But the devs specifically stated that not much about this game involves RNG, thus making me want to understand how much impact this luck characteristic will provide.

How does Luck in Charisma affect Gameplayposted in Questions & Answers
After reading the Featured Highlights about character attributes, I am curious to know in what way luck will affect my PvE and PVP experience. Based on many other games, luck has a very minor role and often does not come into play regarding loot tables, resources, or spawn based systems. As this game seems to be guild-based with interactions of NPCs, what will increasing my charisma for the effect of luck do for my character?

Will they at least be restricted from the higher difficulty planets/areas? The strategy of making everyone able to beat everyone is too taliored to the casual player. Where is the reward for the hardcore player?

@finland See but that is the issue, there is no balance. If the only thing in the game that determine the outcome of a battle or quest is skill, then what exactly will I be striving for in this game. Cosmetics are great, but like many other games, there will be in-game currency that lets you buy the latest and greatest, but what will skill get me? how will it affect my character (not gameplay) as I progress? The gear, abilities, and skill should balance eachother but in this scenario you are saying that there will be no way for a less-capable player to beat even a brand new player that has better "skill".

With the way the game develops the map, I wonder how they are going to balance the outcomes of fishing and minning...etc. May you will get lucky and find a map that is just littered with some rare material? Kind of like the goblin spawn in Diablo 3.

Without leveling or reaching maximum stats. What is there going to be that shows my effort and progress in the game. Will there never be a point in the game where a brand new player could still manage to kill me? I feel if I have XXX hours in the game and experience that should protect me from a brand new play even.

But I enjoy a unique aspect of the game where I know I wont see someone with the same skills as I unless they went down this specific path. A path that would be only available to those of a certain character or attribute.
