if there was one, it would be on the main page, in the news, on twitter, on other MMO news sites.

RE: Dungeons
I just don't like dungeons in fact, i hope they won't be instanced and meanwhile u're at a boss somebody can come and kill you so you have to be careful
that's the current plan. should be mentioned in the Q&A on DS's youtube or mentioned in the summary of Q&A post here.

RE: Pre-Kickstarter Exclusives
crowfall and cu are my current pre-alpha and alpha MMO's. I've seen many people posting negatively about Crowfall and yet it has a low entry to pre-alpha at 50$. I haven't seen that much negativity about CU because it's currently 250 to get into alpha.

RE: Biomes and Expanding the universe
figured the medieval part out, already.

RE: Biomes and Expanding the universe
@mrchipps it wouldn't be for Fractured but for another game.
@Finland you know you can still have sci-fi and still be whatever theme you want. look at steampunk, that could be setup with a science theme.

Albion fan here. I agree, I'm definitely interested and considering a semi-heavy investment into this game. However, it NEEDS to be distinct from other games in the genre. Take things from games that are doing so much right, Albion (imo) for example, and adapt them (not copy) to Fractured.
the 3 worlds with invasions between them is pretty unique. the knowledge system is pretty unique. no classes, also pretty unique. gear being unlocked (as to skill/class restrictions) is pretty unique. I'd say Fractured has more unique systems than any other single game I know of.

RE: Pre-Kickstarter Exclusives
As others have said, the server is a server. it isn't a 486 cpu trying to handle 1k connections. testing has a few parts: network code, stability, game mechanics and more. Beta is for network code, client and stability for multiple users. Pre alpha is to make sure there are no detrimental bugs that shut down the server, clog the network or crash the client. pre alpha is more of a proof of concept that things can work.
i'm just saying that the more people you get in for alpha the worse your feedback will be. many people will just mention "x is broke" but wont give details on how to reproduce it. they'll say "x skill is OP" but wont mention what other skills they have or gear they had. you wont get as many trolls because the cash required to "buy in". IF alpha has a 25$ price point then people wont care about that loss (or will get their CC to refund it). Putting alpha at a higher tier 150+ is the best option! if they need more people in alpha they can always let in beta 1-x groups! Camelot Unchained is keeping to their alpha groups for alpha but Crowfall has already allowed in certain Beta groups.

RE: Cash Shop Items You'd [Consider] Buy
all things considered, subscription games are dead. only one sub game has maintained it and the others fell and had to swap to f2p or hybrid. Camelot Unchained is the newest game to be released with a sub and we'll know for sure if it survives or not.
for all intents, this topic isn't about subscriptions.

RE: Pre-Kickstarter Exclusives
you're saying that offering alpha at 5$ is going to get DS some great feedback?

RE: Biomes and Expanding the universe
humans have steampunk style technology. My thought was more of having an mmo that went through different technology changes as the story progressed.
start with stone age to copper age to iron age to information age to space age, as examples.

@jetah bulling others? there are some things that are black or white tho. talking about point of view is something different than bulling in game tho. If someone is toxic I don't care to bully them. Morons must be punished. Like Heroes punishes Villains.
no mate, i'm saying you can be toxic by trying to be anti-toxic. everything is grey. it's possible for DS to change systems because of our views and opinions and/or from experience from past games.

RE: Cash Shop Items You'd [Consider] Buy
cosmetic items don't define a character. they may define the looks but not the abilities. Destiny 2 had the problem that every better looking cosmetic was behind the cash shop (eververse). I pointed it out a few time on reddit that there was no point in playing the game when you could just buy all the items you wanted. With the last DLC they put rewards behind playable content as well as alternatives in the cash shop.
You mention sub fee's but only 1 game in the last 5 years has remained a sub based game and that was FFXIV. all the rest had to switch to f2p or a hybrid.

RE: Pre-Kickstarter Exclusives
@Vezin it's what @kellewic said.
higher tiers deter those people that just want to play.
I'm not saying putting alpha in to a 1k+ tier but putting in a 200-500 tier would be best for feedback reasons. put beta in the sub 100 tiers, those are the people that just want to play the game and let them but at a later date.
I agree.

RE: Comparison to EVE?
from what I've read about you, I see you as the anti-toxic toxic. You tend to bully your point of view and always fight others until you get your way.
-
RE: Comparison to EVE?
i disagree. i have had better guild mates in eve than other games. maybe your engagement with eve players were bad but mine wasn't.

RE: How does Luck in Charisma affect Gameplay
interesting to get further details on.

RE: Hand Holding
@mrchipps a dungeon can be just enough that one very skilled player can solo it (pvp aside).

RE: PK punishment
http://steamcharts.com/app/440900 if a game is on steam then you can see the stats.
says 44k concurrent and 8k average in the last 30 days.
