i'm waiting for their crafting spotlight before thinking of it further. without them giving ideas what they have in mind I'm not going to waste energy try to decide for them.

that's not what i hope happens. consumers don't know what they want whereas developers know how they want their game to work and function.

we can offer suggestions, sometimes based on what other developers did and how it worked out. We can be creative but that doesn't mean it's the core function of the game or fits the art style. It might mean it's doable but the expense isn't worth the 1% of the population that'll use it.

I feel i must remind you that many folk these days, lack the patience for lecture. Thus, the pen lost his might. It is the voice, that stands the strongest. Curious, how the pen gave us knowledge and consequently, power, yet we've denounced it so cheaply. Today we have mobs killing in the name of a book they have never read (they can't ...really), a book that never asked them to kill in the first place. i'll use projected video media because they can't read.. i made sure of that. they can watch the magical projected tv where i'll talk to them. i'll also put a few smaller versions around declaring their love to me!

Just adding my own two cents here, but to me personally "experience the revolution" feels like watching a movie, whereas "join" means having an actual role and doing something. I guess it's different for each person.

that's why i said to do some split advertising.

when you join will you be able to do anything or will you be another number in corporate paperwork?

Your intention is, that the people want to join your dream of a new gamedirection. But we want to feel it.
In your sentences always was an question in kind of "are you tired about...", that points a feeling.
We all want that revolution and we all look forward to join it. But the point is, we want to feel it, as much we felt pain in the past or want to get a feeling about good old days.
I was wondering about, why my translation sounded so stiff in german, but i guess thats a good point to think about the how to say, that it will be special to be with.

So Lohens Translation of "Erlebe die Revolution!" is more like "Live/Experience the Revolution" or how @Jetah said above: "I'd prefer "experience or feel the revolution" in english instead of "join".."

@Prometheus (gonna tag you also) To me Experience the Revolution is more about me making a difference or becoming a difference. Join feels more like I'm there as a number but don't really matter in the grand scheme of things.

Honestly I'd do some split advertising between Experience, Join and Feel to see which is clicked more!

just starting to engage in the community and personally i rate there is massive potential for a F2P (within start zones), B2P on expansions and Sub for open world freedom.

problem is paid expansions/dlc will separate the community. it sucks being 2-5 expansions/dlc behind and needing to buy them, that 15$ humble bundle just increased to 75 because of the expansions/dlc.

the more times you wipe the better the starting part of the game will be. if you want to test mid or late game then you need to no wipe so often or allow a way to recreate that stage of the game. Crowfall did that with 5.5 testing where they sped up the training of skills and did find bugs for late game that wouldn't have been found if they kept skill training at 'release rate'.

with Fractured i wouldn't mind having 'pre built characters' for specific testing.

arena tournaments would be good as an event to fill in between other events. Lore wise it could be a human king wanted to know who was the best fighter and started a tournament in an arena where it was 1v1. so it became famous across the 3 planets where this one month (or few weeks) combatants come together to fight in an arena.

A servant asked the king if the tournament could be changed to allow teams, as the servant overheard one group saying they were the best... so the team arena tournament started...
