      Is a standard thing to have a shop during alpha nowadays, is not like that Star Citizen will refund everyone after they have tested their jpgs models, or AoC his seasonal items ecc.
      I don't get all this pressing to delete buys, you buy something you hold it.. You can alredy test your pets from foundation or ks or pledge pack if they will be aviable, and that's maybe the right question to ask. Else we are confined to test standard things or they can also put a 0 coins fox\rat to test out transaction and pet system..

      star citizen doesn't have fake currency to buy then buy the ships (well not most of them). they're a direct purchase. I've tested plenty of alpha and beta games where the fake currency you buy stays but the items are removed because it was testing.

      problem is i don't want to permanently spend gold during test phases. the items can change, the model can change. buffs could be added, buffs could be removed. they're demanding us make a permanent decision on purchases without anything being final. and they could toss in new items every month. so i'll wait to test until they say items purchased are for testing and the gold will be refunded at intervals and before release of the game.

      I'm not seeing reanimation on a summons from another 'dimension/world'.

      the spell itself could have multiple requirements to learn. which could be all schools. the cast time could be lengthy too, lets say 30 minutes of no damage at all and can't be done in a city. and the cooldown could be lengthy too like a week or whatever to make it inconvenient. Then we can add reagents required for summoning which could require a near full inventory. and you toss in 1 or 2 people dying in the ceremony.

      yes RoD is what i was referring to.

      They are just cosmetics item similar to others we alredy have from pledge packets or the foundation, no need to test everyone if they work with the same mechanics. A founder bed is a bed, a tier 2 legendary pet companion is a pet companion ecc.

      ps. May be useful to know if only shop items or either ks\pledge pack items will be aviable in alpha2.

      that's not how cash shops work in test phases.

      they get your money when you purchase the fake currency. you get that fake currency to buy things. when the accounts are wiped any fake currency you purchased is refunded while the items you purchased are removed.

      example:
      you buy 20k dynamite gold (just calling it gold from here on). you spend 15k gold buying cosmetics. between alpha 2 and alpha 3 they wipe the accounts. you're refunded 15k gold. at the start of alpha 3 you have 20k gold again. if you spend 20k gold then decide to buy 5k gold more and spend that, at the end of alpha 3 you get 25k gold back.

      this test the cash shop purchasing. is the gold removed from the account. is the item given. are there any exploits that cause gold to be infinite or items to be spawned infinite. it test they're able to remove the items from accounts.

      there's arcane, undead, ghost, arctic, light, darkness, blood, etc!

      as much as i like the cash shop having options if there isn't anything available in game then people will cry paywall. there should be incentive to grind or play in certain ways to obtain some cosmetics. I'd love to see some unique versions too that can only be found in game. so when you see someone using then you know they played for it.

      why not the box exist as an item while containing the random item inside. we can use the chest as storage in our house! maybe opening the chest requires us to have a house (incentive to build a house!) before opening.

      And the available funding. Hosting the game is going to cost money, that's something people often forget about. I do hope that they can manage and afford 24/7, but I wouldn't be shocked if not.

      Having the game up 24/7 will produce money as well as more people will purchase a game they can actually play regularly

      depends how long closed beta is and how long open beta would be.

      i promise you that development doesn't stop if beta is 24/7. it could actually be more of an advertisement tool about the game than it being reserved for certain play times.

      just 1 ad on a popular streamer could get DS a minimum 100k-1million views.

      I was talking exclusively about hard "challenge" mobs. Nowhere I have said every easy mob would drop it.

      The meaning of challenge is that it's hard, and you have to do it solo without help, and only then, you get the head, that's bound to you.

      I don't understand what is not logical about this. It would be some hard monsters around the world, that would reward the solo kill with cosmetic. People could still group up to kill them and get their normal loot, but no cosmetic reward in that case.

      i dont understand the point of putting head drops in solo content when the game is a massively multiplayer. put these cosmetics in group content. which would also mean that the group has to run it multiple times so everyone gets a head!

      in DAoC, it was a realm boss requiring 100-200 players to kill it while it only dropped 5 (iirc) copies of the head.

      there could be a 'fight' of some sort but i doubt the demon could be able to kill the other. i'm not seeing how necromancy would be a required skill when summoner would probably exist in game.

      in the spirit of world of warcraft, 1 of the summoners could die (randomly) during the ceremony! Maybe in the same spirit, the Demon would be free to attack the summoners while 1 of them tried to enslave. ideally you'd want a tank (or someone with taunt), and a few healers as well at the summoner/necromancer that would enslave the demon.

      (I'm really like this idea again \o/)

      Think we have had this conversation before but anyway,

      solofriendly does not mean everything in game is soloable, or everything in game can be collected/killed/achieved with out being in a group.

      The entire fractured world is built on player to player interaction

      People are going to have to group interact guild trade and be part of the world to experience (and loot) everything in game

      i've seen some beta phases be limited then transition to 24/7.

      it depends on how many testers the game has and the developers/publishers.

      Typically betas are down less, but not a consistent 24/7. They tend to be on and off in bursts that are up for longer and down for shorter times, but... unless it is an early access program they do not tend to be 24/7.

      Where that is no guarantee, it is what I find likely.

      i've seen both 24/7 and scheduled betas. it really depends on the developer and publisher.

      drops shouldn't bind to the account. they should be a risk if you keep them.

      I love how GGG does their shop with Path of Exile.

      keep a core set of packs. Include seasonal pack options.

      add to your cosmetic spell, gear, pet, housing.

      I loved DAoC having trophies from boss kills that could be placed in the house. Killing the world boss and getting a head was a great achievement!

      But the fact of the matter is that baby venomous snakes are not more venomous than their parents. In fact, quite the opposite is true in a great many snake species; adults have far more virulent venom than the young snakes. sauce

      I like the idea that naturally aged hide being used for different thing or different qualities or offering different stats. this lets a group of animals age naturally or the player can age the hide.

      we all know if it isn't added at launch then it'll never be added. i dont see why accessibility has to wait till after release.

      let us test the shop. each test tier (alpha, beta, release) refund the points. i dont want to spend my gold now to have something better release between now and release.
