so a two armed naga would be a reskin of a human? the near snake like with human arms... is just a reskin of a human? or a quad arm naga would be a reskin of what.. the bear; no, the.. oh that's right, it wouldn't be a reskin AT ALL. there are the evil rat race, beholders, minataurs, ogres, etc that could be added to the evil side that wont be just a reskin of the human. they dont need any better bonuses that what exist already.

why do you want to remove healing on enemies? without it there's no tactics; it's how zergs work. if you force them to create tactics then you'd need some level of competence so your enemy isn't being healed.

i hate reskins. too little effort. elves can be taller and their ears would be different. it'd be hard to reskin a human and pull it off as a new race. now if they wanted to offer a skin tone variety on humans then i'd have no problem (but they shouldn't be sold). i'd love to have a fantasy mmo without elves! can you imagine having an owl race but it's a reskin of the bear-kin. i doubt that'd go over well.
it's better to a new model than to try to make 'human work for every humanoid'.

i feel like it mentioned that at one point. there was opposition to that because UO has/had that where you did one little thing and you're highest stat attribute would drop 5 points because it was fast to degrade. then they created a lock so that wouldn't happen.

Bard, that used cords as abilities. the game provided (whatever the number of ability keys was) of cords that were unlocked as you leveled. you started with 3 cords that allowed you to heal, attack, and slight support. later on you had 9 cords that you weaved to do heal, support, damage, debuff, etc..

If there would be friendly fire it would have to be planet based, and not faction based.
If for example FF is turned on for evil faction, but disabled for good faction, then good faction can create zergs and be OP compared to evil faction.
So if there is FF, it could for example be by default OFF for everyone on Arboreus (so PvE players can play in peace there, not bothered they will hit anyone else). If evil players venture there, it would be off for them too (the little time they can stay there).
FF could be ON by default for everyone on Tartaros. So even if good players venture there, they should be careful and organized because they can hit each other (unless in same party).
Syndesia could have zone rules. Whichever guild rules the zone, they decide if FF is ON or OFF for everyone in their zone!
FF could then be ignored inside raid groups and parties (guildies not in parties can hit each other), but otherwise go according to planet / zone general rules. So for example, 2 guild mates on Tartaros, or in Syndesia zones where such rule is set by ruling guild, would hit each other even if they are in same guild, unless they join same party to be protected.
Guilds could then be limitless, and party / raid max size would determine how many people can travel around safe from each other. (Yes you should be careful when traveling in PUGs!! But having a need for care is good!)
And GvG for control of Syndesia would get a little more importance to it.
wouldn't it be easier for Tartaros to create 1 guild for invasions so they dont FF everyone!?

@Jetah Again, I don't know much about unity, but usually altering a string and checking if a file exists is trivial. Loading a file from youtube seems like a much more difficult task.
I dont program so I can't say if it can play via an internal browser or if it can load it within the client.

Having different choices for in town, countryside and dungeons would let the player customize their own immersion. However I think this would best be done by a stand alone app and not built into the game.

i believe @asspirin wants the music to change based on context. so town could have a list of 10, combat a list of 10, with maybe a mix of something else for other activities. a playlist just plays in the order but games do change when combat starts/ends or if you're in town.
I'd like to have folders for specific activities or a name

depends if the 1 fury wants to play on a planet that has PvX. if they want no pvp (or 95% no pvp) then that isn't an option.
