      Town Feyholde, Guild New Order and the whole player around us, including people from several old guilds like The Moonshadow Dryads, Deorum Mortis, Crownless Order, Alte Helden, LOOT and several small groups combined into former ABC "A bit closer" will thank Dynamight for keeping up with all the effort around the game.
      We enjoy the game and appreciate all your work you put into it.

      It feels almost like the time before 2020 within this community.

      I think that the „no grind“ idea of Fractured is a bit confusing.
      What does it mean in the specific view to the idea?
      I always understood the no grind, that you not have to kill thousands of creatures to get to the needed stuff. You not be forced like in many other games to grind hours and hours the same creatures to push your levels. That it also becomes senseless to grind creatures, because they will stop to give you KP after short time.

      What it does not mean to have a „no grind“ game?
      In my opinion, every game can get used to grind, if you want to grind.
      Grind for materials, to flood the market, grind for money to get shiney stuff, grind for PVP kills, to feel yourself like a real bad boy.
      Having things you need to do, to get your stuff ready, does not mean grinding in a common sense of grind.
      Yeah, we have to collect coins, wood, stones, leather, and many other stuff, to build and craft our needed stuff. But if you are honest, it is not grinding, just because you need some hours to finish your house.

      Grind is some kind of infinite doing.
      Collecting stuff with a goal to satisfy your needs is not really a grind.
      If your needs are to have the biggest storage of rabbit paws, then it will be probably grind, if you go out and kill rabbits for days or weeks, just to fill all your chests with them. But you are not forced to do that, you just have the possibility to do so.

      Well written!
      Every Tester should read it and think about own intension, why they are playing an Alpha.

      To the Point 4:
      A good start for Fractured is to read the Design Journals to get an Overview, what this game supposed to be. And also read the Announcement about the actual Test Phase, to know, whats new in the test.

      Also get used to the Search.
      You can search in a special Forum, per example, if you just search for old bug reports. Always check the sub forum search, to be sure to find all posts.
      You can save your settings, so that next quick search uses predefined search mask.
      Always chose a fitting search term, to find already posted stuff.

      Well, i think you can love the idea and want to support them for the reason, without being someone who just have flowers in mind.
      For me i can say, i am supporting, because the idea behind the game is, what i want to have.
      But at same time, i know the risk, that we maybe don't get an result at the end.
      Just to say, even then, i had already much fun with the game and being thankful about the people i got known.

      Another point. I would not say, i payed for joining a community.
      I just invested in a games future, not more not less.
      For sure in hope, that we will get a cool game into a well running Release Candidate.
      To get a community beside that, is just an extra benefit.

      Yeah, thats mostly because people in 2020 think, a game can get developed "in no time".
      They often forget, that they mostly see new games that are already in a pre release phase and often not even get informed how long it was developed before.
      If i remember when i saw first time an announcement about Amazons "New World", it is almost 3 years ago i think, and i am sure, Amazon was already on developement on this game at this time. And "New World" isn't released yet.

      I guess this kind of impatience is coming from the unbelievable count of new games that comes each month to the game market.
      Some of them are from big bussiness machineries who just throw out same kind of game in a new look again and again.

      I remember that we had in the past sometimes discussions about "Why Fractured need that long?", "Today you can develope a game in a month." and so on.
      Weird thoughts by consumer who just want to eat a fast game to go to the next.

      Good to see, that you are still sticking around and don't get confused by your gaming friends. 🙂

      I voted for No, because i don't think you should be able to "rest" in the whole town.
      I would go for Yes, when there would be an option where your suggestion is just valid while you at a fireplace, at least into a tavern or your own house with a fireplace or a bed inside.
      But since your character is working in town, there should be also a hunger and engery loss, as long you are doing anything.

      The server usually don't have a problem, if you mean the yesterdays problem, it wasn't related on a "too weak server", there was an issue with the implementation of the code, probably the worker. A "stronger server" wont fix that.

      The city change IS a core feature.
      Why they should stop that? Thats essential for the game, that we have a working City-System.

      Don't know what you mean, my 4 years old computer can handle the game very well.
      Please make a more precise statement, whats choppy and where your problems are related.

    • "Town controlled area" doesn't exist - how will that work in future?

      While we discuss about the both threads about Town Management and Town Businesses, it occurred to us that mostly the feature "town controlled area" isn't existing and is mainly the reason many things don't work as expected.

      Towns and their areas around was supposed to be controlled areas.
      That worked well in last tests with the resource nodes, and for this reason also the trading of this materials, since a town had exclusive access to that materials.

      Now mining nodes are accessible by everyone.
      "Controlled area" is something that just exist on a paper, we not even know ingame where our areas start and where they end.
      We don't have any chance to find intruders, except we see them by accident. Or riding around with 20 people 24/7, spreaded all over the area.
      There is no malus for stealing the resources, there is no announcement when someone is trying it.
      Nothing.

      People just can grab the stuff they need.
      No need to even go to a market to buy it. Even IF there were a marketplace.
      One of the reasons towns didn't invested into a market place. What they should sell exclusively?

      So, how we can control our area?
      How it will work in future?

    • Market place missing features

      I know, Prometheus was very sad, that nobody researched a Market and for this reason he added them into the starter towns.
      But finally we made a market place now.
      And the first two things that gets my eye are:

      • You can't make a buying order anymore, like we had in previous tests. That is in my opinion a huge step back. I think it should be possible to place such an order.
        If i am a town without good fertile grounds per example, i want to tell everyone who stops at our Market, that we need such and want to buy it. If i am a farming town, i want to place an buying order for ores and coal maybe.
        If it stays like it is now, nobody will know, what we are searching.

      • If you sell things, the money don't go to the storage to take out, but in the "global wallet". That would mean, that people need to run to the starter town, to get their money from the market, or they have to wait till the settlements grows enough and spend two research points for a global wallet.
        Theoretically you can get the market at rank 5, but the global wallet earlierst at rank 10, if you left a point open from the ranks before.
        In my opinion a big bad locking behind a research to get the gold out from your sellings.
        We are lucky at the moment to be close to the starter town, but serious, which town far in the wilderness will unlock a market place early, if they need to ride hours to get the gold and get robbed while they run back to use it in their towns to buy stuff or deposit it to the town or local bank?
        Beside this problem, it is quite weird, why the gold flies magically to a miles away place?
        Please leave the money into the market, till we grab it from there!

    • [Prestige] Towns prestige is stucking, decaying and counting wrong

      Our town Prestige stucks at 1000, so we can't rank up over rank 7.
      I don't know, if this is intended or what exactly is wrong, but once we reached 1000 Prestige no prestige is added anymore.
      We have several public buildings that counts each 100 Prestige.
      Adding one more don't add 100 to the towns Prestige.
      A small house we have on one of our personal claims within the town, it should count 50.
      The Storage Bins should not give prestige anymore, that I understand, even it gave in the past 50 each.
      But however I count the placed buildings, I never can do the math to 1000.

      At the Picture, the two blue marked buildings i added, first the Storage, where we didn't got Prestige, as expected.
      Then a second Statue, but again no added Prestige.
      The red marked one is the small house, that should count 50.

      If I just count the buildings without the blue marked ones and without the storages, it should have 1050 and not 1000.
      After building the second Statue, it should have at least 1150.

      New Order want to test in Fall Alpha the Harbor-Town Features.
      For this reason we moved Atrium to the coast.

      In general i still think i was translating too much, because some words we germans use english... Okay, maybe some words totally wrong, for example Handy for Mobile 😉 ... but i think here are more germans and can get some hints, what we better not translate, or they have maybe better Ideas not to let sound it too stiff.

      Here some of my unsure translations:
      (1) We also can use "Community" here, because we say this more often in gamer slang than the word "Gemeinschaft".
      (2) I would not translate this, because there is no real uncomplicated german word for it and gamer know the meaning of Action Combat. Maybe we could say Action-Kampf, but that sounds silly. Maybe other germans have a better idea for.
      (3) Also no translation needed i think.

    • [Community Talk] What makes you quiet?

      I figured that there are some times that makes you quiet.
      Yes, it is a bit related to our a bit quiet forum lately, but i wonder, what is your reason to be quiet?

      My is it, if i have to make thoughts and don't be sure, what to do.
      Well, i am not quiet in forum 😄 same as i am usually.
      But i often did not send a comment, because to be quiet was the better decision.

      For me would be other reasons to be quiet, if i'm losing interest or some unexpected things hit my life.

      Now it's up to you. 😉

      I don't see, where @Prometheus was decribing, how much an additional Learning Slot and more Knowledge gains will influence the game and the time you will save.
      Maybe it is just a small plus, more like "You can save 5 minutes per day".
      As long he not explained us, we can't say if its good or not or if it scratches on a p2w or not.

      For me such small additions are okay, as long they not really count for the game.
      We got in Salem Shopitems, per example a better baking table or a better planting pot.
      In the case of Baking table, it had just some slots more than the ingame one, we talk about a difference between 8 and 12 slots for dough. It sounds much, buuut if you really had a need for producing dough, you was counting more in hundreds instead of tens. So one Table with 4 slots more did not count in the whole.
      Same with Planting pot, they reduced the time for growing in a half, sounds much.... buuut to create a really effective output you needed hundreds of Planting pots. One shop planting pot not really counted at all.

      So it is always up to the Devs, to balance the small additions you will get by a VIP, so that they don't have a huge advantage and never an advantage thats count as p2w.
