Hopefully skins match up to the type that is worn. Otherwise we already have some skins that can confuse players as to what you actually have equipped.

RE: Time of Upkeep of Residentials are not equal at all
What happens if a player is away from the game for a period of time say for a week vacation? I know in other games I have played that player could put themselves into "hibernation" where things were frozen like upkeep costs until they logged in again.

RE: [suggestion] Pvp zones
I always thought the human planet was going to have pvp zones. Areas you knew you would be pvping if you crossed into it. These were part of SWG as well. They were largely unused but people knew they could go into them and what to expect. Another system everyone seemed to love was the ability to throw up an outpost for your faction ie rebel or imperial. News go around the server quickly that one was up and both sides would rush to the area. Destroying it was great reward for the attackers. It cost alot to put the outpost down for the defenders and was hangout complete with faction vendors if I remember correctly. These were rare so they were camped by the defenders 24/7. Since it was server wide it wasn't a problem finding players to sit around the clock. These could be bounty hunter camps or outlaw camps for this game.
I don't like "crimes" being allowed in a game world because there is no real crime/punishment system implemented that serves true justice. Punishments become simple annoyances for the perpetrators.

RE: Why Syndesia? (or, as things stand now, would you even play on Syndesia, or pick one of the other planets as a less Toxic alternative for your playstyle?)
There is alot of info in this thread to sift through but I will add that I was planning to play human because I like the idea of mixed playstyles, plus I just prefer human play. However, I expected it to be more zoned than flagging. If you are flagged it is always pvp. I don't want to constantly be running from red hordes because that is what it will be. I fully expect the beast race to be the largest by far of all races and their planet will be overcrowded. If that ends up being the case you will have another UO Trammel/Felucia system where Felucia is dead and Trammel is so overpopulated as to not be fun. Pvp players are the minority by far in every mmo I have ever played yet seem to always have a loud presence in the forums. All mmos almost always have to work tirelessly trying to balance pve and pvp gameplay.
As for the main question, absolutely no will I ever travel to the pvp world because I absolutely despise dealing with the players whose sole focus is to kill other players. Whatever part of the game is required of me to go there will just be a loss for me.

RE: Stealin Carts
Either a typo or just trouble with english. His last sentence did say what he meant I think.

RE: unbalanced pvp - unarmed naked mob griefer.
It doesn't matter if you are on a pve only planet people will still use aggro to kill others. It happened in Trammel all the time in UO. I'm not sure what the answer is for that kind of behavior.

RE: unbalanced pvp - unarmed naked mob griefer.
This has been an issue in mmos since they began. I'm not sure if there will ever be a solution for it. Some people are just assholes.

RE: Crafting Stations and Processing Stations
The whole system bothers me. Losing items you worked for just to get them stolen by another player is going to kill the game. Also if players do not have easy access to tools to craft that in turn will also kill the game...at least for me. I can't imagine I'm in the minority on these topics.

RE: Character Customization
Realistically with the isometric view you really can't see much detail anyway. Now if you can pull up the paperdoll to view then I can see putting some effort into it. Your armor and gear will be more visible I would imagine.

RE: The Eviction/Refugee system ( Residential area solution for city takeovers )
There was a reason the devs made those spots untouchable to city sieges. There will be players that do not care who runs the city and merely reside there to use the city's buildings. I don't see how your system does anything to address the second problem you list. Players will still be forced from their houses and lose everything. How is the social player protected under your system? Those taking over will still have the right to evict anyone without the evicted player having any say in it.

RE: More defences
I thought planets were locked out by alignment. Aren't alignments able to change due to actions in the game? Are races locked into their alignments? I might have misunderstood those items.

RE: The current stats system is a turn off for the non dnd players.
@Vaiduoklis I could see hovering over a stat and seeing the breakdown into what mechanics in the game become. That would actually be helpful to a player seeing their movement speed, melee damage, crit damage etc...
-
RE: The current stats system is a turn off for the non dnd players.
These stats are adopted by many other games. Have you not played any rpg computer games? Besides the dexterity stat, for example, affects so much more than just movement speed. Changing that particular stat would definitely confuse people if it was simplified to just speed. Besides you set your stats at creation so doing some research before that point is important. Once you start playing you have less control over manipulating stats.

RE: News?
Thanks. I figured it was one not posted yet but I've been busy lately and hit and miss here.

News?
I'm showing I missed a news article. Anyone else showing this? I'm guessing it is one that has not been posted yet because I can't find the one I missed for the life of me.

RE: Kickstarter Items
Oh cool. Good to know. I like the skins overlay idea.

Kickstarter Items
I was reading through the kickstarter campaign just to try to remember some stuff and realized there were items there that people were going to get from backing. Everyone will get the cape but the expensive tiers got armor sets. Are these items going to be subject to decay and destruction or even able to be stolen in pvp?

RE: Tame monsters and make them accompany you
Taming in every mmo I have played that had it was one of the biggest areas of complaint simply because it is so hard to balance.
