did i say pre alpha at a 10k tier? you don't want it at a 100$ tier but 500 is about right.

problem is you don't want everyone in testing. many people will just 'play' the game but you want actual testers. people who feel committed to giving detailed feedback.

the higher they place alpha the better chances of getting qualified testers. they can put beta access at the lower tiers, imo, because most of the testing is complete, the features are in, etc.

@finland you don't want your guild to look different than other guilds? cosmetic is cosmetic whether a guild pays for their guild or a player pays for them self.

@FibS I've seen it done many ways. gm pays for it directly. the gm ask for donations while also paying for some. gm demanding donations.

What I think would work best is a way for a player to buy a token that can be donated to the guild. this item cant be looted so there's no fear there.

@benseine funny but it isn't a competition. space would be a means of travel not necessarily a destination. DS could have a space expansion where space is the destination but it would compete with planets and i'm not sure if DS wants that.

if a guild wants to have fishing and hunting areas then it comes at a cost. the guild has to pay the residing ruler of the city!

they are creating something pretty unique. the knowledge system alone isn't something i've had in a game.

if spells/abilities can interact with each other then a wind user could take that torch and amplify the fire. A melee character might be able to heat their sword.

If DS can make the HP scale with how many players are attacking and assisting then it could be harder. During the Legion pre-patch we had invasions where anyone, level 1 - 100, could attack the mobs and their HP could scale.

we have access to basic skills then we learn new skills. that allows us to create a character we want without restriction to a class.

or you'll find some players just want to pvp while a group is after the boss.

generally you want a defense group and a boss group.

i'd love to see that done in an Age of the Empires kind of way. with the knowledge system there could be a way for the factions (planets) to research technology. Once something has been found then resources are gathered to pursue and complete it. This could eventually lead to spaceships where we have a multiple planets while trying to research wormhole (some type of faster than light) technology to go beyond the solar system.

if you want something custom, you should pay for it. plane and simple. DS has to pay an employee (or sub-contractor) to do the work. If DS can offer different tiers of colors and icons for banners and whatnot and have some behind a paywall.

Everything that updates things on server should be something to pay for.

that would include cosmetics for guilds including icons, colors, layouts, banners, tabards, etc.
