RE: First Impressions on the new City System
@spoletta Yes, you are right. But there is a difference between a group of random players and a big guild focused in pvp. In a random group of players, with luck a half of them will protect and help in development, the other half will not fight and help, they will just use the workbenchs and play to ownselves.

RE: First Impressions on the new City System
@Farlander This system will be only for humans and demons, in Arboreus maybe only in city raid to conquer it, but it was not explained yet. Well, I was talking about it in another forum but solo players and small guilds will have difficulty because they will be focused and killed when try to mine resources, so the system will be broken again.
About what you said, smaller guilds will be raided and probably will lose the city, the difference between smaller guilds together and a big guild is huge, the game style, the focus in fights, all is advantage to them. -
RE: The decision for public vs citizens-only crafting stations should be made by Governors, not Dynamight
@LonelyCookie It could be true. But we will be ever in disadvantage, we do not have players or guilds if you are solo, I do not want to play in a big guild because of lot of things, I just want to do my game with my fellows, with this system do you think that they allow you to get resources? They will make a skirmish to decimate all that try it. Maybe for being an alpha test solo players and small guilds could stabilish in a city, but in beta it will not be possible because of numbers and guilds that will play. I was wondering about a way to stop people enter in the city and the easier way is make my guild members buy all plots around, so nobody will enter and use my buildings. Another thing is big guilds do not need to get gold from players, they can do it by yourselves, I don't like the idea of equipping my enemies or using my buildings so I`ll do all as possible to prevent it.
The numbers of cities now is 36, but the problem will be the same like last alpha test, cities will be empty because do not have people to all of them, and a lot of small guilds or group of players will try to get a city to not enter in one that have people.

RE: The decision for public vs citizens-only crafting stations should be made by Governors, not Dynamight
I guess that the best choice is cities for every size of guilds. It's an alpha test, lot of players doesn't have access yet and the changes are strange, we need to wait to see if it will be a good choice or not. Everybody nows that competitive gameplay is focus of big guilds, and it will not change. The monopoly of cities will happen, big guilds, alliances, it's a MMO.
About my idea could have small cities or villages that have your own area paying some taxes to a capital city and with a debuff in craft quality or something like this, it will allow solo players and small guilds to play like they want without a threat from competitive guilds. Surely I prefer play with a small scale doing pvp or pve, this update is broken the gameplay of mostly players.About the messages of Horizontal progression its mean that you have a cap. The cap of attributes is 25 when you reach it you need to know that you never pass the limit damage, so a player with same status and same equipment have the same damage, we do not need to train skill to be stronger, we do not need to grind 24hs per day, we will be equals, the only difference will be if your equipment have a better quality or different skills.
Another thing is, you will never can do everything solo, it is the magic of a MMO, maybe you can craft, build your own home, but will have a limit. -
RE: First Impressions on the new City System
I believe that a lot of cities become empty because its an alpha, people just want to test content and leave, this system could be a good option now, but if we estimat numbers maybe we have 20-25% of the community playing, maybe less. Like I said in another topic, guilds like TSE and OT will not like this, because they are guild focused, this content for winter alpha will help solo players and small guilds, but nobody thought in a possibility of the guild that control the city buy all plots around the city to diminish numbers of enemies or unwanted players, and in my point of vision it will be done.
A city claimed by a guild have a less probability to drop the alpha than a city made by a lot of guilds, and about other forum messages, you all are right, lot of players do not help or work together to build the city or help in the maintenance. Sometimes in our own guild have players that do not like it, imagine in a city with different guilds and different languages the probability of it be done is relative high. -
RE: Feudal System could be an option to small group of players
Well, at the moment I think that no big guilds will make an alliance between them, but if you imagine a scenario when 3 big guilds make an alliance to get technologies (it will be necessary to unlock some techs), this scenario can't be changed. A lot of things should be explained, so I'll go wait for it. I was just trying to imagine possibilities that it do not occur or it will be like Albion Online.

RE: planet moving
I was looking the wiki and I found it: "Beastmen on Syndesia lose the powers they are granted on Arboreus. Other than that, they can stay on the Human planet as long as they like, finding shelter at any town that allows them in."

RE: planet moving
Hello, I'm not sure but I think that is possible a beastman live in Syndesia, in other case a human can't live in Arboreus

RE: Feudal System could be an option to small group of players
@Gothix Its a good point, but if the governor put the taxes by your own wish and nominate the citizens the city is yours. We can substitute the governor, but all governors belongs to big guilds with sometimes 80+ players. Tell me how small guilds without comunication can substitute them. Sincerely is impossible to guilds with few players try to change it. Another thing that difficult is "if I put all my guild members in external part of the city using the empty plots I do not need to share the city with another players", but you need to pay some gold, but at certain point everybody will can pay 2000 gold for a plot., to be sure is easy get it.

RE: Feudal System could be an option to small group of players
@Razvan A real comment from a player of great guilds. At this moment the game is making you depend of the guilds that dominates cities.

RE: Feudal System could be an option to small group of players
@dallonz88 I didnt said that I not enjoy the pvp, my problem is play in the shadows of a big guild that will do all to a small guild do not grow up. If the governor put the taxes to all no citizen pay to use the workbenchs all small groups will be in disadvantage. I just want to enjoy the game with my group without reasons to play with them. Everybody nows that all big guilds will do all that they can to get resources from solo player and small groups.

Feudal System could be an option to small group of players
The winter alpha test is coming and the changes in cities are big. But with this new change a great problem comes too in my point of vision. I play with a small guild and not feel well play with different people from another guillds and I guess that exist other players like me, the system of centralize players in cities is amazing because in the last test a lot of cities was abandoned, however is hard to one guild try to manage people from another guilds, for an example if I am a governor and put to people of determined guilds not use my workbenchs it will generate rage. In the last alpha test I played in a city that it happened and it is not good, the other guilds just played to themselves and do not helped, they used all resources and we don't fought because we was outnumbered and without equipments.
An idea that I thought is use a system like LiF used.
Will have a capital city like the one of 36 mentioned in video that will get taxes from small cities. Inside of this capital city territory will have few small cities and villages. The amount of resources will be relative to the size of the city. The number of capital cities could be few in the Myr's continent and it will generate a big content for big guilds that want glory and there is a great problem to these guilds too because they can be attacked for another big guilds or medium ones that live around.
Explaining the taxes. The capital city receive taxes from small cities and small cities receive taxes from villages. The taxes could be gold or resources and if the city or village do not pay it can generate a war. Will be fun how cities will deal with that rebels.
It's an idea and I don't know if it will be a good choice because it could unbalance the game to outnumbered guilds, but is a way to small guilds that want to play without join a city with strangers. Thanks and sorry for my english.
