My experience with the game was very limited and I don't think that judging it on how it currently works is completely fair per se, as it's still in the early development phases, but the coding aspect of it seems pretty solid: it runs good and smooth. Unfortunately the last playtest I participated took place around 10 months ago and I can't give you complete up to date feedback.

@Chenny2025 Not officially I don't think. But you always can win a siege -> take over the city -> kick everyone out -> wait for it to decay -> profit.

@Jetah This will inadvertently cause evey newcomer that has found the game for thmselves/did not get referred to the game in the convention ref link way to get bombarded with messages begging to use their ref code which would just make things so much worse: it's one thing to see a random ref link on a random forum: let's face it, spam is everywhere and we are already desensitized to it. But it's way more deturring to get actively spammed right off the bat after joining the community: it's just not a good look.

@Tuoni I think it is not a stretch to say that there definitely will be small to medium one-two city guilds as technically all you need to have in order to successfully defend a city is 20 good PvP players, everything else can be substituted in the form of non guild affiliated players just taking up spots in the given town just like it was originaly intended. In this case Fractured is very different from the other alike games. So maybe we won't have a 2 party global war after all haha
However suck a guild may attract a lot of other players and grow over time to become one of the aforementioned big guild so who knows
