell, if you just can build all things and you are finish without any effort.
But grind is not equal grind.
I hope there will be skill possibilities that gives us advantage for gathering ressources without taking us the possibility to "do it by ourself" - hope i described it in a right way.
Would be nice, if gathering will be so complex, that you don't feel to do stupid tasks over and over, but you will be busy with things and you will like to be busy with these things. -
RE: Gameplay suggestion after seeing vid
@Pogo and @Finland they also mentioned, that Fratctured will not be a grind game.
That was one of the first things i noticed, when i joined the community, that most of us are tired about excessive need of grind.
Don't get me wrong, i like grind that not feel like grind, because i like to collect things, but if you are forced to do same thing over and over for hours and hours, i terrible get bored.
And thats a thing the Devs still mentioned, Fractured will not force people to grind for their goals. -
RE: Suggestion about hunger/thirst
You are absolutely TRUE!!!
I totally forgot about this way to kill!
Hmm... maybe Hunger/Thirst could be a part of punishing system in PVP. -
RE: First Fractured Gameplay Video Released!
I like the decorations of the world!!!
I mean how the layout looks very atmospheric.
Well, a bit the relation between world and charactermoving (walk/run) should be adjustet... but for a pre alpha first view, it is very very cool.
The fighting animations i like still, even they will be surely not ready in entirety.
Keep it up! And give us muuuuch mooooree! -
RE: Suggestion about hunger/thirst
Yes @Darian , kill fast if you need to kill should be the sense of everyone who need to kill.
But there are surely moments, where you want that your enemy has to be hurted a looong looong time.
Not for pleasure, but for revenge. However, we should move this discuss since the topic here is Hunger/Thirst.

RE: Suggestion about hunger/thirst
Hey @Darian but sharp swords kill fast, not sharped swords hurts more
Well, i like more a kind of magic to be unique.
All this kind of magic thats not obvisious, like the might of coffee
I don't remember who said it, but i heared once by a wise human, that this waving with branches or staffs and this funny colorful effects is just for the people who want to see magic, but its not needed to operate real magic.
So i just stay and drink my coffee and smirk. -
RE: Suggestion about hunger/thirst
My gods cook my coffee every morning, because i'm terrible mooded, before i was drinking two of them!
They know it's better to care for me this way, otherwise it would end in an apocalypse. -
RE: What was/is your favorite ARPG and why?
@EvolGrinZ i got the same at start of PoE, but it helped much just to search a good build at forum with a good description and tips for beginner and after one league you get slowly an idea how the skillsystem works. After you got that it is a very very cool game and much closer to Diablo2 than Diablo3 ever was.
I was playing Diablo2 also very much, but at Diablo3 i just played to the Diablo itself and got terrible bored.
I know even Diablo3 has changed much over the years now, but still it does not touch me anymore.
PoE is different, because of its focus to try out yourself instead just for running for the best item.
I like it much even to be able with obvisiously "cheap" items to build a very cool skilltree. Its more that you choose a set of fitting items and you build your skills around them, not opposite.
Also i like to collect stuff, i can't let things laying around, even they are "crap" i need to grab them and if i really don't need them, i just sell them to the vendor.
Also i like the hideout in PoE, you can build your own place and in reason of the direct need of trading with people, you see their hideout and they see yours. Its always very cool to see, what people create with the decoration items that are available, some of the hideouts you can almost not specify anymore, because the people changed the look amazing to anything new. -
RE: Suggestion about hunger/thirst
Like @Gibbx said, if the gods wanted to taste coffee like milk and sugar they had give them the flavor
-
RE: Suggestion about hunger/thirst
@Fibs analogy is very bad, it's like comparing apples with pears.
Drinking a good roasted black coffee is like drinking a good pure Whiskey.
Noone who really appreciate a good brand would put water in it or even waste it mixed with a softdrink. -
RE: Suggestion about hunger/thirst
Wahhhh coffee need to be black.
Who the hell adds sugar and milk to it? -
RE: Suggestion about hunger/thirst
Haha, @Darian i imagine a happy guy laying in a corner of a tavern with a part of grilled chicken still in his edge of the mouth, snorring and smiling and sleeping!!!
-
RE: Suggestion about hunger/thirst
Okay okay, if you see it from this view you are absolutely right.
But it still can be a small boost. Because some meal just taste way better if it is warmed
