      @Tuoni said in What is called human transform for Beastman?:

      I do not know what I was thinking yesterday.

      That´s what I ask myself a lot of times as well, but since I am mostly writing in the evening after work... when I am tired AF... does not surprise me 😂

      We see Lich as evil because that is how it is used most of the times, but it did not strike me as weird, just because they are using it differently. It is something "new" and for me a Lich is more of an undead magic caster than an evil being, so since they keep true to the first one, I don´t really care about the rest 👀

      But yeah, if we have transformation for every alignment, Lich should be evil or neutral. I think if they are considering something like this, they probably would not make a transformation for neutral (since Jacopo said in a Q&A video that he thinks this would not make sense), so in that case Lich -> evil 🤔

      Hey and welcome 😉

      @Urielle said:

      Why are you excited about Fractured?

      There is a lot I am excited about... horizontal progression, the three planets and the asteroids, the town and governor system...

      @Urielle said:

      What guilds have you joined and has there already been drama (hoping so)?

      As far as I know there has not been any drama yet 🤔 The "only" active guild is 'The Shadow Empire' anyways. In the other guilds, as far as I know, there are only a few who are active, and in the Alpha people (except people from TSE) just play together with whoever they find.

      @Urielle said:

      Tell me something I must know but likely don't about the Fractured world.

      If you ask this, either you don´t know a lot about the game, or you think you know everything and want to challange us 🤔 so.... I will go with:

      It takes a few hours to carry a stone through the current Alpha map of Fractured and thus... @twitchjackyace has earned himself the unique forum titel "Stone Bringer" for achieving that feat.

    • RE: suggestion on attracting huge mass of new players to buy FracturedMMO

      It is an intersting Idea, but I also think @Wolfmane´s suggestions sounds better (but prolly reduce the time) :
      "Free trials, like 7 days or something, might be a good option too, to allow people to see the game before buying.".

      But do we really something like that? People can get a lot better insight about the game from content creators, then they will from playing the game for a few hours anyways.

      Also... I don´t think this will help increase the funds for the game since... you know... 😄

      if this is for all skills and then presumably players start out with no skills are we just going to be punching monsters to death until we get our first skill?

      Apperently we will be able to choose some sort of backstory for a charactere on character creation, which will lead to certain starting skills.

      @Artien said in Stealing Action:

      n what regards has this been thought of? Like in PVP if a negative karma person kills another, can they loot that body and what do they pick up?

      Well, they can pick up what they want... everything 😄

      @Artien said in Stealing Action:

      Can items be looted from your own inventory?

      Yes.

      @Artien said in Stealing Action:

      Can items be looted from your house?

      Chests inside your house can´t be looted.

      @Artien said in Stealing Action:

      Can you hire NPC guards to protect your home? Like the carpenter contract, but for mercenaries.
      Can your house lock and how do you approve/deny another's entrance?

      Your house is a safe zone, people can´t just enter it without you allowing them to. But... anyone you allow in can probably kill and loot you 😄

      I hope I am remembering everything correctly here 😂

      Yes you can! Just select / mark the text you want to quote and press "Quote" from underneath the post. You can do this as often as you want, it will add the selected text as a new quote to your answer.

      1)when will the Alpha Phase 2 will be released they said somewhere in June is that true?

      I think the current plan is still end of June, yes. I guess we can expect an announcement of the exact date 1 - 2 weeks before the start of A1 T2.

      @DevilsDog said in About Alpha Phase 2!!:

      2)if it will be released some member told me they will post it on the news section is it true?

      I guess it will, can´t obviously say for sure. I think you can expect E - Mail, discord announcement and News yes. Probably also social media like Instagram but I don´t care about that 😛

      @DevilsDog said in About Alpha Phase 2!!:

      3)after it will be released how will I get access to the game will they send me a download link via my email, how does that work?

      In Test 1 we had a Forum Thread called "Server Status *insert current server status up / down * and how to play" in which there was an explanation on how to play and the link to download the game.

      I am sure @Znirf can give us some additional insight on this 😉

      The leader of a guild town is not the guild master, but the governor, which does not have to be the guild master.

      Jacopo mentiones at the end of the

      that if a guild town governor becomes inactive, there will be an election BUT the guild master can actually do something about that preemtively. So I would guess the guild master can choose / set / remove (can´t find the proper words :c ) the governor of guild towns.

      So if you join another guild your destiny lies in the hands of that guild master 😄

      @Savitr said in Guild Towns and Guild Mergers:

      @Farlander It is a lot riding on a single person, understanding the systems mechanically just allows us to make informed decisions. Can a guild not own more than one town? Our group already has a few town level pledges will we need to sub divide our community into each of these towns?

      You can have as many guild towns as you are able to upkeep 😉
      A Town Area does have different "levels" to it though (hamlet, town, city, metropolis?) where you gain advantages. A metropolis does, depending on Town Area size, need a lot of people (Players + NPC) to upkeep (50+ for small area? I think; you can probably find some info about this in one of the Q&A as well). The devs also recommended in a Spotlight to focus on one guild town and only go for a second one when the first one actually is "fully" built.

    • RE: can the forum be the main source of game knowledge and not discord?

      @grofire Now, I have not been following Fractrued since Kickstarter, but from my standpoint apart from a (or multiple) discussion Thread(s) about FF, I never though something like FF to be a "core feature" of Fractured, nor did I ever think there was an official take on it being on everywhere every time?. That said, even if it was, changes to the game are to be expected.

      Is not this how it still is, or did I miss something?...

    • RE: Int and Cha required stats? = Unbalanced?

      @OlivePit said in Int and Cha required stats? = Unbalanced?:

      A new player who has never tried balancing between all the options to create an optimized hot key bar for their desired game play style does not have that experience. Many of the videos I watched by players noted that lack of experience and felt unfairly penalized by having a low int which could not be altered except by 2 via expensive talent progression.

      There will be limited possibilities to change your Attribute Points after character creation later in the game to counterplay that a bit.

      @OlivePit said in Int and Cha required stats? = Unbalanced?:

      I see no counter to the power word stun/death when the enemy has max charisma other than also having max charisma.

      Actually, when your opponent has max CHA, you can't do anything against it, because you would need more CHA to actually have a chance at a safe throw. Works both ways. I think CHA is the only "hard counter" that works like this atm, and I can say I am not a fan of it.

      I have not really played much other than mage oriented builds so I can't really talk much about low INT builds, but since everyone here seems to associate INT with automatically higher resistance to mages spells... that's not really how it works.

      The defensive stats INT directly gives are Willpower and Magic Resistance.

      Magic Resist

      To give a few numbers:

      • 6 INT: -32 (-8%)
      • 10 INT: 0 (0%)
      • 18 INT: 64 (16%)

      Tier 1 Enchantment = 60 Magic Resist
      Tier 2 Enchantment = 120 Magic Resist
      Tier 3 Enchantment = 240? Magic Resist

      Some specific gear is also already enchanted with T1 or T2 magic resistance, so the magic resist you would lose from not having INT is easily replaceable after creating your character.

      If I am not mistaken, Magic Resistance also only works against ONE spell right now, which is Magic Missiles. While this most likely is a must have spell for mage oriented builds, you can also bascially counter that spell with high Willpower.

      Willpower

      Willpower, just like Fortitude, is a stat solely for safe throwing abilities.

      • 6 INT: 90
      • 10 INT: 150
      • 18 INT: 270
      • 20 INT gives a bonus of 100 Willpower

      Now I am not sure about the % values, but if we assume a bit here, Magic Resistance and Willpower both cap at 1000. 1000 Magic Resistance = 74%, so 1000 Willpower might just be the same. From experience could be more though.

      Tier 1 Enchantment = 25? Willpower
      Tier 2 Enchantment = 50 Willpower
      Tier 3 Enchantment = 100? Willpower

      Not as drastic as Magic Resistance. You can get some extra Willpower from the Talent Tree (which you can't do for Magic Resistance), so you can also work around that a lot after character creation. Not to mention if you don't have enough CHA, it might just not even really do much for you.

      It can save throw:

      • Magic Missiles

      • Paralyzing Touch

      • Slow

      And then if you have enough CHA, you might also safe throw:

      • Word of Power: Stun

      • Word of Power: Silence

      • Word of Power: Kill

      So for Willpower you need CHA to actually safe throw important abilities, wheras with Evasion and Fortitude you don't need anything extra.

      Even if you max out INT, the protection you gain against those few spells is not that big.

      Some spells INT does not help against

      As for all the other deadly dps spells, INT does not protect you from at all, e.g.

      • Ice Spikes

      • Earthquake

      • Tectonic Outburst

      • Frost Blast

      • Acid Shell

      • Fireball

      to name a few.

    • RE: Int and Cha required stats? = Unbalanced?

      We don't even have the CHA part of the Talent Tree implementet yet, so it probably is kinda hard to say where in the balance it lands.

      Currently, you basically have the choice to improve CHA to increase your efficiency using and defending the Word of Power spells, or you reduce CHA and take some other stat to e.g. gain more surviveability during the cc by increasing health / armor / resistances.

      For now, apart from those spells I think CHA really does not do anything yet. There will also be a lot more speels tied to CHA in the future, so we will have to see how this is going to turn out.

      @OlivePit said in Int and Cha required stats? = Unbalanced?:

      If most casual players dump CHA because that is the norm then that just makes high CHA and power words the way to spread the most grief easiest

      I would not say that. I have played my fair bit of PvP in the last tests, and I can tell you if you are new and don't really know what you are doing yet, the WoP series is going to be your least worry. You are literally going to get 1 hit by mages, ~2 hit by archers and ~2 hit by meeles.

    • RE: Can each of our account toons have a house?

      @Roccandil said in Can each of our account toons have a house?:

      A house, though, can be on a city plot: which doesn't seem the same as claiming land for a house outside the borders of a city. In that case, maybe your toons can buy their own houses in a city, since it won't soak up individual claim plots.
      Was that answered as well?

      Having your house in the city is the same as claiming land outside of one. You have to choose one.

      @Gothix said in Can each of our account toons have a house?:

      So each toon can have own house, but also that each toon can't have more than 1 house, so that housing locations don't become consumed too quickly.

      If you give each character / toon one house, I can create and keep up a town by myself.

    • RE: Int and Cha required stats? = Unbalanced?

      Going back to required stats, I would say STR, CON and INT are in kind of the same state here (maybe only CON and INT, could potentially also put DEX in there). DEX, PER and CHA are more your secondary Attributes for your build.

      • STR - Health, Armor (meele damage and carry weight are not really generally necessary stats)
      • CON - Health, Fortitude, Resistances against most spells
      • INT - Memory Points, Willpower, Magic Resistance

      No STR = you are going to get destroyed by meele / archers.
      No CON = you are going to get destroyed by mages / a bit archers.
      No INT = you miss out on Memory Points to equip your skills (see my post above as for the defense INT provides 🙂 )

      You could potentially take DEX for evasion and ignore STR / CON somewhat, especially since it is a lot easier to get evasion than accuracy, however during cc e.g. stuns, evasion does not work.

      I would say in the same way you might need INT to use the skills for dps / cc / tankiness you might want, you need the other stats to actually achieve damage or tankiness.
