      stone/bone weapons would do 20% less damage than steel which makes me wonder how horizontal the game will be.

      Exactly ... and thats just one tier above primitive equipment, wonder how many there might be as it´s a fantasy game, so one would expect some magic materials. It would only be horizontal, if steel and higher tiers would also have some kind of disadvantages.

    • Primitive weapons

      It has been stated, that Primitive weapons will have damage about 20% lower than metal ones. But as game is supposed to have horizontal progress, is there anything to compensate this ?
      Will primitive weapons be, for example, better for enchant (stronger enchant bonuses) or will they be more customizable ? Or will we never ever see any flint dagger two days after game release when everyone will have metal weapons? Would be sad, as "primal feeling" of primitive weapons and clothing - heads of monsters as helmets - is nice. Let´s hope we can at least use them as skin.

      @Gothix Hmm, sounds pretty occult ❤ . Too bad there is so few gods and only one is "evil" and none is specialised in anything (all of them somewhat generalised as "god of magic" or "god of beastmen"... in ADaD every deity had at least favourite weapon - could be doable here too, just give some kind of bonus with flavour of deity - and some spells only gods could teach you. Not necesarilly gods, I´d worship any lesser demon, if he granted me some kind of deeper specialisation 😄 ).
      Would also be nice to have some casting offhand ... preferably heads of monsters from which you learnt some spell, so these would give you bonus to spell you learnt from them (example: stronger fireball, if you kept shrunken head of goblin shaman 🙂

      Yep, that added little bit of atmosphere into casting, you had to prepare everything manually but also got rewarded for the effort. Arx fatalis was also amazing - you had to draw the spells in real time with your mouse, alas it´s not as doable in isometric game as in 1st person.

      @Razvan I wouldn´t compare Albion to Fractured mainly because of saves - you may and you many NOT hit, depending partly on rng. And I think we will miss a lot 😄 ( you gotta have at least twice bigger hit chance than opponent´s saves to have quite reliable 85% to actually land ability ... so even then 1/7 hits will miss). So if character invests heavily in CON, CHA (for buffs like inspire) and at least little bit of INT, he might be safe.

    • Enough attackers / defenders during eclipses

      Looking at recruting guilds, it seems to me most guys will be either demons of humans (to pvp from day one). However beastmen can also be demons, so I would count them as demons for "conquering purposes" in battle human vs demons during eclipses. Will such battles be balanced in numbers? In real world it took 10 times more attackers to defeat the castle / fortified city. In that case, will there be enough demons?

      @Razvan There has been topic "will magic be stronger then melee?"...we dont know yet. In 1v1 it might be balanced, but once spells will boost other spells, then team vs team with better magic combost will prevail. But depends how much will "saves" deal with it, how long can be stuns stacked and whether "immunity auras" like aura of immunity fto fire will work (stack with other immunity auras ?..no matter, imunity has nothing to do in PVP).

      ...and if not the actual builder like this, then at least list of abilities with short description (what it does - dmg, cd, mana consumption etc., what attribute it uses, what weapons it needs, what´s the save against it ), because Im pretty sure most guys have already made a ton of builds with just stats. Wouldn´t take that much time to make ( in older videos we´re seen many abilities already in game - shield charge, leap attack, "pentagram ground based burning", summoning skeletons, shield bubbles, rock throw, invisibility etc. - there´s no need to put them into alpha already, just give us a peek at some new ones) and theorycrafters would have second christmas 🙂

      It surely is nice idea but such features have already been in some games (ESO had some "team spells" where your abilities had to be used by teammate and GW2 went further - your spells would would combine with teammate´s spells - combo fields and combo finishers. Yet in matches only guys you would meet using it were guild mates...and even then not that much. I´d rather work on rest of the game and on features everyone will use and leave abilities like this as last thing to do.

      @Headbash No levels, you grind only for abilities you use and for equipment you use. And the only quests you do are ones for changing effect of those abilities. Check alpha replays to see how long it takes to grind ability (but don´t forget its still alpha).

      @Razvan So far human race is a viable choice, as you can become lich (same as demon´s transformation into angel and beastman into abomination). Statwise not much is know about lich however.

      @FallenW1ng You´re right, but the way dots work make them either too weak to specialise in them (Secret World) or too strong so everyone does (Diablo III, Path of Exile when burning could double dip). Balancing everything will be issue n1 in game with so many free choices. Im just curious.

      @Razvan Game changed in time. It started with saves like in 2nd edition ADaD (spell, wand, death etc.) and was changed to ADaD 3,5+ (WILL depending on INT, FORTIFY depending on CONSTITUTION and EVADE depending on DEXTERITY - this one also lets you evade melee and ranged physical attacks, not only spells).

      Not sure what "psychic damage" is, but might be resisted by WILL save...future will tell. For now CHA only gives LUCK (overall nice stat to have) and lets you be better "petmaster" - you can have more summons and tamed pets + you can also tame stronger ones with more CHA.

      Check summary topics like this, and if not sure about something, make new topic (but first search to make sure there is none similar yet 😛 ).

      @Razvan Concerning CC - imo bludgeoning weapons are CC specialised and abilities using them are also CC oriented (stunning and slowing attacks). But these dont need mana and are quite cheap memorywise. Only stat affecting these attacks are STRENGHT (lenght of stun) and CHARISMA (affecting all rolls, so also chance to CC target). I´d also mention PERCEPTION, but in this case abilities using maces "always hit" and crit chance doesn´t improve CC effect in any way. And however INT does increase WILL saves, so does CHARISMA in a way, it even affects all saves, but also damage of your hits (with damage 50-100, you have bigger chance to deal 100 damage) and even first supportive skill Inspire shows "supportive" nature of the attribute. So for tanks, for CC characters and especially CC tanks Charisma will sure have much bigger role than INT.

      And devs stated that offensive spells can´t be casted in heavy armour, so my guess is you can´t cast not only direct damage spells, but also debuffs ( self buffs and self heals can still be casted in heavy armour if I remember correctly).

      All i know is Bleeding strike "is always crit" on initial hit, but how it affects ticks and how are these calculated is still mystery to me.

      Yes, they are, but you can still use everything and stats are not as gamebreaking as they might look, equipment and buffs will work wonders. Only thing you´re not getting is "natural 20".
      To be warrior in fractured maybe doesn´t mean "to have 6 int, 2h weapon and plate armour". Why use clichés of old games, when you can use 400 abilities with no limitations.

      One either go min-max route or roleplay. And if one wants to "cast spells in heavy armour just for looks" or "pick race only for its looks", it´s imo roleplay. And Im afraid there will always be at least 2 opinions - "I´m ok with it" and "I´m not", so lets agree we disagree 🙂

      But we got away from original topic which was Attributes reset.
