@Haiil and @Tuoni If there are going to be contracts in game, an in game ledger would help when managing these contracts. Not to mention help in the management of traded resources. Also I don't think it would be to hard to implement a mechanic in the ledger that ensures payment to mercenary's only if they complete said contracted task.

RE: Livestock
I like the idea of raising animals and animal husbandry maybe having a place in the knowledge system/tree. Animals would, however, most certainly be subject to trolling/griefing. Good thing there are systems in place to disadvantage these sorts of players. At least on Arboreus and Syndesia.

RE: How Friendly will this game be to casual players
@Pluto i see what you're saying, but all things considered(Gear, Knowledge System, Horizontal Progression). If you have ever played League, Dota, Battlerite Royale (I'm not saying you haven't, I'm just trying to make a point). You can see the difference between how a hardcore player plays the game and how a casual player plays the game. Because of how the game is structured, I think the winners and losers of PVP will be determined by skill and ones strategy. Which is how it should be and is why I'm excited for this game's future.

RE: Will zergs rule the open world?
@Pluto On your idea of traps. The dev's could create a trap that scales damage based on how many enemies are in the AOE. I'm actually fairly certain abilities that operate on this mechanic will exist if they don't already. I only say that because I've seen it in many other games. The only problem with this idea, is during open field battles and sieges these traps might be OP. They would need a pretty lengthy cooldown.

RE: Guard Towers, Sentinels, Golems, So forth
@Eurav Right around the 8min. mark is when he addresses the NPC guards (sentinels) and defensive infrastructure (walls).
@VyrVandalous I'm just going to make an assumption. Because walls exist, there are most likely going to be towers. However, it does sound like you can station guards on walls. Being that is the case, I would assume if towers exist there would be an advantage, such as a greater field of vision. -
RE: Will zergs rule the open world?
@Tuoni I like all your ideas, except the third option (penalizing players for outnumbering their opponents). My reason is simple, I believe whenever you can avoid penalizing players to dissuade them from using certain strategies, you should. Plus there are plenty of other ways to make zerging not so advantageous. I especially like your personal favorite, which I think could work along with your first and second options.

RE: How Friendly will this game be to casual players
@Esher I gathered that a casual player wouldn't enjoy open PvP, full loot, and no punishment for crime. Maybe there are casual players who are masochist's and would enjoy Tartaros.

RE: How Friendly will this game be to casual players
Fractured will likely be one of the most casual friendly mmo's, at it's time of release. I'll put a list of reasons why its casual friendly, but I won't be going into depth.
