why would backups only be done during maintenance? you'd want that running while the servers are running. constant backups happening.

I've played wow for years and never heard of a backup needed of a previous week.

1 account has 3 character slots, more have to be purchased.

there will be no real end game activities. raids will become stagnant until the next tier is released. pvp should be the main focus.

talk is cheap. we can chat about anything for future content. DS has to maintain a certain new customers, while maintaining enough new pve content while maintaining enough new cash shop items. I know a new race isn't easy but it's easier than building a new raid content.

I'd like the idea of new races being put on their own planet. however, the planet ends up blowing up (somehow or is taken over or...) and the natives relocate to tartaros to fight the humans and beastkin. the planet can be used for two years (typical length of an expansion) then is removed and the natives relocated.

I played one game where the new races had to be unlocked! it was servers helping other servers with ideas and solutions. it was amazing!

only problem i have is they're using a vote system to get things added. which is good because they know people will use/want it but it's bad because some things are better than others.

I doubt steam wants a separate cash shop though because they miss the revenue.

I can cope with weekly but daily hurts someone.

I was pointing out that the reply was about feelings but my comment was about performance. which are different.

the video of building a house has logs dropped on the ground which the player picks up and moves to a cart. So I imagine that for many/all harvestables.

i don't consider a character in a game a reflection of myself. I pick whatever I want regardless of what I am.

but why wouldn't you want new cash coming in? the 100k from KS isn't enough for them. at 2 years till launch that's only 50k per year; minus KS fee's and taxes (if any for IT business. in america you're taxed on those backer rewards too).

I'm sorry but you need new clients, those also tell their friends, and maintain development progress and updates to KS/CF (crowdfund) backers. You need all three.

Steam started that way too. It was curated games picked by Valve employees.

Devs said 90-99% of the content will be solo friendly. Odds are you’ll want groups for those few bosses but mostly for PvP.

Also mentioned in this topic is no instances.

WoW has 2 LFG tools. Auto group and manual group where the leader can vet a person first.

You need both. Backers want to see progress. You don’t want the developers being quiet while they’re developing. Backers would be asking asking for updates.

Bah, I missed the promotion.

Promotion brings in new backers which helps development. They’d still need both.

The tool can be setup do to both. Some people just want bodies some people want a spiritual or sexual connection.

What I hate is trying to find a group with thousands spamming a chat channel.
