Developers introduce new races so people have choices. If there are race changes then it’s an revenue option. We don’t want the game to be 10 years old with the same races since day one. -

maybe the elves came from one planet. maybe that planet is on the verge of extension because of the war between the 3 elves.I'm seeing new planets as a means to introduce new races without the need for spaceships. otherwise it seem pretty odd that a new race is available.

For playing alpha/beta where the worlds will be zeroed anyhow, not a big deal, but if I were coming into a released game, I'd be worried about burning out after realizing my stat selections sucked.
use the power of alpha and beta to build the character you want. or wait till someone else produces the min-max results.

actually having a Litter would fit in the theme of the game. Thus having bipeds needing to move it would work.I wouldn't be surprised if someone put another on their shoulders as a form of transportation too.
You example of Tera is a good one in that they went too far. I see that game [play] dying and the dev's just want more cash by the loyalist or gamblers (from loot boxes).

Expecting ahorizontal power growth, it’s possible that rank two and rank three will only grant 1% power each or the difference between rank 1 and 3 can be 1%. Then again ranks do not have to grant power they can grant utility. -

Games do that to keep the class silhouette distinguishable.Fractured does not have classes, I’m not really sure why a silhouette would be unique. Not to mention it’s an isometric view so it would be difficult to distinguish.

But those that PvP or PvE exclusively will have less skills but not less power.
Although if skill acquisition is static then just knowing where the skill is would be only method of breaking the exclusive game type.
If I want a frost spell and it’s exclusive to PvE then I’ll PvE to get it even if I want to be exclusively PvP.

I’d find it difficult to believe an asteroid could provide new races for each existing planet.A planet could give us new skills, professions, animals for husbary, but most importantly new races.
Maybe the planet isn’t blown up but the portal or other travel method stops working.

The progression seems more sandbox oriented here. There's knowledge and learning skill levels... but there's really not supposed to be a huge power curve.
I think it will be more like the Eve Online format in that, although there is certainly a limit to the total of skills one can learn it will take a lot of time, and that time will mostly be about other goals one is pursuing (not so much just queue training as in Eve I expect).
Ideally, DS doesn't want us to get all 3 ranks of the 400 skills. They'd add more skills to keep that specific carrot ahead of us.

weapon wont matter too because of the limited amount of viewing area. if it was a 3rd person camera then you could see further in the distance to determine. I'm sure someone will make a staff melee weapon. so even then the weapon wont matter. -

Nope, because we will never have an infinite amount of skills available. We will always have a fixed amount of skills available, it's just that this number might increase over time. The number will never be infinite.
we can unlock all 400+ but can only equip a certain amount.

I’d love to see the races as combat pets.
I’d love to see combat pets be used as mounts too. Non-combat pets, or cosmetics pets, could be any critter or mechanical being.
