      You haven't played WoW in a few years, it's changed. Pre-Legion events had all mobs scale, new alts at level 1 to max of 100 could damage and tank! the mobs. Seasonal bosses in Dungeons also scale from the minimum level of 15 to max level. Right now Blizzard has all vanilla zones scale, I believe it also works in all pre-legion content.

      @lohen Mangaka for Naruto said he wanted to tell a different story so he's using Naruto's son. What I like about it is it allows me to see the kids I watched 10 years ago as adults making those same rough decisions Naruto's mentors made.

      i want to point out that fractured isn't Albion. Just because Albion did something doesn't mean fractured will copy it. WoW has scaling mobs and they never became so powerful that they 1 shot people!

      again, mobs don't need to scale up their damage to 1 shot players. I'm not sure why but every time you mention Albion I become pissed.

      if mob hp and damage scale with nearby players then zergs might not work.

      players won't be immune so i don't really have a problem, i guess.

      I don't see how instanced pvp or pve is going to be viable in an open world game with pvp.

      What if Foren is top DPs and people just follow that meta?

      Why have immunity at all. They can give mobs high resistance so people can play their way.

      I watched an anime (I know but listen) and the main character beat a fire efrite with fire even though. The main character just used hotter fire.

      Now if weapons can be changed ooc and they can embued with elemental damage then I could changes mine a little. I still think full immunity is bad game design for a MMO.

      maybe Fractured doesnt want 100m players. maybe they want enough to keep their game the way they want it. Camelot Unchained and Crowfall do not want to be a popular mmo.

      I think a fair compromise would be have both in a lore friendly way, like a portal that closes once the group has gone through so that its not really 'instanced' but means others cant go. Then you have open dungeons where everyone can. The way you make those more enticing is maybe the drops are better quality and higher quantity? So risk/reward is greater for those who brave the potential pvp.

      or not have the instanced versions so you don't have to deal with dual drop tables. personally i'd prefer to see materials drop than gear. keep the crafters happy. if people want to feel semi-safe they can hire bodyguards for the entrances.

      Yeah but none said that they will implement that.

      They've neither confirmed nor denied it. They'll have to have some great looking cosmetics to keep them sustained.

      Although thats true, they have stated that their cash shop will only have cosmetics, no premium in game items. So there wouldnt be that problem as the only money someone could gamble would be that which they have gathered in game. The issue I see is how the mechanic would work and if it can be exploited. For e.g. I decide to 'lose' so that someone gains. That kind of thing.

      and PoE also has cosmetic only items but also has account services, bank tabs, etc. They could offer an optional subscription as well as cosmetic items. I'm saying they didn't say 'no subscription item aka plex, wow token, etc. fake money can be purchased from 3rd party, you wanted to buy gold directly from the developers. and I hope they don't have instanced pvp at all. but maybe that's a different topic.

      @WaynestonChurchill yeah, legal is on top of everything before the developers even do their first bit of code (indie development aside).

      so i buy a subscription type item from the developers (eve online, wow, rift and others have these) then trade that item for in game currency to gamble. the 3rd party casino in Eve Online was removed while adding "you may not use, transfer or assign any game assets for games of chance operated by third parties" to the EULA source. Problem with a video game is you can't stop underage gambling. It also has a chance to cause RMT from gambled earnings back into cash via 3rd party.

      our arena's are call worlds. generally, developers don't want to add 'gambling' into their game because of legal issues.

      you have not got that if will be a gank fest game there will be no players like me around ;). Second thing I will do PvE only in safe zones. I will play PvP (siege kind) on Syndesia. If I will be able to grind safely. So if I get that all I will have no problems to fight mobs with hig resistance.
