    • RE: Some Bugs I've encountered after a large amount of time this Alpha

      That Riverbed has been dry through the last 3 or 4 Alpha tests, I think because it is marked as a Riverbed, the sound file plays automatically, whether it's set to dry or flowing

    • RE: [Suggestion] Make cities unable to be self sufficient

      For the most part I agree with Olive here, with some exceptions:

      A Starting Market should not be locked behind a Tech Point Wall.
      City Ranks should have some basic building requirements such as the Bank, the Tavern, a Shrine, and a Jail

    • RE: [Suggestion] Right click on inventory to deposit when bank is open

      that's because, at least with anything edible, Right-click is the Use function. Again, right now, they have no intention of putting any quick transfer functions to and from banks, chests, storage facilities, etc...

      M opens and closes your map, there's a button up in the right hand corner to center. They are trying to avoid too many keyboard commands

    • RE: [Suggestion] Loot all by pressing one button

      They've already nix'd this idea. As a full loot PvP capable game, they want looting to take a few seconds. That way if multiple people can loot, they each strive to get the best stuff, and get away before something else attacks.

    • RE: Dungeons-Arena content

      @Pool

      1. All the biomes haven't been introduced yet, and only 1 continent is even playable right now, so we don't know if any kind of underground delving will be added. If nothing else, it makes for a nice expansion opportunity later on when looking to build from what they've already got. We do know there will be Asteroid events, although not the same as a dungeon delve, they are group raided kind of instanced events.
        We know however there won't be anything like long lost magical item treasure in a dungeon if it were added, because of the dedication to a player driven equipment economy.
      2. There have been a few people suggesting some kind of Arena area where structured PvP challenges can be made and accepted, but no word from the Devs yet if they like or plan to use this idea.
      3. It was said early on that one of the available archetypes that will be playable would be a Bard-type Charisma focused character, and those powers may involve the parts of the Talent Tree that are still not implemented yet. Several players, myself included, have expressed interest, so here's hoping.

    • RE: PvE vs PvP

      The trouble is, GiaoCodex, what they are testing now is the interaction and ramifications of blending PvE and PvP on the same world, Syndesia.

      When the game releases, hopefully these interactions will be ironed out, and for those who are 100% PvE-centric, wanting no hint of PvP whatsoever, there will be the planet Arboreus, the Beastman world.

      The real crux is, most of the mechanical aspects of PvE are already pretty ironed out, and those that are still buggy aren't enough to dedicate a whole test phase to, or the bugs are caused by the introduction of new mechanics as they go into heavier testing. PvP and Interaction mechanics are not ironed out, so all the testing going forward are going to be at least partly PvP intensive, at least until they introduce the Beastmen into the testing phases.

    • RE: Offers

      @Molodtsov

      All the things you've mentioned have been discussed pretty much, and as they are all QoL additions, they are very low on the priority during the Alpha testing phase, when it is mechanics they are working on.

      As to #5, the reason the horse remains with the character is rather obvious...you are given a very limited window to retrieve your corpse, and having your horse available to fast travel back to where you died does slightly increase your chance of doing so, and getting out of there safely.

      Corpse drop during death is a good thing, and corpse-timers are traditionally not superlong, so allowing anyone who had their fast-travel companion (horse) with them to rush back to their body is a good thing.

      Oh, and as to #1, it is MMO tradition, as Kralith said, that your dropped corpse isn't visible on the map, the tombstone symbol might show up on a mini-map when you get close enough, but that's about it. Don't know where you died, your out of luck, go grab your backup gear or start making new stuff.

    • RE: "To fight a losing battle, and not lose it"

      @OlivePit
      The only trouble I see with this (and I am totally on the side of PvE support, as everyone knows) is as Prometheus has said before, much of the mechanical side of PvE has already been ironed out.

      If the game was going to be pure PvE, they could probably just put in the other races, recipes, talents, and gear, load the full beastiary of monsters/encounterables, and be ready to launch inside of 3-6 months full boar.

      As we're still in Alpha testing, the Devs have to test what isn't really working, mechanically. And then react to how some things break or come up when you add other things in. This is why we probably won't see another test that is purely PvE focused, because that part they are good on.

    • RE: Game Not Loading

      @BrynnMawer Clear your cache, history, cookies, check your firewall settings, and reboot your system.

      Also is your harddrive close to full, even the best running games use a little bit of virtual diskspace to load launching programs into memory.

      @Xirinki said in Some reports:

      Already loggedin bug should be fixed.
      Character in a invalid location log in should be fixed.

      Repeating over and over that something 'should be fixed' when obviously by how you said it, you know it's an already reported bug makes this unhelpful feedback.

      The Developers know, and even acknowledge these bugs need to be fixed, BUT they haven't found a fix yet.

      The game is not set up to use keyboard commands like /??? and I believe the intention is not to add anything except maybe emotes to the chat, not using the chat as a terminal window

      right now, you can't, however, generally speaking, shortly after a month long alpha, they tend to open the server up for like a 5 day open alpha stress test, so stay tuned and we'll see

    • RE: New Limits on Locating Packaging Stations Is Unrealistic & No Fun

      Although I agree, in theory, that packaging stations should be next to fertile ground, I also understand the limitation and why it would be in effect.

      City Buildings can only be built within the city limits. As fertile ground is outside of the city limits, one would need, at minimum, to buy a land parcel next to fertile ground, and then add the packaging station to the individual plot list of accessable buildings.

    • RE: Controller Support?

      @Jetah said in Controller Support?:

      I'm actually surprised there aren't any ADA (for the US) laws to force game developers to support some disabilities.

      As Fractured is a game, they are free to use any combat and movement mechanics they see fit to facilitate their vision of how the game should be played.

      The ADA won't get directly involved with a purely entertainment venue situation such as this.

      They changed the respawn from the Tavern to the Shrine I think. As most towns don't have a shrine, your pretty much stuck going back to your starter town or your plot
