@jetah dude you are talking abou rare spowns that could drop a mount. Second thing there were no pvp in pve/rp server (I played 11 years in a rp server). For sure I lack abit of experience about the last 2 expansions but for me Vanilla was structured way better.

@tulukaruk in WoW it's ruled by the server (pvp/pve/rp/rppvp). WoW has only rare spowns open world. Not dungeons or raids. If you are in a pve/rp server you can flag yourself to enter pvp. Onece flagged you can kill flagged players but being attacked by everyone. Everyone that attack a flagged player became flagged for 5 mins. WoW has instanced dungeon, raids, battlegrounds.

They are working hard tho, Prometheus said that the new spotlight shoud arrive this week. Give him few time, he's busy. I'm pretty sure that we'll get it in the next few days. We should get also a video of PvE gameplay. He's prolly setting everything up for the best. Be patient cause everyone here is waiting πŸ˜‰

@jetah you are right I have played only one week of legion to maximize my main (I really prefer vanilla over everything, that game gets ruined year by year). Anyway mobs that scales on a player level is different than mobs scaling for each player hittin that mob. If nothing changed mobs still work with the tag system. So the 1st player (fastest) will lock the mob to him or his party/raid. Anyway offering both solutions will make everyone happy. I really don't see your point of view. How instaced thingy could ruin your ideological game?

@jetah mobs in wow are tag restricted if you are outside the party/raid that tagged the mob you are out (getting no loot and wasting your time by helping out another group for nothing). If I tag a mob I'll get the loot and the mob wont scale. Flex raids are instanced and scales based on the number but there is a maximum number of player that can do it. It does not scale infinite. If I mentioned AO was just because it is the game that get closer by open pvp wishes. I don't like it and I talk much as possible to see fractured totally different. If I compare so much is just to avoid to see the same fails.

@logain dude albion have a ranking system that sort ppl by the exp (fame) gained. You can esly see who were playing. Anyway that game lost so many players due game design. Second thing CCU is fake tho. 1 server world wide means different time zones. So yeah they may had 30k players up at the same time but how many in the whole day? Open world thngy are just zergs. Instanced thngy bring same balance and safe gameplays.

@logain 4000-6000 CCU well not at launch tho πŸ˜‰ that was a statistc after the big drop. Anyway we are going off topic and the problem still remains.

@logain Albion Online had 180k accounts at launch. Indie game does not mean that can't be popular.

@jetah antizerg mechanic = oneshot. Griefers hiding around can steal-loot. Open world pvp is fine but not dung or boss. Albion proved it ppl were tagging the mobs just to let the boss oneshot the orther guilds players. I know that you care just about gank some players around but about pve side I have more exp tho.

Where do you get a one shot mechanic for anti-Zerg? Yeah some people will die but they went in expecting some loss, that’s why they Zerg.

Albion had it too after 10 tags. With 20-25 tags the mobs/boss can hit three times the HP of a player. Anyway I hope to see enough safe dungeons/raids (pvp off). I don't like to fight mobs and meanwhile fight players.

@tulukaruk scale up it's the only solution for open dungeons/raids. That's needed to avoid 80 players focusing the same target. But as I sad before if too many players tag the mob/boss it became so powerfull to oneshot players. Anti-zerg. Anyway I hope to see dungeons/raids/boss with pvp off.

If the game is set up in a good way then there will be plenty of dungeons or places of interest to hunt.

10k players splitted in 1000 dungeons prolly better but I doubt devs will develop so many dungeons. Instanced dung could solve the problem abit. I'm not saying to remove open dungeons but just to develop both. They could create a portal near every open dungeon where the people could enter to join the instance. This way will be a player choice. Those who prefer instanced will enter the portal instead those who prefer the open world will go straight the road. The instanced dung could be ruled by: A reset every 1h after clearing it this way people will be motivated to move around and try out more than one dung spam. Forcing people to travel to the dungeon instead offering a system to queue up and get in.

If will be set like you wish there will be lots of zerg around and low population ;). Albion online got what you described and the dungeons or world boss are more PvP zone than PvE. 20-30 open dungeons are nothing on a single server with 10k?100k? 10k players splitted in 20-30 dungeons? it will be a pvp zerg. I would like to avoid a game with just big numbers rushing and spamming spells, killing loads and stealing everything (No sense games) . Instanced things keep it balanced and will bring some skill. Open world = big numbers (zerg). There's no skill at all, it's just an aoe spam and those geared better with more players will win the fight.

@target I think we are going to get abit of everything (400 spells). So I suppose that we are going to see spells working like for moba.

@benseine limit to the npc to hire? I doubt that will be a limit of the number of players attacking

Well it would be silly if you can protect your farm by placing 300 elite npc's there. If a zerg wants to waste their time to destroy your single farm then that is just bad luck.

Would be nice to know if enemies can only destroy your settlement or also conquest it. I hope only the destry thingy.
About the number should be a queue limitation. Bigger your settlement is faster the queue to hire guards will be. Would be nice also a variety of npc to hire and not only the common guardsman (shield+sword). Maybe also siege weapons for both defence and attackers,
